    The spirit of hospitality is exceptional.

    I stayed for one night and two days. All the staff were pleasant, and the accommodation was very comfortable. The lounge offered alcohol and soft drinks, and there was a coffee mill in the room, allowing me to enjoy freshly ground coffee. The meals were creatively prepared and delicious. During the day, the view from the room was perfect and very relaxing. It would be even better if there were more lights illuminating the sea at night. The bathroom in the room was comfortable, but I also enjoyed the luxurious private bath facilities. It was an excellent accommodation overall. Thank you very much!

    It was a great trip.

    Fukuyama was a familiar place to us, but it was our first time visiting Tomonoura, where we enjoyed the serene beauty of the Seto Inland Sea's many islands. Although it was a luxurious price for our family, the food, accommodation, and amenities were excellent. We relaxed in the bath and everyone was satisfied. This time we experienced the winter menu, but it made us want to visit again in another season.

    We enjoyed a relaxing stay.

    It felt as if time flowed differently only around Tomonoura—an almost magical sensation. The Accommodation is ideally located overlooking the calm inland waters of the Seto Inland Sea, and you can enjoy sea views from your Room all day long. The traditional, old-house-style architecture creates a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were wonderfully attentive and kind, and I was able to relax completely. Thank you very much. The meals, featuring mainly local ingredients, were truly delicious.

    Please improve a part of the Facility.

    Thank you for allowing me to stay this time. I have a request. Could you please install doors between the room, the washbasin area, and the toilet? The reason is that the sound from the toilet can be heard in the room. If there is another good solution, that would be great. Everything else was perfect. I will use your accommodation again.     It was a truly wonderful stay.

    The stay began with high expectations, thanks to prior arrangements for dietary preferences and anniversary celebrations. The location, facing the calm Seto Inland Sea with a view of Sensui Island, was exceptional. The open-air bath overlooking this scenery was truly wonderful. Having dinner served in the room allowed us to enjoy our meal at our own pace, which was very relaxing. All the staff provided warm and friendly service with smiles. It was a highly satisfying stay overall.

    Cozy Accommodation

    The highlight of this stay was undoubtedly the exceptional service provided by the staff. They responded quickly to every request, making the experience incredibly pleasant and allowing me to feel at ease throughout my stay. The stunning views and delicious meals were also memorable, especially the sea bream rice and hassaku orange juice, which were absolutely outstanding. The hot spring hopping was delightful, and even traveling between locations with the Shuttle Service felt refreshing and comfortable. The lounge was excellent as well, with Italian beer available—a delightful touch. A short walk led to a historic lantern that evoked a nostalgic atmosphere, making for an enjoyable stroll through charming surroundings. **[Concerns]** The only downside was the pillow—it didn’t suit me personally. I believe I could have rested more comfortably if different pillows were used by the Hotel. Overall, it was an extremely satisfying stay. I would love to visit again!

    A tranquil retreat in Tomonoura with stunning views and serenity

    Last year, my spouse and I stayed at this hotel and were very satisfied with the view from the hotel, the meals, and the service. This year, we were able to make a reservation during the autumn foliage season. Tomonoura is quiet with few people, and its retro townscape brings back nostalgic memories of our childhood in the Showa era, providing a soothing experience for us as seniors. The serene sea of Seto Inland Sea and island views are beautiful and have become one of our favorite places. The service by foreign staff was attentive, and the meals were not only delicious but also beautifully presented with seasonal touches. As I enjoy writing haiku as a hobby, I took home a tanzaku (poem card) with haiku written on it as a keepsake. We look forward to staying again at this accommodation in Tomonoura where time flows so peacefully.

    It was a trip to express gratitude to my parents. Since none of us usually stay in a Room with a private bath, it was worth the splurge. My parents were very pleased. Above all, the view was amazing, and it was in an excellent location. The meals were also delicious.

    The thoughtful gestures were truly appreciated.

    Stayed here on the second night of a 2-night, 3-day trip to Hiroshima. The Room was spotless and comfortable, with no unpleasant issues. Amenities were well-prepared and sufficient. The private bath had a large glass window offering an amazing view, while the Room's bath allowed for ocean views when the door was open—soaking in the tub while listening to the sound of waves was truly relaxing. The lounge had a great atmosphere, and the terrace facing the sea provided an open and serene space to unwind. As for meals, they felt appropriate for their price point but could perhaps be improved slightly. However, I was deeply touched when staff noticed I am left-handed and adjusted table settings accordingly without me mentioning it—it showed exceptional attentiveness. Overall service throughout my stay was detailed yet maintained just the right level of distance for comfort.

    Five-star hospitality

    Each dish was prepared with great care and was absolutely delicious. The Room layout was convenient, and the slope from the entrance was very helpful as I traveled with my mother who has difficulty walking. The placement of the bedroom, living room, and toilet was perfect, and the view from the family bath on the top floor was magnificent.

    I definitely want to stay at this accommodation again!

    This trip was our last getaway as a couple before the arrival of our baby. From the start, we were impressed by the thoughtful consideration given to meals, and on the day of our stay, we were deeply moved by the exceptional care provided. The private open-air bath in our room was available at any time, making it perfect for a pregnant guest as there was no need to move around. Every meal was absolutely delicious and visually delightful. Despite expecting to eat less due to my smaller appetite, I ended up finishing everything! The staff's hospitality was outstanding; everyone treated us with warmth and professionalism. Although it is slightly pricey, we felt it was worth every penny. My husband and I are already talking about returning once our child grows older. The only regret this time was that it rained, so we couldn’t enjoy the terrace. Next time, we hope to relax on the terrace as well!

