    I had a relaxing time.

    I had a wonderful time. The location, room, meals, and the staff's service after check-in were all satisfactory. However, I couldn't understand why the shuttle service departs at 12:00 when the Shinkansen from Tokyo and Osaka arrives at 12:03. On my return trip, the shuttle didn't match my train schedule either, so I used a taxi (4,700 yen) and a bus (620 yen?). Additionally, as it was my first visit and I wasn't familiar with the process, I waited at the entrance for someone to assist me. Two staff members accompanying other guests passed by silently without offering help. Left with no choice, I entered on my own initiative. Although my initial impression wasn't great due to this experience, everything else was excellent and I'm satisfied overall.

    With My Mother: Tono Chikane, Tomonoura Part 2

    This was my second stay, and as with the previous visit, I stayed in an Upper Suite room. Following the renovations in July 2024, updates such as the installation of a sofa, rearrangement of tables, changes to outlet locations, and the introduction of new chairs on the balcony brought a fresh feel to various areas. Additionally, I enjoyed relaxing in the entrance lounge that wasn’t available during my last visit. However, there were some concerns—such as requests made in advance not being fulfilled or cleaning being left incomplete—which gave me the impression that communication among staff might not be fully effective. Despite this, I deeply appreciate all the assistance provided by your staff and had a wonderful and memorable time. The meals were delicious again this time; however, it would be even better if Western-style options were available for dinner. The cherry blossoms at Ioji Temple on a hill we climbed at sunset with my mother were still buds but offered a beautiful view of Tomo Port—a memory I will cherish. I look forward to staying here again. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    Highly satisfied.

    The view from the room was breathtaking, with Benten Island of Tomonoura right in front. Soaking in the private open-air bath while listening to the sound of waves and watching the sunrise over Sensui Island on a clear day was truly exceptional. The meals were carefully prepared using local ingredients and were delicious. Dining in the room was a pleasant experience, with attentive and friendly service from the staff. However, grinding coffee beans felt a bit challenging; having simple drip-style coffee would be appreciated. Beyond the room, beautiful artworks were displayed throughout, creating a wonderful atmosphere. This is an accommodation I would love to visit again if given the chance!

    The facility and location are excellent.

    The facility is spotless, and the view is excellent. However, the food was disappointing. Since sea bream is famous here, a full course featuring it might be better. The sashimi lacked creativity in presentation and was thinly sliced and dry. The bath is only available for private use, which felt underwhelming considering the price.

    Highly satisfied.

    It exceeded my expectations. The service, facilities, meals, and scenery were all top-notch. Witnessing Sensui Island and Benten Island firsthand, I was reminded of the Korean envoys who once visited this area and praised it as "the most beautiful scenic spot in Japan." The view from the room was truly breathtaking beyond words. Soaking in the room's bath while admiring such a view is the ultimate luxury. The only disappointment was that due to overcast skies and haze, I couldn't see the distant islands clearly. Perhaps this is a sign that I must visit again. If given another opportunity, I would love to stay at this accommodation once more!

    Excellent cuisine

    My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Everything (customer service, Onsen, Facility, and meals) was excellent. The food was especially delicious; the sashimi platter alone was satisfying, but the addition of pufferfish sashimi was truly impressive. The bath could have been a bit larger, but the private bath was clean with great amenities and absolutely fantastic. The staff provided excellent assistance with transportation from the parking lot. We look forward to visiting again in a different season.

    The building and the people were wonderful.

    I stayed at the property for a birthday trip. From the stage of email exchanges before the stay, I received very polite and friendly replies, and I was already feeling satisfied before the stay. I am grateful for the attentive response to my consultation about a birthday plate that does not use fresh cream. All the staff who assisted us on the day of the stay had wonderful smiles. The view from the room was also lovely, and the comfort of the open-air bath in the guest room was very soothing. The meals were all visually and tastefully wonderful, and I had a great time. After the person next to us left, I was touched by the thoughtful gesture of raising the blinds so we could see the view. Breakfast while gazing at the Seto Inland Sea was also pleasant. I was moved by the preparation of a card gift for the commemorative photo. Thank you for the very wonderful and happy memories.

    Breathtaking Scenery and Port Town

    Although it was under the cold sky, the weather was nice, making it a wonderful two days! The view from the Stays was breathtaking, with the islands of Setouchi always beautifully seated in front of us. The rooms and Onsen, which exuded a sense of Japanese warmth, were also wonderful, creating a space where you could easily find yourself lost in thought. The staff at the dining venue were very courteous, allowing us to enjoy our meals while feeling a mysterious connection! The scenery, meals, and Onsen were all undeniably wonderful, but above all, I was moved by the culture of welcoming people nurtured by the port town. Everyone, both the people at the Property and those running businesses nearby, were kind and welcoming to tourists, making it a very comfortable stay. I sincerely thought I would like to make Tomonoura my regular Stays! Thank you very much!!

    The shuttle service,...

