    Special Floor "Riraku"

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. The room was ocean-view, spacious, and had a comfortable sofa, which we were very satisfied with. However, the dinner at Kamado Dining Bar Awaji, which we were looking forward to, was quite disappointing. The service felt like being at a family restaurant. Unfortunately, even the simmered dish tasted like home cooking. On the other hand, breakfast was very delicious and satisfying.

    We have stayed at Yumekaiyu Awaji, including New Awaji, about 7-8 times. Unfortunately, this time was disappointing. Both dinner and breakfast were not up to the standard we experienced before. Regrettably, next time...

    Well-maintained Facility

    Multiple facilities are connected and well-maintained. The bath, in particular, was spacious and very relaxing. The meals were simple yet pleasant, offering a calm atmosphere. Breakfast was served in a private room, allowing for a leisurely experience.

    Staying at the accommodation after a long time

    This is my fourth stay, but the first time traveling alone. The view from the Room was nothing special, but the compact and well-designed clean Room was nice. Considering the reasonable price, it’s understandable. However, I appreciated having breakfast in a private room with an ocean view where I could relax. I was a bit surprised to see my name prominently displayed at the venue; as an individual guest, I would prefer it to be limited to just my Room number.

    It was a birthday gift.

    I invited my brother for his birthday celebration. I had already informed the staff during the Reservation. At checkout, I called to request that the amount not be disclosed to him as it would ruin the surprise. However, before I could finish explaining, the call was abruptly ended, which was quite shocking. It’s even more surprising to think that if I hadn’t called, the full amount would have been revealed. That said, my brother seemed satisfied with the Onsen and meals, so that was a relief.

    A new and comfortable Facility

    The room and dining area felt new and clean. I used the relaxation facilities, and the relaxation room was comfortable. However, the ladies' room was small, and the available drinks were limited. The bath had a standard design but was new and pleasant. The meals featured dishes with plenty of pike conger and onions, which were very delicious. However, instead of having both hot pot and grilled dishes on a ceramic plate, I would have preferred 1-2 more refined kaiseki-style dishes. Overall, it was the best accommodation I've stayed at recently.

    Detached Villa

    At first, I was a bit anxious upon arrival as I hadn't realized during the Reservation that the main building and our location were separate. However, the staff's response was excellent, and once inside, the interior was modern with stunning views. Since we have small children, we chose a separated Room. The staff kindly adjusted the bed placement immediately upon our arrival to accommodate us. We only used the private bath in our Room due to having children, but adjusting the water temperature for them was quick and easy without any issues. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Meals were served at the main building which required a short car ride; however, transportation was readily available nearby and operated frequently without inconvenience. It was a wonderful stay!

    A Long-Established Inn on Awaji Island

    I stayed at this accommodation for a reasonable price, but my impression was that there are many better accommodations available for the same cost. I don't feel like staying here again. There were some dishes I couldn't eat, and although I informed them of my situation, nothing was changed. Additionally, there seemed to be issues with communication among the staff in other areas as well, which was disappointing. However, the breakfast was delicious.

    The meal portions are a bit small.

    I have been using the Hotel, including its group hotels, once or twice a year. Previously, as my younger child was in daycare, we could choose a no-meal option. However, now that they are in elementary school, we had to opt for the meal-included course for everyone. While my younger child used to eat some of the older child's portion before, this is no longer possible. The portions provided were far too large for the children to finish on their own, leaving us parents to eat what was left over—but even that has its limits. Despite being served delicious food, the quantity was overwhelming and left us feeling uncomfortably full. At check-in, I mentioned that my children do not eat much and requested smaller portions; however, it did not seem like this request was accommodated. Additionally, I felt that the Room seemed slightly outdated compared to previous visits and could not say I was completely satisfied as before. Regarding meals especially for children: I hope appropriate portion sizes can be provided in future stays. From an educational perspective as well, leaving large amounts of food uneaten is undesirable.

    Unfortunately.

    During the intense heat, I stayed at the accommodation seeking relaxation. This accommodation, limited to only 4 groups and featuring a lounge, promised an extraordinary experience. However, there were guests with small children staying on the same second floor who were constantly running around. The noise echoed into my room and continued past 10 PM late into the night and even early in the morning without stopping. It was extremely disappointing. Considering the concept of this accommodation, allowing small children may not be ideal. If allowed, enhancing soundproofing or limiting their stay to the first floor might be better options.

    Single occupancy

    I stayed alone this time. It's rare to find accommodation where you can truly relax even when traveling solo, but this place was excellent. Perhaps it was because it wasn't crowded during this season, but there were single-use benefits, private breakfast rooms, and other thoughtful touches for solo travelers that made me want to come back alone again. The view from the room faced the road, so I didn't open the curtains much as it wasn't very relaxing, but you can still see the ocean a bit. With a free pass to the tea lounge included, I enjoyed a leisurely time watching the ocean from there. The staff were friendly and welcoming with their smiles, making my stay very pleasant. Thank you!

