    Enjoy a delightful bath experience.

    I stayed in a room on the third floor with four friends. The room was spacious, had a sunken kotatsu, and we were able to relax comfortably. There were various open-air baths, and we could enjoy them one by one without worrying about others. I think this accommodation is perfect for those who love Onsen. It would be even more convenient if baskets or bags were provided for moving to the baths. The meals were carefully prepared and delicious, and all the staff members were kind, making it a wonderful trip. Thank you very much!

    All the dishes were delicious.

    At other accommodations, even if the overall food is delicious, there’s usually at least one dish that’s just okay. However, at Kamon, both dinner and breakfast were absolutely exceptional. The tamagoyaki from the selectable egg dishes at breakfast was especially delicious. It seems that each room has a dedicated attendant who takes care of everything from showing you to your room to serving dinner and breakfast, as well as seeing you off. This made us feel very comfortable. Our attendant (a short-haired woman) was incredibly friendly and attentive, which we greatly appreciated. It was a family trip with my elderly parents, and it became a truly wonderful memory for us all.

    It was a wonderful trip for ladies.

    We stayed here for our annual "Madame Trip" with four friends from our student days. The high review ratings raised our expectations, and the stay lived up to them. The meals were a bit too much in volume for us madames, but they were so delicious that we almost finished everything. Before our stay, the staff kindly inquired about allergies and provided attentive service. The large public bath was enjoyable with several open-air baths available. However, one disappointment was that the showers in the public bath could not be used continuously. It seems to be a system adopted by sports clubs where hot water stops after a few seconds, making hair washing quite challenging. While it may be difficult to change due to eco-friendly considerations, improving this would make it perfect. Lastly, we are grateful for the warm service provided by all staff members. Thank you for making our Madame Trip very comfortable!

    The women's Onsen of...

    The women's Onsen offers various types of baths, allowing guests to enjoy their time without concern even with others present. For men, there were often private-like time slots, providing a quiet and relaxing bathing experience. The water quickly warmed the body, and the warmth lasted long after bathing, giving a satisfying sense of being in an Onsen. Meals were as delicious as their reputation suggested, with both breakfast and dinner being highly satisfying. The food was not only tasty but also plentiful—truly excellent. The room was clean, the bath was great, and the meals were delicious; however, the yukata provided in the room was surprisingly worn out to an unusual degree. It felt odd considering how good everything else was at this Ryokan. That said, I considered it a minor issue given how satisfied I was overall and would still rate my stay as perfect. I would definitely love to visit this Ryokan again!

    Satisfied with the cuisine and Onsen

    This was my first time staying here. I remembered this long-established Ryokan from a previous visit to Sounji Temple and decided to stay this time. The Ryokan has been well-maintained, with a clean and modern feel while preserving its traditional charm, such as the impressive wooden beams. The food was exceptional, and my companions all praised it as delicious and outstanding. The Onsen facilities, including the cave bath, tub bath, waterfall shower, and lying-down bath, were very satisfying. The Room felt slightly small but might be expected given the price range. Drinks seemed a bit expensive; it would be appreciated if either the in-room refrigerator items were complimentary or drink prices at the dining area were adjusted slightly lower for those who enjoy alcohol. Additionally, it might be better to avoid explaining dishes when guests are engaged in lively conversations during meals.

    Upon arrival at the ...

    Upon arrival at the accommodation, there was no parking attendant, so I moved the pole myself. A staff member then appeared and asked for my reservation name, but responded in silence after I provided it. After parking the car and entering, I filled out my name and address, selected a yukata, and only realized at the end that drinks were missing—they were brought over in a rush. I reserved a private open-air bath. Although I was told to come to the front desk 10 minutes prior to my reservation time, I ended up waiting 10 minutes there. Since the open-air bath is located a bit far from the front desk, this delay reduced our time to just 45 minutes. It felt unprepared overall. The floor of the open-air bath was covered with fallen leaves and seemed not properly cleaned. On a positive note, our dining attendant was excellent—the food was delicious as well. Although I've visited this accommodation several times before, this time had by far the poorest service experience. It was very disappointing.

    Fallen leaves in the large public bath...

    The room, service, and meals were all satisfactory. The meals, in particular, were exceptional. However, if I may point out one issue, there were quite a lot of fallen leaves floating in the open-air bath of the large public bathhouse, which made it unappealing to enter. While the baths are thoughtfully designed, this was a bit disappointing.

    We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and truly appreciated the thoughtful hospitality of the staff. (The surprise touched us deeply.)     We enjoyed a wonderful family trip.

    This was my first time staying here, and the quality exceeded my expectations. The Room, open-air bath, and meals were all perfect. What stood out the most was the exceptional hospitality of everyone at the Ryokan. Every staff member we met provided heartwarming service, which deeply moved me. My elderly mother who accompanied me was also very pleased. I look forward to visiting again in the near future.

