I had been hoping to return since Hanare 88 was built, and this was my third stay. When I made the Reservation, they promptly accommodated my requests, which I truly appreciated. I was welcomed with a sparkling wine welcome drink and then shown to my Room. Since the corridor is not outdoors, it wasn’t affected by the weather, and the atmosphere was wonderful. The Room had a simple, clean design and felt very comfortable. During turndown service, the towels were replaced as well, so I could relax in comfort. There were pajamas, bathrobes, samue loungewear, and yukata provided, along with plenty of hangers. There were also two types of mirrors, which made it easy to do my makeup in natural light. The amenities were carefully selected and reassuring. The open-air bath surrounded by nature was incredibly relaxing, and the nighttime lighting was outstanding—I ended up soaking for a long time. The fairy-tale-inspired menu items were all so charming that it almost felt like a shame to eat them. The turnip potage at dinner with sea urchin was sweet and delicious—such a gentle, comforting flavor. The filet meat was also tender with rich flavor. The Oma tuna sashimi tasted as if it might have been frozen; that part was a little disappointing. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and gentle on the body; the portion size was just right, and the free-range white omelet-style egg dish was especially delicious. As expected from an eco-certified Accommodation, my stomach felt great throughout my stay. All of the staff greeted me with smiles as well—my time at Komeya remains a wonderful memory.
