    Relaxed

    Both the meals and the room were very satisfying. The beer and soft serve ice cream after the bath were also delicious and enjoyable. Unfortunately, due to strong winds, I couldn't visit the open-air bath, though it seems women could access it—felt a bit unfair. Perhaps it was due to wind direction? How about a 5-star rating?

    Second Stay

    This time, during my winter trip to Hokkaido, the Onsen was relaxing. The meals were very delicious. The spa treatment was especially excellent. However, the outdoor bath in the room was a bit disappointing (please improve bathroom cleaning).

    Very satisfied.

    I made a reservation because meals can be enjoyed in a semi-private room. During the meal, you can hear the cheerful conversations of other guests but cannot see them, giving it an almost private feel. After enjoying the onsen, it's great to dine in samue without worrying about being seen by others. The food was also very delicious. From the large bath on the top floor, I could see the airport and watch planes take off and land, which was very enjoyable. At night, the night view was stunningly beautiful. The beer at the sky lounge after soaking in the onsen was absolutely perfect. I would love to stay here again!

    Room Selection

    When selecting a room, the price differed even for the same type, and when reselecting, I mistakenly chose the wrong date, resulting in a cancellation fee and ending up with the highest accommodation cost. Other than that, I was mostly satisfied.

    Hakodate View

    The weather on the day of our visit was perfect, and the view from the open-air bath was absolutely stunning. The mountains of Hakodate, the sea, and the weather are all up to chance, so you never know until you arrive, but just for the view alone, I felt it was a great decision to stay at this wonderful accommodation. Since it was a maisonette-style room, going up and down became a bit tiresome over time; however, that concern vanished every time I saw the breathtaking scenery from the bath. This time we stayed with no meals included, so if there's another opportunity in the future, I'd love to try their cuisine! One small personal note—this is entirely my own opinion and not meant as criticism—but regarding the water feature near the bar counter by reception as well as in your library and café space: while it's luxurious in design overall, I found that its multicolored lights were slightly too flashy for my taste. To be honest, they felt a bit gaudy or cheap to me. Of course, everyone has different preferences; this is just my amateur opinion! Please don't take it negatively—I simply thought that perhaps using just one color might better match your hotel's modern atmosphere and serene ambiance. Apologies if this comes across as unnecessary feedback. Other than that minor point though, everything else was perfect—I had such a calm and relaxing stay here. Thank you very much!

    Second Visit.

    Second Visit. Previously stayed in a maisonette, this time with an open-air bath and in-room stone sauna. - Room Located on the 12th floor with a great view, but the open-air bath is visible from the men's bath of another accommodation nearby, which may make female guests feel uneasy. Airplanes flying overhead can be unsettling but are also thrilling to watch. - Meals The previous dinner and breakfast were high-grade and very delicious. This time, though it was a smaller course, it was still enjoyable. However, the dining area was extremely cold to the point of shivering throughout the meal. Even with blankets and hojicha tea provided, it remained uncomfortably cold. - 13th Floor Sky Lounge The soft serve ice cream did not feel cheap at all. The coffee machine seemed to have issues as hot coffee could not be brewed; iced coffee from free drinks had to be used instead. The night view is beautiful but similar to that from guest rooms or the first floor due to proximity—again facing another accommodation nearby... - Overall Evaluation I booked this stay last minute for relaxation purposes and managed to unwind during my visit. The meals were satisfying and delicious; however, I found the entire facility quite cold overall. While there are luxurious elements including attentive staff service, there’s room for improvement in several areas. Since I enjoyed the food so much, I would consider staying again!

    This was my third stay.

    I always travel alone, but this accommodation is safe and comfortable for solo female travelers. This time, I had a dinner meeting planned and an early flight in the morning, so I couldn't request meals, but the private room provided a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The bar also has a serene ambiance, making it enjoyable even when visiting alone. As an aviation enthusiast, being able to see the airport and watch planes take off from the large public bath was absolutely amazing. Although I couldn't visit for a while due to COVID-19, it remains an excellent hotel as always. The staff are very kind and attentive. I'm looking forward to staying here again!

    I was looking forward to it.

    Stayed for a multiple night stay thinking this would be the place to stay in Hakodate. There were some issues with other guests with children, and the response from the hotel front desk was disappointing at first. However, the facility apologized the next day, so I am considering staying again. Looking forward to your hospitality next time!

    It was excellent.

    We stayed here for a trip to celebrate a 60th birthday. The suite room was very spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities. Although there were some concerns in reviews about the food, every dish was beautifully prepared kaiseki-style Japanese cuisine and absolutely delicious. We upgraded to the plan with salmon roe and sea urchin rice, which was exceptional. The dessert plate came with a celebratory message, which touched us deeply. The staff's service was excellent, and we appreciated the drink service at the bar and shop vouchers provided as part of the Diamond benefits. I had forgotten how close the airport is; right after check-in, I went to enjoy the outdoor bath in the large public bath alone when suddenly an airplane appeared overhead! I couldn't help but get excited like a child again. From our room after dinner, we could see planes landing on an illuminated runway—it felt magical and made me so happy. My husband loved it too, so we will definitely stay here again!