    Perfect hospitality, perfect cuisine, perfect baths.

    We stayed here for our wedding anniversary! The service was outstanding and exceeded our expectations! We were amazed by the size of the simmered golden eye snapper, and the quality of the other kaiseki dishes delighted us as a couple. It truly became a perfect anniversary! The Room's bath was also clean and flawless! We will definitely come again!

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. From the person who picked us up at the station, to those who welcomed us at the accommodation, guided us to our room, and assisted during meals—everyone was truly wonderful and kind. This might be the first time I’ve experienced such heartwarming service at an accommodation. The baths, including a variety of open-air Onsen options, were delightful. The temperature of the Onsen was just right, and there were even herbal teas available after bathing. The meals were absolutely delicious as well. When we were shown to our room, we were kindly taught how to tie a yukata sash properly. Additionally, when we arrived slightly early for our meal reservation at the restaurant, they graciously seated us as soon as preparations were ready. Everyone was so considerate and everything about our stay was exceptional. I would love to bring my elderly parents here someday; however, one concern is that there is a slight slope in the hallway near the elevator on the 4th floor where I slipped a little. It would be great if measures could be taken to prevent slipping or falling in that area. Also, since I’d like to enjoy multiple visits to the Onsen during my stay, it would be helpful if more towels (especially small ones for women’s hair) could be provided. I will definitely visit again! Thank you so much for allowing me such a relaxing experience both physically and mentally!

    It was good, but...

    The accommodation was very clean after the renovation. Over the past few years, I have stayed at hotels in Hakone, and while my previous stay was pleasant, I had been disappointed recently. However, this time it was great. The TV was very large. The welcome fruits were well-received by my family and left a very good impression. For the drink menu, it would be better if wine had its own separate section. It was a bit confusing to find fruit liqueurs listed after the wine list. The neighboring room was extremely noisy with constant loud movement sounds that were quite disturbing multiple times.

    Highly hospitable

    I stayed with the Parent-Child Bonding Plan. Although the check-in process took a bit of time, I felt completely detached from reality with the choice of gender-specific toiletry sets in pouches and the option for women to select their yukata. There were various Onsen options, so I was able to enjoy one before dinner. The meals exceeded expectations and were more than satisfying (perhaps even too much for elderly couples). My parents were also impressed by the attention to detail in the decorations. This is an accommodation that pays great attention to every detail. My parents were truly satisfied, and I am grateful for this wonderful experience.

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate a retirement with friends. The room, bath, and meals were all exceptional, making it hard to check out. The dining venue was decorated for the celebration, and we were even served festive red rice, which deeply moved everyone. The male staff member who assisted us provided excellent service with great care. We look forward to visiting again in a different season.     The accommodation cost approximately 150,000 yen. We enjoyed the meals and the private open-air bath in the room, and the breakfast was very delicious. However, as it is a luxury ryokan, I felt that improvements could be made regarding some aspects: the shuttle service staff's suit pants were quite wrinkled, the onsen had a strong disinfectant smell, and the dinner meat did not match what was described on the menu. Since shuttle service staff represent the ryokan's image, paying more attention to their appearance would make it even better.

    Enjoy an exquisite time in the finest Room.

    I stayed in the "Rokka 'Go'" Room at Kamon. The room was neither too spacious nor too cramped, offering just the right size for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The Onsen facilities were delightful, featuring various baths such as the large communal tub, tsubo-yu (pot bath), and utase-yu (waterfall bath), each with its own unique charm, including a private bath in the room—all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. From the Shuttle Service to hospitality and meals served in both morning and evening, every detail was meticulously attended to, allowing me to enjoy an exceptional time along with delicious cuisine. However, one issue I encountered was with the air conditioning system. Despite it being March, it was unusually warm that day. Unfortunately, only heating or ventilation modes were available for selection in the room's air conditioning system. This made it uncomfortably hot during nighttime and early morning hours inside the room. Ventilation through windows alone wasn’t sufficient; having access to cooling would have been greatly appreciated. I would love to stay here again if given another opportunity. Thank you very much!

    Hospitality...

    The service was not quite up to the price. There were many Reviews praising the excellent service, but since it wasn't a perfect 5, I will provide some constructive feedback for future guests. During dinner, when we asked whether the white wine on the list was dry or sweet, even after checking in the back, they couldn't provide an answer. We had to look it up online ourselves. This is not a casual pub; basic knowledge like this should be expected. The attendant was friendly and cheerful, which we appreciated. However, given how highly rated this place is in Reviews, we were hoping to experience more top-notch hospitality. At checkout time, we missed out on the drink service by just a few minutes. It left us questioning their sense of hospitality at such a crucial final moment. The same staff member who greeted us upon arrival and handled our payment seemed rather curt in their demeanor. That said, both the room and meals were absolutely satisfying! Thank you for making special arrangements for our anniversary!

