    Best Location!!

    The location overlapping with Hawaii was fantastic and made for a wonderful experience! One suggestion: since guests have a limited appetite, it would be delightful if you could consider offering juice, coffee, alcohol, and snacks in the lobby to make the most of the excellent location. *This might also reduce the amount consumed at the dinner buffet, balancing things out. However, I understand that increasing staff numbers might be challenging. Still, I hope Irago Ocean Resort can spread smiles like ripples across The whole country and become known as a smile-generating Hotel. Thank you!

    Family Trip

    The view is excellent, but one downside is that the kids' play area requires an additional fee. Typically, such facilities in a Resort Hotel are free of charge! Also, having a takeaway coffee station after breakfast would be helpful. Nowadays, many Hotels allow guests to take a cup of coffee back to their Room. Posting this on Instagram could serve as great promotion for the Hotel!

    The location feels just like Hawaii!!

    It was an open-air bath with the best view.

    This was my first visit to Cape Irago. I saw it in a travel magazine and thought it looked wonderful, so I decided to stay for a Multiple Night Stay while on my way to Shizuoka. Although it's not the easiest place to get to unless you make an effort, I’m glad I went. The Room at the Hotel on the hill was very spacious and clean, with stunning views of the cape and the Pacific Ocean from the window. Soaking alone in the open-air bath made me feel like I was in heaven—it was that relaxing! The buffet meals were delicious, though I gave up trying to secure a window-side seat (haha). The price for one night with two meals included was unbelievably reasonable. Hearing that there are two free Shuttle Service buses per day from the Shinkansen station (a 70-minute ride), it’s no surprise that many senior couples choose this destination. Next time, I'm considering taking a ferry to Toba Port as part of my trip. Thank you!

    Wonderful Hotel

    Thank you very much for your exceptional hospitality. The Hotel was attentive to every detail, making our stay truly comfortable. The breakfast and dinner buffets were incredibly delicious, and we found ourselves indulging a bit too much. The view of the sea and beach from the Room's window during both morning and evening was stunning, and we couldn't stop admiring it. The staff were extremely kind, friendly, and always greeted us with warm smiles that truly soothed our hearts. We are also grateful to the staff at the shop on the second floor for their helpful advice. It was an amazing trip that our entire family enjoyed immensely—beyond 100 points! Thank you so much!

    For the purpose of Ganbanyoku and Onsen.

    I made a Reservation because I heard that a new stone sauna was available. The Room was upgraded, and since I stayed alone, it was spacious and comfortable. However, it rained that day, the temperature was low, and at night it got colder. The air conditioning system throughout the facility only provided cooling, which made the cold unbearable at night. I woke up due to the chill and found it inconvenient as wearing a yukata wasn't warm enough. Although I received a blanket, it felt like a heavy carpet... Also, while the Room seemed renovated and clean, the toilet appeared old and surprised me. Since its door opened inwardly, entering or exiting was difficult; this part should be improved. It was also challenging to place slippers there due to limited space—this aspect caused significant stress during my stay. Regarding the stone sauna: as there were no specific outfits provided for use in the sauna area (only towels), being naked with just towels felt awkward for me as a first-timer. Providing something like one-piece attire would be appreciated. For sitting types of saunas with only towels available—it wasn’t easy to position them properly; my back became extremely hot from direct contact with surfaces! This hindered relaxation despite how clean everything looked—it felt like wasted potential here. On another note—the bathhouse facilities including saunas were excellent! As for meals—they were buffet-style; nothing particularly outstanding nor disappointing overall either way!

    Mostly satisfied.

    Overall satisfied, but the toilet in the Room was uncomfortable. Stayed in a Superior Japanese-Western Room, and the Room was clean and comfortable. Perhaps the toilet remained unchanged during renovation? Would appreciate attention to not only the Room but also the toilet. Also, the window in the Room could not be opened at all; even a small window would have been nice to let in some fresh air. Other than that, the view was excellent, and both breakfast and dinner buffets were amazing—thank you!

    It was very comfortable.

    It was unfortunate that I couldn't see the sunrise I was looking forward to due to rain on the night of my stay. As for the hotel, I am grateful for a very pleasant time with the room, meals, bath, and hospitality. If there were a service to take coffee back to the room after meals, it would have been perfect. I hope to visit again if I have another opportunity. Thank you very much.

    Recommended for families

    I revisited this accommodation after staying before its renovation and having a great experience. The hotel has become even more beautiful overall, giving a sense of being upgraded. The cleanliness of the restaurant was particularly impressive. The bath still offers an amazing view, providing true relaxation. The meals were delightful, with the Chinese dishes being quite authentic and spicy in a good way. While some other dishes felt somewhat standard, there was an extensive variety despite rising costs. There was also a buffet corner for children featuring items like chicken rice and hamburg steaks, as well as soft-serve ice cream and what seemed to be strawberry chocolate fondue. The presentation was adorable and fun, making the kids very happy. Check-in after 3 PM was slightly crowded but check-out went very smoothly. Our room measured 22 square meters—spacious enough for two adults and one preschooler—with an extra bed already prepared for us to enjoy our stay comfortably. Overall, the service exceeded expectations with attentive staff providing excellent hospitality at this hotel that left us highly satisfied. I would love to stay here again!