    A cozy and relaxing space

    This is my 15th stay at this accommodation. I am always grateful to the staff for their warm hospitality from the welcome to the farewell. Being here, listening to the sound of the sea while gazing at Sensui Island, brings peace to my heart. The meals, crafted with care by the head chef, are truly satisfying. After dinner, soaking in the room's open-air bath while listening to the sound of waves is simply perfect.     It was a fun and enjoyable time.

    The staff welcomed us with warm smiles despite the heat, leaving a very positive impression. We enjoyed the private bath twice, once before dinner and again first thing in the morning, while taking in the beautiful view. Dinner was not only delicious but served in just the right portions—my wife finished everything and thoroughly enjoyed it.     Celebrating Husband's Birthday Month

    We had a wonderful day. Thank you for the birthday card. At dinner, we experienced something new. While we often enjoy the meals at accommodations through sight, aroma, and taste, the addition of sound was truly surprising. The meal was delightful and full of smiles.     It was a very comfortable Ryokan.

    We stayed here for my wife's retirement celebration trip, and the quality of the meals was exceptional, with outstanding hospitality that made our stay very comfortable. The view from the Room was also excellent, and the private open-air bath on the 5th floor was perfect in terms of size, ambiance, and scenery. This is a wonderful Ryokan that makes you want to visit again.

    Rainy Season

    We stayed for two nights during our trip to Tomonoura after decades. Previously, we frequently stayed at Kankokaku, but this time we chose to stay at Onfunear. Although the rain during the rainy season made sightseeing a bit disappointing, our time at the accommodation helped lift our spirits and left us satisfied. We were pleased with everything—the room, meals, and onsen. The attentive service and thoughtful hospitality were greatly appreciated. During dinner on the second night, there was an introduction of a dish designed by the head chef, which we promptly purchased at the shop as a wonderful souvenir. We are already enjoying using it at home!

    I was very satisfied.

    We were completely satisfied with everything. Especially when we mentioned during the Reservation that it was a commemorative trip for my husband's 77th birthday, you kindly prepared a dessert with candles, which deeply moved both of us.     We stayed at "Ononochino" for the second night of our Shikoku trip, a place we had wanted to visit for some time. The weather was perfect, and after checking in, we enjoyed exploring Tomonoura. We relaxed in the lounge on our way back and spent time enjoying the view from our room. The room was spacious with a stunning view of Tomonoura through the windows. The private open-air bath in the room offered both privacy and a sense of openness, which was wonderful. Meals were served in-room after a long time, and while they were creatively prepared, nothing stood out particularly except for feeling slightly disappointed with the "Okose" dish—it felt quite ordinary overall. Some parts of the facility, such as the toilet area, showed signs of aging which left an overall impression that could have been better. That said, all staff members provided excellent service and responded well to prior requests—thank you very much! P.S.: Since there is no parking lot at this accommodation, we parked at "Hotel Ofutei" nearby and used their shuttle service to reach Ononochino. However, during this transfer by shuttle driven by a female staff member dressed in traditional attire wearing geta or sandals(?), it seemed unsafe and possibly against traffic regulations. As I would like to visit Ononochino again someday, I hope this feedback is taken constructively—apologies if it came across harshly!

    Exceeded expectations.

    This was my first time staying here, and I was extremely satisfied with the food, facilities, and service. I had a very relaxing stay. Regarding the facilities, the private bath on the 5th floor was spacious with a great view—absolutely wonderful. The meals exceeded expectations; both dinner and breakfast were incredibly delicious. If I were to be critical, perhaps the dessert at dinner could be improved? It slightly overshadowed how amazing the dinner itself was, which is a bit of a shame. Nonetheless, this is an excellent accommodation. Although it’s a bit far for frequent visits, I would love to return in another season. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Accommodation for Adults to Relax Comfortably

    I stayed at this accommodation for the first time, having been curious about it for a long time. The view of Seto Inland Sea from the window, the atmosphere of the room, and the luxurious private bath (used "Kochi") were all wonderful. The meals were carefully prepared with a gentle flavor and were very delicious. While dinner was excellent, breakfast was also outstanding, and I especially enjoyed the seafood miso soup. The lounge near the entrance was relaxing as well; I could unwind while enjoying a drink. The staff's service was polite and attentive, providing helpful advice on sightseeing spots. If I had to mention minor points, there wasn’t a place to hang bathrobes in the room, and meal service felt slightly slow at times. However, overall, I had an incredibly satisfying stay. I would love to stay here again in the future—thank you very much!

    Accommodation with the Best View

    A few years ago, I stayed at this accommodation with a friend and had a memorable experience, so I decided to stay here again with my mother and husband. The view from the room was fantastic. The meals felt overly decorative compared to before; I would prefer a simpler presentation. The deep-fried Okose fish was too hard! It was almost inedible. I felt the meals could use some improvement. However, my mother was very happy, so overall it was a good experience.

    Repeat visit

    This was a revisit to my favorite accommodation, this time with my in-laws. Although it was a bit windy, the rain stopped by morning, and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The comfort and atmosphere were as relaxing as ever. My in-laws were delighted to see the sunrise directly in front of us (I missed it again). I was surprised when pigeons invaded the terrace in the morning and even entered the open-air bath. They didn’t leave easily and even left some "souvenirs" behind. However, I was slightly dissatisfied with breakfast service; it seemed like a new staff member who provided no explanation and took quite some time to serve. It seems I forgot my glasses case there too. Once again, we had a relaxing stay—thank you very much!

    The cherry blossoms are beautiful.

    For the first time in 10 years

    After visiting the grave, my sister came from Tokyo, and we came from Miyazaki and Fukuoka (with my son) to stay at the accommodation for the first time in 10 years. Blessed with good weather and delicious food, all three of us were very satisfied. The private bath was relaxing, helping us unwind completely. We would love to come again. Thank you very much!
