    I’m happy they provide separate pajama pieces!

    I think it’s a very good standard for a Business Hotel. What I especially like about the Monterey group is the two-piece pajamas. They come in both women’s and men’s sizes. When a Hotel provides only one-piece loungewear, I bring my own pajamas, but when staying here, it’s nice not to have to pack them. The welcome drinks at the front desk are also much appreciated.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    Due to the typhoon, I made a last-minute Reservation the day before. The Hotel was quite crowded, but once I entered the Room, it had a calm atmosphere and I could relax. The bathtub was deep enough to soak in comfortably, and I slept soundly at night. It was a comfortable stay—thank you very much.

    The woman’s smile at check-in was wonderful and left a strong impression. I found the Room mirror very convenient, especially for women. Among Hotels in this price range, Monterey is the easiest to use. A good mirror really matters!

    It was wonderful.

    The staff were very helpful, the amenities were well stocked, and even the single room felt spacious and comfortable. Above all, the location is excellent!

    Budokan Live

    The location was convenient, just a 20-minute walk to Budokan. The breakfast buffet also offered a wide variety of options, and we were very satisfied.

    There were a few min...

    There were a few minor issues, but they actually increased my positive impression of the Hotel. The staff handled everything very politely, and I was even impressed—if something was removed and accidentally not put back, that’s proof it gets replaced each time! In this season especially, I really appreciate being offered a welcome drink at check-in and being provided with a chilled hand towel. Whenever there’s a concert at Tokyo Dome, I stay here every time as long as I can make a Reservation, and I would definitely like to continue using this Hotel in the future.

    The location is the only good thing.

    The front desk area is noisy, with many foreign guests carrying large luggage. The guest room itself was quiet, and the layout was convenient and easy to use. There was black mold around the bathtub overflow fitting, with hair caught in it, so I gave up on taking a bath and used only the shower. During my Multiple Night Stay, housekeeping entered while I was out, but the black mold and hair were still there afterward. I don’t expect a refund, but I was charged 200 yen for Tokyo’s Accommodation Tax when it should have been 100 yen. It’s only a 100-yen difference for me, but if extra charges are being collected from many guests, it could add up to a significant amount, so I’m noting it here.

    I have stayed here many times over the past few years. Recently, it seems to be popular with international visitors, but the service and cleanliness are consistently excellent, and I can always relax here—thank you. Although it can’t be helped given the Room size, the bathroom is a bit small, so I rated it 4 stars. However, it is very clean, and I appreciate your efforts to improve services, such as installing a Mirable showerhead. I don’t think there are any issues at all. Maintaining this level of quality must be challenging, but I would be very grateful if you could continue to keep things just as they are.

    The same comfort as always…

    Step off the metro and you’re right in front of Hotel Monterey Hanzomon—an unbeatable location and incredibly convenient. I also like that it attracts many Western guests. The hotel is neat and well kept, with complimentary drinks available, which feels very thoughtful. The hospitality at this price is impressive. When rates are low, it can be under ¥10,000. It’s right behind the British Embassy, and close to the Imperial Palace and the Chidorigafuchi Greenway—perfect for a pleasant walk. It has long been my favorite regular Hotel.

    Very quiet.

    Right in front of Hanzomon Subway Station. Although there seemed to be quite a lot of guests staying, it was very quiet and I slept well.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    Just a 1-minute walk from the station! With a convenience store and a coffee shop nearby, it’s very convenient. The extra bed mattress was also comfortable to sleep on. The welcome drink tea and two bottles of mineral water per person were a nice touch.

    We stayed for one night as a couple.

    I booked using the 60-day early-bird plan. The actual accommodation fee was higher than the price shown at the time of booking. Also, the Room images shown when I booked were different from the actual Room, and it was smaller. I believe improvements are needed. Other than that, I am satisfied.

    Great value for money

    While the Facility is somewhat dated, it is well located and spacious, with clean bathrooms, good amenities, separate top-and-bottom nightwear, a smart TV, and a Nanoe hair dryer—overall excellent value for money. I will stay here again when I visit Tokyo.