    A beautiful Hotel with breathtaking views

    After visiting Ise Jingu from Tokyo, we took a ferry from Toba Port to Irago. During the first weekend of Golden Week, we stayed at this Hotel as we were able to secure a Reservation. The Hotel seems proactive in renovations, and everything from the lobby to the Room and bath was clean and comfortable. The view from the Room and bath was stunning, allowing us to fully enjoy our first visit to the Atsumi Peninsula. Additionally, we appreciated the upgrade of our Room—thank you!

    Cost-effective Hotel

    We stayed as a couple. We've stayed at various places, but this was good for the price. The bath was spacious and clean, and the view of Koiji Beach from the open-air bath was breathtaking. The buffet dinner was average. Alcohol prices were high, which might be an issue for those who enjoy drinking. There were no hand towels in the Room, so using paper to dry hands felt inconvenient. The Room was clean and beautiful, possibly due to recent renovations, with an excellent view. Overall, it is a highly satisfying Hotel.

    The sandy beach is lovely.

    Reservation via IKYU. A Hotel I’d love to visit in summer. The views, sandy beach, and resort atmosphere are perfect. There isn’t much sightseeing nearby, but the sea alone is enough. Ideal as a family-friendly Resort Hotel. It was great that you can take a ferry to Toba. Note: You need to line up at least one hour in advance for the ferry, or you may not be able to board.

    Starting from scratch

    The price was reasonable, making it convenient for a large group trip, but the front desk staff's service was the worst among all accommodations I have stayed at. The meals and onsen were good. Even if you arrive before check-in time, you will be made to wait in the lobby until after 3 PM. The lobby gets overcrowded with guests in the same situation, and even without seating available, we waited for over 30 minutes. After 3 PM, there was a loud announcement in the lobby informing everyone that they could enter their rooms simultaneously, leading to long elevator queues. It would maintain the hotel's dignity if guests were called individually based on their arrival order. The front desk staff's attitude was extremely poor. When I asked questions, they responded with displeased expressions. During my stay, I called from my room twice to ask questions but never got an answer and had to go down to the lobby instead. The system for meal times is unclear; no matter what time you go, as it nears closing time, buffet dishes are covered with plastic wrap—so going early is recommended—but this wasn't explained at all beforehand. Even when passing by staff in hallways, there were no greetings or nods of acknowledgment. The cleanliness of both the room and floor restrooms was comparable to public toilets' level of dirtiness. The restaurant staff provided the most polite service during our stay. While affordable pricing and various types of onsen are appealing points here if you're expecting a resort experience you'll be very disappointed—knowing about poor customer service beforehand might help manage expectations better for enjoyment during your visit!

    First Time in Irago

    Stayed from Nara. Being from Aichi and having lived there for 24 years, this was my first time in Irago. It was a wonderful hotel that added charm to my stay. For dinner, I chose French cuisine instead of the buffet, and it was both delicious and visually delightful. The service was excellent as well.

    This is a recommended Resort Hotel on the Atsumi Peninsula!

    We booked this property as a New Year's trip for two generations, with the parents from Kansai and the children from Shizuoka, as it is located midway between them. The room was for four people, but there was plenty of space, and the bath included an open-air bath with a spectacular view, making it a great onsen experience. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style with a wide variety of dishes, which especially satisfied the younger generation. During the New Year period, it was very crowded with guests ranging from our generation to those with small children. However, all the staff members were dedicated and kind in their service to each guest individually, allowing us to have a comfortable time together as a family. On our way there we traveled from Toyohashi Station (Toyohashi Eki), and on our return journey we used the Ise Bay Ferry via Toba Port (Toba Ko) after visiting Ise Jingu Shrine (Ise Jingu). Using the ferry significantly shortened access time even from Kansai area. We would love to use this property again for another family trip.

    I want to visit again!

    It was my first time using this Property. Since it was during a holiday, there were quite a few guests, but the particularly good points were: - Smooth check-in process - Great view from the Room! (The rooftop observatory was windy, but I was very satisfied with the expansive ocean view unique to this Hotel) - The Onsen wasn't crowded, allowing for a leisurely experience - The buffet at night and in the morning offered a wide variety of delicious options! (I especially felt that the quality of sweets, seafood, tempura, and Chinese dishes was high) I had a wonderful time at an affordable price. I would like to visit again in a different season next time!

    I want to stay again!!