    Used for a reunion.

    Ten friends from my university club stayed in three rooms at the accommodation. As it was my first time organizing, I started by choosing the hotel. Since my eldest son had worked in Awaji Island for several years, we had used several hotels from the New Awaji Group during that time, and I decided this one would be ideal. The result was perfect—everyone was very satisfied with the gathering. We informed them in advance about bringing three or four cars, so parking arrangements at the entrance and guidance to the parking lot were smooth. Check-in was relaxed as we sat in the lobby while receiving explanations, and a staff member guided us to our room. Our room on the Comfort Floor had a harbor view and comfortably accommodated four people. For baths, we enjoyed not only those at Yumesenkei but also those connected via corridors to Hotel New Awaji—everyone thoroughly enjoyed them. For meals, a private banquet room was prepared for us where we savored "Sakura Tai Cuisine." Every dish was thoughtfully crafted and deliciously prepared. The staff assigned to our room and banquet hall were all incredibly kind, making this gathering truly satisfying for everyone involved. Thank you very much!

    An annual tradition

    We stayed at the accommodation for two consecutive years with our children, their spouses, and grandchildren. The grandchildren had a great time enjoying the pool and the room. This year, my son tried the fishing pond for the first time and successfully caught a sea bream (about 50cm), which we enjoyed for dinner. It was such a fun experience. We will definitely come back next summer!

    Easy to use, but...

    Stayed at the Lagoon Villa. While aware there was no elevator, accessing the public bath and dinner required going to another building (shuttle service available). Breakfast was served in the lounge on the first floor, making stairs unavoidable. Upon departure, carrying luggage down the stairs took two trips and was unexpectedly inconvenient. Regarding meals: breakfast bread was unappetizing, the omelet lacked flavor, and neither steamed vegetables nor soup were enjoyable. However, staff service was excellent. The room itself was impeccable, and both the private open-air bath in the room and the public bath were satisfying. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.

    Stay at Yumekarizumi Accommodation

    I stayed at a hotel of the New Awaji Group. The staff's hospitality was very pleasant and delightful. The bath was absolutely amazing. I was surprised by the seasoning, presentation, and variety of the meals. They were very delicious.

    The most comfortable accommodation

    The Facility and service at the Hotel were excellent. As someone who loves open-air baths, I was disappointed that I couldn't use the red bath and others because they required descending steep stairs. Having an elevator would make it more accessible for elderly guests or those with disabilities. The flavors of all the dishes were quite strong; for those accustomed to Kyoto cuisine, a lighter taste might be more enjoyable. The special floor "Riraku" was very comfortable, and they even provided Awaji's specialty incense sticks, which could be taken home as well.

    It was an accommodation that moved us!

    I have stayed at New Awaji Yumesenkei many times before. Every time, I am impressed by the delicious meals and wonderful baths, but this time, I chose a Room on the Comfort Floor, which was spacious and very nice! Above all, what moved me the most was the bright smiles and pleasant greetings from all the staff. From check-in to those who carried my luggage, guided me to my Room, stood near the bath area, or handled cleaning—everyone greeted me with a smile. Thanks to this warm hospitality, I had an incredibly pleasant stay. Although I’ve never had a bad impression before, this experience felt even more exceptional! I hope New Awaji continues to provide such heartfelt service that leaves guests deeply touched. Thank you so much for everything. I can’t wait to visit again soon!

    Luxury Accommodation for an Elegant Stay

    Stayed in Room C in March and had a wonderful experience. This time, revisited because my daughter, who couldn't join last time, wanted to come along. This visit, we reserved Room D. While Room D is more spacious, the bath felt slightly smaller—perhaps due to its shape—but it’s still large enough for 2–3 people. The pistachio and strawberry tart, onion quiche, and fresh chocolate available at the complimentary lounge were absolutely delicious. For dinner, we enjoyed Japanese cuisine at Yumesenkei; breakfast was served in the lounge. If you notify them in advance, you can choose Western-style breakfast instead of Japanese. The Western breakfast includes pumpkin soup, salad with steamed vegetables, Awaji beef ragout, omelet, six types of bread with four kinds of jam and unique butter—all incredibly tasty! My husband and son opted for Japanese breakfast and commented that while there weren’t many dishes offered compared to other places they’ve been to before: "The balance is great; both the rice and miso soup are excellent." All staff members were very pleasant and made our stay comfortable. If I may make a suggestion: since my favorite dining experience within the New Awaji Group is Amaterasu's dinner and breakfast offerings—it would be wonderful if there were a plan allowing guests to enjoy meals from Amaterasu during their stay!