    The shuttle service, room guidance, meals, and all the staff provided pleasant service. The free drinks in the lobby were plentiful, and everyone was relaxing there; we used it after a walk. It was very convenient as it was just a short walk to explore Tomonoura. We made a reservation for a small gourmet Kaiseki meal, but I thought the amount was comparable to a full course, was it really a small course? If that was considered small, I think the regular course would be quite substantial... It would be nice if the reservation site had a menu list with the number of items and types so that we could confirm in advance. We had a Japanese breakfast course, and it was very delicious.

    The best sunrise

    This visit marks over ten times, and each time I'm moved by the best sunrise. One of the highlights here is relaxing in the Room's open-air bath while gazing at the sea. The meals always surprise me with the chef's wonderful creations, and I end up full with the classic sea bream chazuke. The free drink lounge at the entrance, established last year, is also fantastic! Above all, I feel at ease with the warm hospitality from the staff, from the welcome to the farewell. I also feel the kindness in the staff's thoughtful gestures at Dining Satsu. I am planning to visit again soon. I express my gratitude to all the staff.

    This is my second stay. It is a property quietly located by the calm seaside, offering a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If possible, I recommend arriving a little early to explore the surrounding area.

    Completely satisfied with everything.

    A stay to celebrate his birthday From the moment we parked the car at Ofutei, we were impressed by the hospitality. Upon arriving at Toon-Kinon, the exterior was lovely, and it felt like an escape from reality. The room was also wonderful. The open-air bath was a bit small, but the water was very comfortable. Benten Island, viewed from the balcony, was lit up at night, and the stars in the night sky were beautiful, making us forget the cold and relax. The food was impeccable. The presentation was amazing, and of course, the taste was excellent, which made him enjoy his drinks even more. But isn't the best part of Toon-Kinon the wonderful staff? The young man at dinner, the man who provided the shuttle service, the women at the front desk, everyone was very kind and provided excellent service without any discomfort. We were able to spend a relaxing time this time. It was a cleansing of the heart. Thank you very much. We would love to visit again. Best regards.

    The property met our expectations.

    Two private baths were under renovation and unavailable, but it was possible to reserve and use one. The room bath was also small and a bit disappointing, but the service and meals were very satisfying. It was a property I would like to use again.

    To Setouchi in early winter.

    I visited after cycling on the Shimanami Kaido. It takes about 40 minutes by car from Onomichi to Tomonoura, where the property is located. Since cars cannot enter the property, we parked at the sister property, Oufutei, and took a shuttle service for about 2-3 minutes. The atmosphere of the town, including the Joyato, is also rich in flavor. The entrance of the property has a traditional charm that matches the streets of Tomonoura. Beyond that, you can see Benten Island from the lobby. The room we were guided to was spacious and comfortable, having been renovated. We enjoyed the night illumination of Benten Island from the same viewpoint as the room. The room bath was just the right temperature, and by opening the threshold, we could soak in the bath while feeling Benten Island and the Seto Inland Sea. The sea breeze felt pleasant on our warmed bodies, and we watched the ships passing by while listening to the sound of the waves. Meals included seasonal and local ingredients from the Seto Inland Sea for both breakfast and dinner. The menu was satisfying with delicious fugu, oysters, and scorpion fish. It was also delightful to enjoy both mixed rice and chazuke with the tai-meshi. The hospitality was sufficient and necessary. It was impressive to see the younger generation working hard. I will visit again.

    Repeat visit. I was very satisfied again this time.

    I use it when I go to Hiroshima. I usually stayed in the spring, so this time I was looking forward to the autumn cuisine. I enjoyed a beer in the renovated lounge, and the meal was delicious with sake. There are also many types of sake. As always, the sashimi presentation is beautiful, a feast for the eyes and a delight for the palate... it's just perfect. The final sea bream rice can be made into rice balls, so the portion size was just right. The bath and the view from the room were wonderful, allowing me to experience an extraordinary time. The service was courteous and precise, making my stay comfortable. Thank you very much. I will use it again!

    It was a perfect Stays.

    I applied because it was a Property with high Reviews online. The entrance is made from a renovated old house, full of retro feel, and there was a service where you could freely use drinks, which made me happy. The meals were creative dishes that were enjoyable to look at and eat, providing a double enjoyment. The Room was spacious, with the sea right in front, allowing me to relax and relieve the fatigue of daily life. Unfortunately, the private bath was under construction and could not be used, but I was able to use the large bath at the sister store instead. It is a compact Stays with no bustling feeling. Next time, I would like to visit in early summer.

    I was satisfied with everything. Although I arrived after sunset and couldn't take a walk before dinner, I woke up early in the morning, took a walk, and as a result, breakfast was even more delicious. The drink corner, which was newly established in July, was very useful. Thank you for being flexible with the dinner and breakfast times. However, there was one point: various items were placed on the table along the wall opposite the bed, leaving no space to open personal belongings. I would appreciate it if notices and other items could be organized a bit more neatly. Other than that, I was very satisfied and would like to visit again.