    The quality of meals...

    The quality of meals seems to have significantly improved compared to before the pandemic. The portions are just right, and the quality of each dish has noticeably increased. Extremely satisfied.

    The outdated condition was disappointing.

    Last time, we stayed in a maisonette suite room, but this time we chose the Japanese-modern room with a stone sauna. We were expecting something similar to the interior of the maisonette, but the Japanese-modern room felt very outdated as if it hadn't been renovated at all. The tatami mats were heavily dented and uneven, and all the facilities in the room were extremely old. Honestly, I was disappointed considering how high-priced it is despite minimal renovations. I forgot to mention this during checkout, but there was a large hair clip under the side table in the middle of the bedroom. I'm not sure how long it had been there, but since it's visible as soon as you open the bedroom door, I started to worry that cleaning might not be thorough enough. The staff provided excellent service overall; however, this only made my disappointment with the room stand out even more. I had been looking forward to revisiting your property so it’s unfortunate that I felt let down this time; however, both the Onsen and stone sauna were enjoyable!

    Perhaps resources are limited.

    The amenities and public bath were good, but the meal service was disappointing as they forgot to serve a specially ordered dish and later brought it to the room without offering a refund. The overall dining operation was slow, and despite staying for two nights, I felt it was not worth the price. The in-room bath and fan were outdated and poorly maintained.

    It was excellent!

    The room was spacious and clean, with a well-equipped private bath. The amenities impressed my wife. The large public bath on the top floor offered a breathtaking view of Hakodate city. Enjoying free beer and wine in the lounge overlooking Hakodate after a relaxing bath was an amazing experience. The staff were always smiling and provided attentive service, making our stay very comfortable. Meals made with vegetables from their own farm and fresh local ingredients were truly delicious. We opted for an upgraded sashimi platter at an additional cost, and it was so good that we couldn't bring ourselves to eat sashimi again for a while after returning to Osaka. This is definitely an accommodation we would love to visit again!

    The dinner was terrible.

    I had a good experience using the Noboribetsu location, so I thought Yunokawa Onsen would be fine as well. However, it was so disappointing that I decided to leave a review. First, the check-in staff's explanation felt unkind, which made me a bit uneasy. During dinner, as others have mentioned in their reviews, no one came to our table for over 20 minutes after we were seated. The food was also extremely delayed. When the main beef dish finally arrived, it was cold. I informed the restaurant manager about this issue, but instead of apologizing, they argued back with me. This kind of experience was shocking and completely new to me. Later on, I checked other reviews and found someone who wrote about the same issues a year ago and mentioned that they spoke with the manager who promised improvements. Yet even after a year has passed, nothing seems to have changed at all.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    Thank you for the room upgrade. Being directly under the flight path to Hakodate Airport, I was able to enjoy a spectacular view of airplanes from the Onsen view bath in the room. The relaxed and serene atmosphere of the facility was exceptional, and both dinner and breakfast made for a very satisfying stay.

    Great value for this level of quality.

    I was drawn to "SUITE Airport Runway View" because I love airplanes. Check-in starts with a relaxing moment at the café. The room is a maisonette style, which makes moving luggage and accessing the washroom slightly inconvenient, but it is spacious with a tatami area. Since the bedroom and living room are separate, you don't have to worry about disturbing someone who is sleeping. The private bath has a washing area, allowing you to relax just like at home. The large public bath is very spacious, and in the open-air observation bath, you might be lucky enough to see planes landing right above you. Unfortunately for me, they were landing from the opposite direction during my stay. The fridge offers free drinks, and the lounge is well-equipped—making this price point an excellent value for this level of service. At the shop, they sell clothing and goods from Hokkaido's TNOC brand; I used my Diamond Member voucher for great deals on purchases. While the runway view isn't extremely close-up from your room window, you can still enjoy watching planes land through its large windows—especially impressive when it's a large aircraft! Although flights aren't frequent enough to see them constantly, there’s a Hakodate Airport timetable provided in your room so that you can plan accordingly (though early or delayed arrivals may occur). This time I opted not to include meals as I wanted to relax in my room fully—but next time I'll definitely try their dining options!

    Satisfaction.

    This was our second visit. The first time was for the Hakodate Marathon, and we were so impressed that I brought my wife this time. Once again, it was amazing. The meals were absolutely delicious. The indoor bath was incredibly spacious with natural hot spring water flowing directly—simply wonderful. As for the night view from Mount Hakodate, it was breathtakingly beautiful. Thank you so much. Regarding "Fukkurinko" rice, we tried it right away and found it delicious! Compared to where we live, it's affordable and tasty—we feel so lucky to have enjoyed such great rice. Thank you also for lending us the tape—it really helped us out. We truly appreciate all your hospitality; it gave us a sense of comfort and security. We would love to stay here again!

