Sakurin-kan Comfort Twin Room stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. The view of Takayama city over the parking lot and the JR Takayama Station platform was visible. Entering the restaurant in room wear (samue) is allowed. For dinner, we chose Chinese cuisine, which seemed Cantonese-style. Since the hotel is part of the Keio Group, I expected it to be similar to Keio Plaza Hotel's Nan-en Chinese cuisine, but it was entirely different—unique and incredibly delicious. Breakfast was a buffet with local specialties like Mitarashi Dango and Hoba Miso, giving a strong regional feel. I was surprised by how many foreign guests were there! The Onsen large bath is located on the 1st floor and basement of the main building; this time, we used the 1st floor bath. It’s an alkaline spring with a smooth texture that gives a full Onsen experience. The open-air bath was also spacious and satisfying. Parking is wide and convenient; if you park near FAV Hotel, it blocks morning sunlight—so in midsummer, parking further back where it's open might be better! We usually stay at Gero Onsen or Okuhida Onsen but enjoyed this city hotel-like experience with Onsen and great food in town—will definitely visit again!
