It was a highly satisfying stay.

We stayed as a group of four—my spouse and I, and my parents. The views were wonderful: both the lobby and our Rooms had an open, relaxing lake view. The top-floor public bath we used and the dining venue also felt clean and comfortable, with a simple, uncluttered design. The infinity open-air bath was perfect in the weather we had, and we really enjoyed the scenery. There is also a “Showa-era” bath on another floor. We didn’t use it because it doesn’t have an outdoor section, but it may be interesting for those who want to experience that nostalgic atmosphere. We were lucky that our two Rooms were right in front of the elevator and had balconies—an ideal spot to enjoy the fireworks over the lake at night. With elderly family members traveling with us, we also appreciated that the Accommodation wasn’t overly large, so getting around was easy. For the large public bath, you bring bath towels from your Room, but it was great that two bath towels per person were provided in advance. We also appreciated the small hand towel placed by the sink separately from the face towels—such a thoughtful touch. The toilet in our Room was clean with no issues, though interestingly, the lobby restrooms had newer features and felt even more comfortable. Everything at the buffet was delicious—we ate too much at both dinner and breakfast. It may depend on timing, but if you avoid peak hours at dinner, they seem to prioritize seating with better views. After checkout, we regretted missing out on buying souvenirs from the sweets shop with an attached café behind the gift shop area. It’s important to check their opening hours and when purchases are available—it looked very tempting. All staff provided pleasant service throughout our stay. My husband was especially impressed by how wonderfully one of the male front desk staff handled checkout—it made our trip even more memorable.

Showa Onsen is a hidden gem!

The Room we stayed in was so spacious that it felt more than comfortable for two people. We could even watch the fireworks from the Room. The buffet showed a lot of thoughtful touches. I expected it to be more crowded, but thanks to well-managed time slots, we were able to dine comfortably. The sushi and steak were delicious, and we went back for seconds. The soft-serve ice cream was also great. For breakfast, the hitsumabushi-style ochazuke, freshly pressed apple juice, pudding, and omelet were all delicious. There are two bath areas. Of course, the rooftop open-air bath was wonderful, but since I grew up in the Showa era, I especially enjoyed the large public bath designed like a classic Showa-style sento. It didn’t suit everyone’s taste, so it felt like having the whole place to myself at night and again in the morning. It’s very unique—if you’re from the Showa generation, please give it a try. You can enjoy everything from the nostalgic TV to the wash basins and changing area! Our Room also included lounge access, which made our stay even more fulfilling.

This was our second stay. Our whole family loved it last time, so we made a Reservation again without hesitation. The dining here is outstanding—although it’s a buffet, everything looked so good that we wanted to try it all, and every dish was delicious. The Room and the baths were also great, and the nighttime fireworks were beautiful and truly impressive. We’d love to stay again!

The lake view was absolutely stunning, and it was especially memorable that we could watch the fireworks directly from our Room at night. On the other hand, the in-room Facility felt quite old, and there was a noticeable amount of dust. Also, the Room air conditioner barely worked, making it very hot and humid. A staff member kindly set up a portable air conditioner for us, which helped a lot, but without it I think it would have been difficult to stay comfortably. Because the lake view and fireworks were truly wonderful, I believe this would be an even better stay if the guestroom Facility and cleanliness were improved.

    The view was great.

I visit Lake Toya in summer every year. The cool weather is something I look forward to, and I choose my Hotel carefully. Parking guidance was smooth and helpful. I was shown to a private lounge, but the view was disappointing. Checking in at the spacious lobby might be better. I carried my own luggage. I didn’t have high expectations for the Room, but the window was small and it felt quite plain. The sofa was large and comfortable to sit on. One of my pleasures is relaxing in the Room while watching movies or YouTube, so I contacted a web operator in advance. I was told: “Regarding the in-room TV, you can only watch terrestrial and BS channels. If you would like to watch video streaming services such as YouTube on the TV screen, please bring your own connection equipment such as an HDMI cable and connect (mirror) your smartphone to the TV.” Based on that message, I rushed to buy an HDMI cable at an electronics store and brought my laptop as well—but the Room TV already had both YouTube and Netflix available. After preparing everything all the way from Tokyo and carrying heavy luggage, I was very disappointed—and exhausted. Was this due to a lack of knowledge by the operator or poor internal communication? It would be better to ensure accurate information is shared consistently. The food was average, but dining while looking out over the lake was very relaxing!!

    Family Trip

We planned a family trip after seeing photos of the open-air bath and wanting to stay here. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Check-in was quick, and the buffet meals were delicious across the board—we were impressed by the high quality. The open-air bath was amazing with views of Lake Toya. The fireworks we could see from our Room were beautiful, and we made wonderful memories.

