  Aomoriya

  The Room and Onsen were spacious and provided a relaxing environment. Above all, the Michinoku Festival and Nebuta show were absolutely amazing! Although there was a fee, it was worth it. This is just a personal preference, but for your reference, the sauce for the eel and the flavor of the kakuni were too strong for my taste, even though I like both dishes. Everything else was delicious!

  It was an enjoyable trip.

  We stayed at Aomoriya, recommended by a friend, for the first time with three of us. First, we were greeted with smiles at the front desk, which blew away the fatigue of the trip. The hallways and rooms with character, and numerous enjoyable events. Above all, the dinner and breakfast at Noresore Dining were the best. The menu was rich with fresh ingredients, including robatayaki, scallops galore, senbei soup, steak, tempura, sushi, black curry, apple curry, scallop ramen, and more, all delicious and filling. The all-you-can-drink beer at a reasonable price was irresistible for beer lovers. When I asked the staff about the black curry, they explained that the black color comes from caramelizing sugar to add depth, and later, they kindly came back to explain again after asking the head chef. When we requested to delay the reserved shuttle bus by one, they immediately changed it for us, and when we mistakenly brought the dinner meal ticket to breakfast, they kindly said it was okay with a smile. The staff's response was very pleasing, and we had a pleasant stay. The Michinoku Show was luxurious and impressive, allowing us to enjoy Aomori's culture. A walk in the lush park and an open-air bath with a pond. The station concierge said, "It's better to check in early at Aomoriya and enjoy it fully. I want to go too." I understood what they meant. I would love to visit again. It was my oversight, but I forgot to reserve the start time for dinner and breakfast online in advance, and I couldn't get the desired time, which was disappointing. I would appreciate an early confirm reservation email.

  The meals were fulfi...

  The meals were fulfilling, enjoyable, and delicious. The Michinoku Festival was better than I imagined. Thank you for the hospitality cider. It was delicious. I was amazed at how well-maintained the vast grounds were. I had a pleasant walk.

  Is it as good as they say?

  I stayed in the East Wing. It used to be the Komaki Grand Hotel. The building is spacious as it is connected together. The dining area is located under the West Wing, so it's far from the East Wing. That's fine, but when asked if it's worth the price... not really. There is a lounge where you can drink coffee. This is a good service. You can also drink apple juice. As for the bus to the original Onsen, I'm not sure if it's due to a shortage of staff, but there is no service from around 6 PM to 9 PM. Since I had dinner at 5:30 PM, I couldn't catch the bus after 4 PM, so I walked there after the meal. There are ice machines on the second floor of each wing, but there are no containers to put ice in the East Wing. They were available in the West Wing. The Accommodation Fee might be the cheapest in the East Wing, but I think they should provide containers for ice. I went all the way to the West Wing to get a container. The food was just ordinary, I think. It feels like a slightly upscale version of Ooedo Onsen Monogatari. The 12 PM checkout is appreciated, but overall, it wasn't as expected.