    I stayed in a single, and since it’s right in the middle of the city center, I guess it can’t be helped. The Room was small. When I entered the Room and tried to use the toilet, it was locked and the door wouldn’t open, so I called the front desk. They opened it for 10 yen, but their response felt like this happens from time to time. The bedding was fluffy and comfortable. I chose not to have breakfast, so I went to the café next door and enjoyed a quiet, pleasant breakfast, then took a walk around the Imperial Palace. The location was great, and I appreciated the 11:00 check-out.

    Very convenient

    I stayed here because I had plans around Kudanshita and Ochanomizu. It was convenient to get around quickly by subway, and it’s also close to Tokyo Station. I added breakfast at the last minute, and I was very satisfied—the buffet had a great variety of options. I’ve stayed at Hotel Monterey properties in Kansai several times, and their breakfast buffets are always delicious, so I was looking forward to the one in Hanzomon as well—and it met my expectations. I’d definitely like to stay here again when I visit Tokyo!

    Overall satisfied

    I chose and made a Reservation after reading Reviews for properties in an area close to the live venue. The Room wasn’t very large for two people, but it was laid out efficiently and felt compact and well organized. When I tried to add water to the air purifier and touched the power outlet, I found a lot of hair and dust behind it. Since the windows don’t seem to open, I imagine cleaning is difficult for the staff, but this was the only disappointing point. The front desk service was excellent. I booked with breakfast, and there were plenty of Japanese and Western options, all delicious. The omelet was made fresh on the spot, which was very satisfying. There were also many European guests who seemed to be enjoying their meals. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Your regular accommodation in Tokyo

    I always stay here. The front desk staff are very friendly and pleasant. Also, I think the Room cleaning is of a very high standard. This is a Hotel I recommend.

    Recommended as your go-to Accommodation

    Conveniently located just steps from Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Station, with excellent access to transportation. This is my regular Accommodation in Tokyo these days. There are convenience stores, supermarkets, and restaurants nearby, so the location is great. The Room is spacious, and the amenities are well stocked, including a coffee maker. A highly recommended Hotel.

    Convenient location ...

    Convenient location for sightseeing anywhere. There is a supermarket, drugstore, and convenience store within walking distance. A morning walk around the Imperial Palace is refreshing. With the Imperial Guard Police stationed nearby, the area feels safe. However, one issue: there was an unpleasant odor from the Room’s drainage in the bathroom area, which was uncomfortable. I hope this will be improved.

    Spacious even for a single room, and very satisfying.

    The location is very convenient, as it is right in front of the station exit. The Room was spacious enough, and the bathroom was also sufficient. The meals were neither particularly good nor bad. We had planned to relax until checkout, but there was an issue where housekeeping suddenly opened the Room door; however, we received a polite apology from the front desk as well.

    My son stayed here. He usually works remotely in the Kansai area, and a few times a year he goes to the office in Shibuya. It was conveniently close to his workplace, which was very helpful, and he said the Hotel was clean and comfortable. He said he would like to stay again.

    Just a short walk from Hanzomon Station Exit 5. There is also a convenience store nearby, so you can shop even if you get back late. Many international travelers stay here, but it feels calm and not noisy. The Room is clean, and I was not bothered by noise from outside. Perhaps because I am especially sensitive to smells, I noticed an odor on the sheets and in the bathroom. I stayed for three nights this time and was able to relax and take my time.

    We had a comfortable stay.

    This was my second stay. Last time I stayed in a single Room, but this time it was a twin. The twin Room on the second floor had a view from the window that felt like an inner courtyard, and the entrance area of the Room was spacious, so it didn’t feel cramped. It was clean and a very nice Room. I did quite a lot of walking while sightseeing, so a Hotel close to the station is truly the best. They also stored my luggage the next day, which let me sightsee hands-free, and picking it up before leaving was easy and convenient—something you can only appreciate with a station-close location. Overall I was satisfied except for some noise from other Rooms, creaking from the bed, and that the pillow didn’t suit me. I would like to stay again.