    This is the second time.

    This was my first time staying in a maisonette! I imagined the living room would be downstairs and the bedroom upstairs... In reality, the entrance is downstairs, and you go up the stairs to reach the Room. At the back, there’s an open-air bath with a view! Spacious—but it feels like you’re fully visible from surrounding Hotels (laughs). Still, it’s a natural hot spring and very nice! The Room was very satisfying. As for meals, since this place serves kaiseki cuisine at Zuiro, dishes are served one by one—it takes time... If they’re serving dishes individually, they should serve them freshly made; otherwise, I feel it would be more luxurious to serve everything at once. Is that just me? Drinks have also become ridiculously expensive! Way too high! The Noguchi president's wine that used to cost around 3,000 yen is gone… Now it's starting from 8,000 yen or so… Even beer costs over 1,000 yen! Breakfast usually starts with salad but… maybe because vegetables are expensive? It was cut out... Huh? What happened? The Room and service were great as always—and so was the food—but still~

    The staff were very pleasant, and I had a comfortable stay. The atmosphere was that of a calm and sophisticated hotel, with a lovely lobby and room. Thoughtful details could be felt throughout the accommodation and in the room. The dumplings were also very delicious. Next time, I would like to stay with meals included.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    I previously stayed at Boro NOBORIBETSU and loved how relaxing the accommodation was from check-in to check-out, so this time I decided to try Hakodate. As expected, I had a very relaxing stay and felt extremely satisfied. I had inquired about live squid beforehand, but perhaps it wasn’t available as there was no follow-up during my stay, which made me wonder if my inquiry had been forgotten—this was a bit disappointing. However, both dinner and breakfast were delicious and satisfying. Hakodate is easy to visit, and the hotel is conveniently located near the airport with great access, so I would like to stay again.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    I was very much looking forward to staying at this popular accommodation. Public Bath: While some reviews mentioned the water being lukewarm, I found the temperature perfect for a long, relaxing soak. It allowed me to enjoy a peaceful and leisurely time. Meals: I was initially worried about the seafood-heavy menu as I'm not fond of seafood, but my concerns were completely unnecessary. Everything was delicious. It was my first time enjoying seafood so much. Room: My elementary school-aged daughter was thrilled with the maisonette-style room. The onsen in our room provided a wonderful family bonding experience. One small issue—at 5:30 AM, the TV in front of the sofa suddenly turned on by itself. Since we never used it during our stay, it might be due to settings left by previous guests. Please check this for future stays. This is definitely a hotel I would love to visit again.     Couple of Sainokuni

    The long-awaited NOGUCHI Hotel. As expected, it was amazing! If I may say, improvements could be made in the front desk hospitality, raising the position of the room safe, ensuring privacy when using the bath as it is visible from the previous hotel, and enhancing communication from staff during meals.

    A bit disappointing

    I enjoyed the stylish room and hospitality, making this my third stay. I usually prefer the maisonette-style accommodation with the entrance on the lower floor and the room on the upper floor, but this time it was reversed. After check-in, I noticed there was no hand wash in the room, and unfortunately, the refrigerator was not powered on. However, I feel that the quality of cuisine improves with every stay. I truly appreciate the efforts of everyone involved, including the head chef. Therefore, I look forward to staying again next time with great expectations!

    The Best Accommodation

    Thank you for accommodating our various requests. We were able to have a wonderful birthday celebration. The sushi cake is especially recommended. We couldn't see the airplanes from the open-air bath, so we plan to come back for another try. The Room was spacious, and we were able to relax comfortably.

    Had a great holiday.

    It was our first family trip with two children, and we were a bit anxious as the kids are still young. However, the staff's thoughtful care for the children during meals made us feel at ease. The room and bath were enjoyable for the kids throughout, allowing us to have a wonderful family holiday. All the staff provided excellent service, and we would love to stay here again when visiting Hakodate.

    Couple's Getaway

    I travel several times a year, referring to reviews on IKYU.com. I usually visit highly-rated accommodations and rarely write reviews, but this accommodation was exceptional. The meals, even the small gourmet course, were more than sufficient in quantity and truly delicious as advertised. The room design, bath facilities, and staff service were all outstanding. Incidentally, my wife was already asking on the flight back when we could visit again.

    The age of the accommodation cannot be denied, but

    The staff were very pleasant, the food was delicious. The alcohol was expensive. The entire accommodation had a mysterious pomade smell, which might be unpleasant for some. The bath was spacious and comfortably lukewarm, allowing for a relaxing soak, and it was great to use towels without any restrictions. If the pomade smell is improved, this is an accommodation I would love to visit again.