    I stayed in the Uppe...

    I stayed in the Upper Suite Room, and although it felt a bit smaller than the images on the site, it was clean and comfortable. One point of disappointment was that the cushion on the chair on the terrace was dirty. The onsen in the room is available 24 hours, which was very enjoyable. However, being near the sea, I didn't expect insects, but there were bees and stink bugs in the shower room, so it's better to keep the shower room door closed while bathing in the open-air bath. The meals were served at a relaxed pace and, although standard, were luxurious and satisfying. The final dish, tai-meshi, was particularly delicious, and although they offered to make onigiri with the leftovers, I finished it all. The variety of drinks in the lounge was also delightful. The staff provided kind and attentive service, leaving a very good impression. It became a property I would like to revisit if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

    A trip with my daughter

    Unfortunately, it rained heavily only during the two days of our trip, which was disappointing in many ways, but we were very satisfied with the Hotel. As soon as we entered the Facility, there was a faint pleasant smell, and the furniture and ornaments arranged here and there showed a sense of style. Above all, we were impressed by the quality of the amenities and the outstanding view from the Room. We enjoyed a bath in the Room while looking directly at Bentenjima. (It was unfortunate that the Hotel's private bath was under construction and unavailable.) We were very satisfied with the meals, both breakfast and dinner. The taste was elegantly mild, with a strong sense of dashi flavor, allowing us to enjoy it with all five senses. The service from each of the staff members was truly pleasant. We will definitely visit again to experience the blue sea and cityscape under clear skies. Thank you very much.

    I was healed.

    I was surprised to find that the town of Tomonoura was more deserted than I expected. I was worried about the property, but it was a very nice property and I was healed. The meals were also very delicious, and I was full. They even made the leftover sea bream rice into rice balls, but I couldn't eat one and left it behind. I'm sorry. I was happy to have my birthday celebrated as well. For breakfast, we could choose between Japanese and Western styles; my husband chose Japanese, and I had Western. We were very satisfied with breakfast as well. Thank you very much. The sightseeing around the property was not much, but my husband seemed to really like the property. We will visit again.

    It was the best trip ever!

    I stayed at this Ryokan through a friend's recommendation. The hospitality, service, and meals were all excellent, making it a very satisfying stay. If I have the opportunity to visit Hiroshima again, I would love to stay at this Ryokan. Thank you very much.

    I was healed by the scenery of Tomonoura and the Hotel.

    I was finally able to make a reservation at the Hotel Tokiwa (Toonokoton) in Tomonoura, which I had wanted to visit for a long time, and I was looking forward to it. It was a hotel with hospitality beyond my expectations. We parked our private car at the sister hotel and were shuttled, and the staff were polite and kind from the start. The hotel has just been renovated, and the quality of the suite room's furnishings and amenities was high, with a wonderful view of Benten Island from the deck, and the onsen was relaxing. The dinner was beautifully presented with the dishes, and the ingredients were deliciously prepared, which we enjoyed with our favorite wine and sake as a couple. My husband was also impressed with the high cost performance, as drinks such as draft beer and other alcoholic beverages were available for free in the lobby, and the refrigerator in the room was also free. I think the staff at this hotel are well-trained. We will remember it when we look at the pair of teacups and coasters we bought as souvenirs. The retro and nostalgic streets of Tomonoura, which we visited for the first time, were also charming, and we would like to visit again.

    The meals, service, and private bath are excellent. We used the newly renovated Room this time, but I (mistakenly) thought the open-air bath attached to the Room would be larger, so I was a bit disappointed. I would like to visit again, so I would be happy if the open-air bath attached to the Room could be made larger during the renovation of other Rooms.

    The view with Benten Island right in front is very beautiful. I think it's a luxury to be able to see this spectacular view from the open-air bath in the room. Also, the staff provide service with a smile, which makes for a very pleasant experience. The meals are creatively prepared using local ingredients. The thinly sliced local conger eel was very delicious. The meals are quite voluminous, and they kindly made rice balls from the sea bream rice pot that I couldn't finish. The rice balls I ate the next day on Mt. Gozensan on Sensui Island were truly exquisite! I also appreciated the service of grinding and brewing your own coffee beans in the room. This accommodation upgraded my stay in Tomonoura, a place I had always wanted to visit. Next time, I would like to visit on a fireworks day.

    Wonderful accommodation

    I arrived about an hour early, intending to just leave my luggage and go out for a walk, but I was informed that my room was ready, so I was shown to my room. After returning from my walk, I relaxed in the newly opened lounge, enjoying draft beer and juice. For dinner, they kindly substituted ingredients I wasn't fond of with others, for which I am grateful. Every dish was very delicious. The sea bream rice that I couldn't finish was made into rice balls for a late-night snack. The staff's service was also excellent. I look forward to staying here again. Thank you very much.