A Hotel with Stunning Views and an Excellent Onsen

I stayed at Nonokaze Club. All Rooms have a lake view along the shore of Lake Toya, so you can watch the Lake Toya fireworks from your Room. The boat and sightseeing cruise docks are also right in front, which is very convenient. The Onsen was also wonderful—the panoramic bath and large public bath were very spacious and relaxing. We had the French course meal, and it was excellent. The fresh seafood and local ingredients were used beautifully, which was impressive. I would definitely like to visit again. The only disappointment was that there was only one face towel provided; I would have liked a body towel or at least two towels.

    The view is spectacular.

    • Room The DX Suite Room at Nonokaze Club was more than spacious enough for three people, and we enjoyed stunning views and fireworks from the Room. • Meals The food was delicious, with a Hokkaido feel and thoughtful touches that kids could enjoy. Since there were many overseas tour groups, the dining area was quite lively. However, there were plenty of staff working efficiently, so clearing tables was handled smoothly. • Onsen The panoramic bath offered an amazing view over Lake Toya—it was fantastic. • Gift shop It’s well organized, with everything from standard souvenirs to more unique, thoughtful items. Overall, it was a vibrant Accommodation that is clearly working very hard. Great staff can’t be achieved overnight and they make the biggest difference in a Hotel’s impression—an Accommodation with excellent staff leads to high satisfaction. We will stay here again when we visit Lake Toya.

    The bath was amazing.

The open-air bath with its seamless view of Lake Toya was outstanding. The buffet offered a wide variety of options at both dinner and breakfast, and we really enjoyed it. We were moved to see the fireworks right outside our window.

    We really enjoyed our stay.

Despite the crowds, the staff were very attentive, including handling check-in in the lounge, and my wife’s parents and sisters were also pleased. The panoramic bath was outstanding for both the view and the quality of the hot spring water, and the food was excellent in both variety and taste. The only disappointment was that seating in the buffet restaurant was quite tight, so we had to be careful even when moving our chairs back to go get food. The Diamond member benefits were also great, and overall we had a wonderful stay. Thank you very much.

Both the Room and the Onsen were wonderful, and we had a very comfortable stay. Every dish included in the one-night stay with two meals was delicious, and we were very satisfied. We were also delighted with the complimentary wine from IKYU.com—thank you very much. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.

A Cozy Restaurant and a Large Public Bath

At last, I was able to visit this lakeside Hotel. The restaurant offers breakfast and dinner buffets, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches such as separating and organizing the menu items. The sushi and pizza were especially good. From the bath, I could even see Mt. Yotei in the distance, which was very satisfying. I would have liked clearer notice that depending on the Plan, parking may be in the second lot.

The view of Lake Toya from the panoramic bath was outstanding.

Upon entering the Hotel, we were impressed by the modern, spacious lobby. From our Room, we enjoyed a wonderful panoramic view of Nakajima Island on Lake Toya and even Mount Yotei with lingering snow. The highlight was the view from the rooftop observation bath; we woke up early to watch the sunrise while soaking and taking in the scenery. Both dinner and breakfast featured an extensive buffet with more choices than we could try, letting us fully enjoy Hokkaido—everything was excellent.

    The meals are absolutely incredible.

Once you visit, you’ll become a fan. Like the people at the next table said, coming to Hokkaido just for this place—I completely agree. The large number of international guests may be because it’s well known for its great Reviews.

A stylish, well-designed Hotel, and the meals were very satisfying. I was surprised at how busy it was even on a weekday. The staff’s attentiveness was excellent, and it made for a wonderful trip—thank you very much.

    A Hotel I Like Overall

I stay at this Hotel 4–5 times a year because I can travel with my dog. Since this is a Room for staying with my dog, it would be great to have an inner door at the entrance to help block hallway noise that can bother him. Also, if there were a microwave, I could warm up his food, which would make it the perfect Room.

    Thank you very much.

We stayed here with our dog. Both the bath and the food were excellent. Above all, every staff member was wonderful—during check-in and check-out, in the dining area, and even when we passed each other in the hallway, everyone greeted us with a smile, which left a great impression. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much for seeing us off in the rain on our departure day.

    An Accommodation with Warm Hospitality

It was my first stay in about 10 years. Just as I remembered, the room, the view, the meals, and the Onsen—everything was completely satisfying. Above all, the staff’s bright smiles and thoughtful hospitality (including international staff) were wonderful and made our trip even more memorable. One small disappointment was being directed to a parking lot away from the Hotel despite there being plenty of space right in front, but the Shuttle Service driver kindly shared the quickest route to New Chitose Airport, and we enjoyed a pleasant chat during the short ride. I look forward to staying again. Thank you very much for everything.