    It was very wonderful. The view from the bath was amazing, and the combination of the sunset and Irago Cape was truly splendid. The Room was also great, allowing for a relaxing time. However, it was so comfortable that a check-out at 11 o'clock would have been more enjoyable!

    Very satisfied with the view and meals.

    I stayed in a room on the 7th floor, and the view from the window was wonderful. Both the buffet-style dinner and breakfast had a wide variety of menu items, and they were delicious, which made me very satisfied. Thank you to the staff for taking care of us during meals. This time I used it for the Nanohana Festival and strawberry picking, but next time I would like to use it for melon picking.

    We visited on New Ye...

    We visited on New Year's Eve, December 31st. The large public bath was equipped with a sauna and an open-air bath, and it was very spacious, allowing many people to relax without feeling crowded. It seemed that some people were using the bath facilities without staying overnight. The open-air bath offered a view of the Pacific Ocean right in front of us, and it was such a perfect time that I wanted to stay in, with my head cool and my body warm, while gazing at the view. On New Year's Day, we were able to enjoy the first sunrise of the year from the rooftop. I recommend this Hotel to those who want to see the first sunrise beautifully over the Pacific Ocean. The breakfast included traditional New Year's dishes and freshly made mochi, allowing us to fully enjoy our first New Year's trip. It was fun. Thank you very much.

    Used for the first New Year's with grandparents, accommodating 5 people.

    We used it for the first time during New Year's with my grandparents, making it a group of five. It was our first time in Irago in seven years (we usually visit during Obon). The building itself remained unchanged, but the Room was lovely. Amenities are available at the front desk, with skincare by DHC, which my husband also liked. The Room's body and hair care products are all by Kao, providing reliable skincare that even children can use. I was slightly concerned about the mold on the bathroom curtain. The buffet we were looking forward to was very satisfying! There was a kids' menu with chicken rice, hamburgers, nuggets, takoyaki, strawberry fondue, and ice cream, which the children were very pleased with. Of course, adults wanted to try everything, but the menu was so extensive that we couldn't finish it all, with Japanese, Chinese, Western, seafood (mussels, raw shrimp), meat, and spare ribs, allowing us to eat endlessly. The meat was thick, so it would have been better if it were thinner so that children could eat without cutting. The whole family agreed that Irago's buffet is the best. The Room's air conditioning was too hot, and I felt that short sleeves were sufficient inside the Hotel. When I contacted the front desk, they responded immediately and brought us a fan. It would have been nice if there were a few more items in the souvenir shop. It would have been nice if body towels could be selected as a self-service amenity. We were provided with a Room with a great view on the 6th floor, and we were given two adjacent Rooms, allowing the children to move back and forth and enjoy themselves. It became a New Year's trip that the whole family was very satisfied with. We would like to use it again.

    Good.

    The view was amazing. Everything except the unit bath and toilet has been nicely renovated. The staff service was excellent. Highly recommended.

    The rooms were renov...

    The rooms were renovated, so they were very nice. The meals were not so great because we couldn't choose a course meal and had to go with a buffet style, which meant that the hot dishes were cold by the time we ate. I guess it can't be helped. The salads were fresh. There was a wide variety, which I think is suitable for young people. You have to take the room amenities and yukata to your room yourself, but for some reason, only the women's amenities are placed at the front desk, which is confusing. It would be better to have them all in one place.

    It was very good.

    The room was very clean and faced the sea. The onsen had a very good spring quality, so I entered it in the early morning, even though I usually only go once. For dinner, I chose a Japanese kaiseki meal, and I was able to enjoy a very autumnal and beautiful dish made with local ingredients. The staff were kind and selected recommended sake for me, making it a very satisfying stay.

    Stay after 3 years

    I stayed after a long time. The wonderful ocean view remained unchanged and was amazing. The interior has been renovated, and I was surprised to find it transformed into a very chic and calm Resort Hotel. The Onsen was very warming, and it was great that the women's bath had a free stone sauna. For dinner, I always use the restaurant, and the French cuisine utilizing local ingredients was very delicious. Wine lovers will be pleased that the variety of wines has increased, and you can now enjoy wine in the entrance shop. There was great consideration for small children, such as attention to strollers at the breakfast venue and a kids' park, so I would like to visit again next time with my grandchildren.

    We enjoyed it as a family.

    We stayed as a family of four (two adults, two children) for a weekend trip. The exterior shows some age, but the interior has been renovated and is very clean. The dinner and breakfast buffets offer a wide variety, and considering the price, they are quite satisfying. We also enjoyed the all-you-can-drink alcohol, which felt like a great deal. We had a good time playing table tennis with the kids and spent quality time as a family. The onsen is spacious, and the water temperature is just right for relaxation. It's not too hot, so it's comfortable even for a long soak. The property offers excellent family-oriented services throughout, and we would definitely like to use it again.
