I wanted to stay soaking in the Room's bath forever.

The day we stayed at Ashikari was blessed with perfect weather, and we spent the entire day soaking in the open-air bath in our room. Recently, we've been traveling to the Izu area quite often, and upon discovering Ashikari, we immediately made a reservation through IKYU. We stayed in a room called "Katsuragi," which offers a stunning view of Hakone's mountains right in front of you. This year, it seems that the cherry blossoms bloomed later than usual, so unfortunately, there were no blossoms visible from our room. However, the view through the large glass windows was absolutely breathtaking. During our stay, except for mealtimes, we spent most of our time relaxing in the room and enjoying baths to our heart's content. Thanks to IKYU Diamond Member benefits, we were able to enjoy late check-out as well and had a rare opportunity to spend quality time together as a couple. Being originally from Kanagawa Prefecture ourselves, we rarely travel within Kanagawa; however, we never knew there was such a quiet and relaxing accommodation nearby until now! If given another chance someday, we'd love to stay here again. The staff treated us with kindness and warm hospitality throughout our stay—it truly left us feeling touched by their care.