    It was delicious.

As I was traveling with my 92-year-old father, we chose the kaiseki dinner instead of the buffet in the evening. We were able to relax, and the meal was delicious, with plenty of locally sourced ingredients. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options and was very tasty, including freshly pressed apple juice and Caesar salad. When we left, the staff waved enthusiastically to see us off, which really moved me. The bath was spacious and nice, but when I went in during the evening, for some reason it was so steamy that I couldn’t see ahead clearly, which felt a bit scary.

    We had a relaxing stay.

We arrived early, but they kindly let us rest in the lounge. The food was lightly seasoned and carefully prepared, and the rice porridge after the hot pot was especially delicious. It was a very cold day, so it would be nice if the hallway were a bit warmer.

I stayed in a room with an onsen. Although the layout with the bedroom and restroom right at the entrance was not ideal, the spaciousness of the washroom and onsen was very comfortable. The dinner buffet was creatively designed and quite interesting. The large public bath had plenty of washing stations, a pleasantly warm temperature, and steam that created a magical atmosphere. The open-air bath had a wonderful ambiance during the soft purple twilight, making it hard to leave after soaking for so long. While I did not expect much in terms of service from a large hotel chain, I received excellent and pleasant service during check-in and check-out. Thank you very much!

The buffet selection has been downgraded.

I have visited multiple times, but this time the buffet seemed to have declined in quality. The variety of small appetizer dishes that used to be available has been replaced with a four-option soup bar. For breakfast, the squid salted fish was no longer offered, and there seemed to be fewer bread options as well. However, the guest rooms were renovated and clean, the lounge at "No-no-Kaze Club" was comfortable (the coffee served here is exceptional), and the staff provided pleasant service without any issues.

A spa resort hotel that is comfortable to stay at no matter how many times you visit.

After about two and a half years, we used the "No no Kaze Club Plan" for a 1-night, 2-day stay. At check-in, we were warmly greeted with "Welcome back," which deeply moved us (even though we knew repeat guests are always welcomed this way). The hotel and room were warm, very comfortable, and incredibly relaxing. The meals were outstanding, making a Multiple Night Stay essential to fully enjoy them. The large public bath was not crowded, and the "Showa no Yu" was almost like having it all to ourselves. This is a spa resort hotel that can be enjoyed by couples, friends, families—everyone!

The hospitality of the staff is exceptional.

From the moment we arrived, we enjoyed bathing, dining, and our stay to the fullest. From check-in to meals, shopping, and check-out, the staff's attentiveness was truly exceptional. Every meal was delicious with nothing to complain about. We also enjoyed various Onsen experiences, and my friend who came along was absolutely delighted. We would love to visit again!

    Perfect for traveling with pets!

We stayed here for our beloved dog's birthday trip! We used the smaller pet-friendly room for two adults and one small dog, and it was spacious enough! We've visited other pet-friendly hotels in Hokkaido, but from a "dog's perspective," this is the best in the area! All pet-friendly rooms are located on the first floor, with direct access to Toya Lake's lakeside park through a window, making it very convenient for walks. Our dog seemed very happy! There’s also an indoor and outdoor natural grass dog run on the same floor, which was impressive! There were many foreign staff members, but everyone spoke excellent Japanese and provided thoughtful service that left us deeply moved. As for the rooftop Onsen, there were some hairs on the dressing room floor which felt a bit unpleasant. I understand it's hard to keep up with cleaning due to high usage by guests. However, having tools like quick wipers or lint rollers available would allow guests to clean up lightly after themselves or quickly tidy up when noticing hair on the floor. I think this would be great—please consider it!

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary trip. The lobby, restaurant, Room, and even the observation bath offered a stunning view of Lake Toya, allowing us to enjoy a truly wonderful time. The meals had such a wide variety that it was almost disappointing not to be able to try everything because everything was so delicious. Additionally, we were deeply touched by the thoughtful gift we received for our anniversary. It made for an unforgettable celebration. Thank you for providing us with such a happy and memorable experience!

The buffet at the Hotel was delicious, with the desserts being particularly outstanding. The view from the large public bath was breathtaking and truly spectacular. However, the noise from the hairdryer was quite loud and a bit bothersome; it might be time to consider replacing it. The Room's amenities also felt slightly dated. Additionally, caution is needed with the elevator as it cannot be operated from outside and there is a risk of getting caught. I made my Reservation through IKYU.com, but note that the shuttle bus to Sapporo is not free of charge. Even so, since the food exceeded expectations in taste, I would still give an overall high rating.
