We had a relaxing stay.

The weather didn’t cooperate, but that actually allowed us to relax at the Accommodation. Since we splurged on a nice place for a birthday celebration, it worked out well in its own way. The Onsen, the food, the Room, and the service… I think everything was good overall, but considering it’s rated as “the most prestigious in Ogoto Onsen (by AI),” each aspect felt just a little lacking. The Onsen had great water quality, was kept at a comfortable temperature, and was clean, but the amenities could have been better. I appreciated having towels available in the public bath, of course, but I also would have liked hair ties and cold tea. As for the food, just as rumored, both the selection and taste—including the celebratory red rice—were excellent, but I found the wasabi flavor distracting. The Room was clean with a nice view, but as mentioned in several Reviews, there was quite a strong odor from the toilet plumbing. Even having deodorizer or incense would probably help. The washbasin area is spacious and easy to use; however, the downlight from behind isn’t suitable for applying makeup—I’d prefer lighting around the mirror. The table in the tatami room seemed designed more for looks than usability: it was small and awkward to use, and there wasn’t enough legroom underneath. That made it tough for middle-aged or older guests with knee or back issues. That said, the private Onsen bath in our Room was amazing—we were very satisfied with that. Regarding service: because Reviews were so positive, maybe my expectations were too high; for an upscale Ryokan it felt fairly standard. Even though there’s an in-room bath as well as public baths، only one yukata (plus another in a different size) for men felt disappointing. I wish there had been something additional like samue loungewear or a bathrobe. We arrived soaked after getting caught in heavy rain and our mood had really dropped; if staff had immediately offered towels to dry our hair and luggage or newspaper to put inside wet shoes at the entrance، that alone would have lifted our spirits a bit more.

Although the weather was unfortunately not ideal, we sincerely appreciate that you were able to relax inside the property and that you shared your honest and thoughtful feedback regarding the Onsen, cuisine, Room, and service. Regarding the Onsen, we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the water quality and temperature control, and we were especially pleased to receive your comment of “The best!” about the in-room Onsen. Meanwhile, we will take your valuable suggestions regarding amenities such as hair ties and beverages into consideration as we work to improve our services. We are also happy to know you were satisfied with the meals, including the celebratory red rice. At the same time, we apologize that the wasabi did not meet your expectations. We will share your comments with our head chef and use them as a reference going forward. In addition, while we are grateful for your compliments on the view and cleanliness of your Room, we sincerely apologize for any discomfort or inconvenience caused by issues such as odor in the restroom, lighting, and table usability. Some aspects may be difficult to change immediately due to structural limitations; however, we will continue exploring improvements—including deodorizing measures—to ensure a more comfortable stay. We also take seriously that our service did not fully meet your expectations. Your suggestions regarding yukata and loungewear as well as considerations when welcoming guests on rainy days were extremely helpful from a guest’s perspective. In particular, we will cherish your ideas on how to make arrivals more pleasant even in rainy weather as important hints for future service improvements. Thank you again not only for your kind words but also for sharing so many valuable opinions. We will continue making steady improvements one by one in order to become an Accommodation that satisfies all guests even more.