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Although it was described as renovated last year, the room was so beautiful that it felt more like a newly built space, and the private bath in the room was exceptional. The interior design and small amenities throughout the facility were very well thought out and absolutely lovely. As mentioned in reviews, every dish served was delicious, with warm dishes provided at just the right temperature. We enjoyed a leisurely two-hour meal. Additionally, the staff's hospitality at this accommodation was outstanding. Their attentiveness and care made us feel truly comfortable, and we would love to stay here again. It was truly an amazing accommodation, and we are glad we chose it for this special occasion. We stayed under an anniversary plan and received a commemorative gift, which we will cherish greatly—thank you so much! If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be that only half of the outdoor bath's bamboo blinds were installed in our room. Although facing a bamboo grove side, passing cars occasionally caught my attention, making me hesitant about when to use the bath comfortably. If possible to adjust freely up or downwards blinds across all sides might enhance privacy further!

    We stayed for one night over the weekend and enjoyed dinner and breakfast. The room had an open-air bath. Our family of four, including university and high school children, used the property. I had stayed here before with a friend, so this was my second time, but the newly renovated room was even more beautiful and comfortable than before. The sashimi and steak for dinner were excellent, and for breakfast, we could choose our fish; my husband and I had kinmedai (red sea bream). The portion was so satisfying that we didn't need lunch after such a fulfilling breakfast. The large public bath was clean, we enjoyed the open-air bath as well as the one in our room! As before, women could choose their yukata (casual kimono) patterns freely; my daughter was delighted with this option which made me happy too. There were pajamas separate from yukatas for sleeping comfortably even in midwinter (the room's air conditioning is well controlled). This time we stayed after visiting Lake Ashi(Ashino-ko), but next time I'd like to spend more time enjoying at Ryokan itself. Thank you very much! We would love to visit again.

    Celebration of Mother's 90th Birthday

    We stayed at the property to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. We received congratulatory words from all the staff, and when the surprise cake we requested was brought out, she was so happy she was moved to tears. The response from all the staff was excellent, and the food was elaborate and very delicious. We would love to use the property again.

    Large bath cleaning time

    The onsen, hospitality, and service were excellent, allowing us to have a pleasant stay. The meals were also delicious. What was disappointing was the cleaning time of the bath. I wanted to enter the onsen after breakfast before departure, but it was unavailable due to cleaning from 09:00 to 10:30. Although I don't usually have the habit of taking a morning bath, I believe experiencing something out of the ordinary is one of the pleasures of an onsen property. I understand there may be a shortage of staff, but I hope to enjoy the onsen before checking out.

    Delicious Meals

    Thank you for your stay with us. ① Meals The portion size was just right, and the dashi broth made for very delicious Japanese cuisine. The sake tasting, whether local or premium, paired well with the dishes and made for an enjoyable experience. ② Staff The staff member who guided us to our room and assisted before and after meals was very kind to our 5-year-old child, making it a pleasant experience. ③ Facility We stayed in a renovated third-floor room (2024?), but there were periodic mechanical noises from the ceiling area of the hotel that were loud enough to prevent us from sleeping through the night. I was woken up by the noise at 3 AM, but my wife mentioned it had started even earlier for her, which caused significant discomfort. ④ Onsen There were various types of baths available; my son especially enjoyed the cave-style bath. Although there is a small notice in the changing area stating that water is added due to high temperatures at its source, we had hoped for more authentic onsen water quality in the large communal bath. This aspect was disappointing. ⑤ Additional Note Since it was 3 AM when we experienced this issue, we hesitated to contact reception about it. It would have been much better without those ceiling noises...

    Toilet paper holder, razor

    The design is too stylish, making it difficult to tear the paper. The razor is hard to use; it would be better if there was shaving foam. Being on the 5th floor, it has a sense of openness and a great view, so my wife said she would like to visit again except in winter. The food is extremely delicious.

    I was healed.

    I had been interested in this property for a while. The room was wonderful and very relaxing. The guest room toilet had floral designs here and there, which were very cute and impressive. The open-air bath in the guest room was slightly small, but it was pleasant to soak in. Both the interior and the rooms were filled with a sense of cleanliness, and a nice fragrance was in the air. I was particularly impressed that the smoking area was not very smoky and was rather enveloped in a pleasant scent. The cleaning was done frequently, and it was the most comfortable smoking area I have ever experienced. The large public bath had various types of baths to enjoy. It would have been perfect if the dressing room had hairbrushes and towels provided. I would like to visit again in a different season.