    Relaxing Accommodation

    We enjoyed our stay for a long-awaited couple's getaway. Check-in was handled at the lobby as it was a separate building, and we were excited from the moment we arrived. The staff member who assisted us was from Nepal, and their polite service made the check-in process smooth and reassuring. Our room was on the sixth floor, and we were guided through the elevator and hallway to our room. Both the hallway and room were impeccably clean, creating a sense of comfort that allowed us to relax completely. The meals were accompanied by detailed explanations from young staff members, making the already delicious dishes even more enjoyable. We had reserved a room with an open-air bath but ended up not visiting the public bath because of how comfortable our private open-air bath was in our room. At check-out, we received kind words from the staff, which concluded our trip on a perfect note. We would love to return with our children and grandchildren in the future! Thank you for providing such a wonderful accommodation experience!

    I always look forwar...

    I always look forward to enjoying the cuisine during the pike conger and blowfish seasons. One of our members cannot eat pickled vegetables, and we informed the staff who served our meal about this. However, there was no alternative provided. At other Hotels, when we mention this, they usually offer something small like salted kelp or simmered dried baby sardines as a substitute, but that was not the case here, which felt quite disappointing.

    It might have been due to the busy season...

    I booked a course with afternoon tea included. The post-meal tea was supposed to be brought upon calling the front desk, but despite calling several times for over 3 minutes every 20 minutes, no one answered. Frustrated, I went directly to the front desk and returned 40 minutes later, yet the tea still hadn't arrived. When I called the front desk again, someone responded promptly this time. I understand it can be difficult to respond immediately during busy periods, but it would be helpful if an approximate waiting time could be communicated in such cases. The meals were absolutely fantastic; everything was delicious. The afternoon tea was delightful as well, but the late-night beef bowl was exceptionally tasty—I’d love to have it again. Aside from the issue with the tea service, everything about this accommodation was truly wonderful!

    The meals and the view from the Room are excellent.

    The meals were delicious, and the view from the room was breathtaking with the ocean stretching out before us! Enjoying a meal in-room while relaxing and taking in that stunning view felt truly luxurious. However, upon entering the room, we noticed trash left in the bin from previous guests (though this was promptly addressed when reported, and we received an apology again at checkout). Additionally, there were many leaves floating in the outdoor bath of the public Onsen, which was disappointing. The private outdoor bath attached to our room had stairs that were too steep for my mother with mobility issues to use comfortably—perhaps I should have researched better. That said, all staff members provided excellent service throughout our stay. They greeted us warmly whenever we crossed paths and made our experience pleasant. While it seemed like Onsen-hopping is a highlight of this hotel group (with many guests from sister hotels visiting), there were moments when elevators and public baths felt crowded. However, once off the elevator on our floor—a special designated quiet area—we enjoyed peace and tranquility near our room. There was even a dedicated free massage chair available on this floor that we used frequently to relax alongside enjoying the Onsen experience!

    Since it was a spont...

    Since it was a spontaneous plan, there were no rooms with beds available, so we chose a Japanese-style Room with a meal-in-room Plan for the first time in ages. However, the woman who served our meals was wonderful, and we were able to enjoy a pleasant and delicious dinner. The large public baths allowed access to four locations in total between our Hotel and the neighboring Hotel in the morning and evening, which was very satisfying. Sitting on the chair by the window, we could relax while leisurely gazing at the sea.

    I was looking forwar...

    I was looking forward to both the meals and the onsen at this seaside accommodation after a long time. The result exceeded all my expectations—it was absolutely wonderful! The staff's thoughtfulness was exceptional, and I was deeply moved by their kind considerations even at the dining area. Although my children are at an age where they no longer enjoy family trips, they said, "We want to come here again!" I believe such a lovely accommodation is rare to find, and despite the distance, I would love to stay here again. Thank you so much for everything!

    We visited Awaji Isl...

    We visited Awaji Island as a couple. We enjoyed the bath three times, and each type of bath was wonderful. Watching the sunrise from the open-air bath on the second floor in the early morning was truly moving. Since meals were served in our Room, dining while gazing at the ocean was fantastic. We also relaxed at the Riraku Lounge. On our way back, a staff member kindly saw us off to our car and recommended visiting Highway Oasis, so we decided to go. The weather was great, and the scenery was beautiful and refreshing. We had shirasu rice bowls and bought plenty of fresh onions to take home. Thank you for your hospitality! We look forward to staying at Yumekaiyu again!

    Stay for a Child's Birthday

    For our child's 6th birthday, we decided to try this place instead of New Awaji for a change. At New Awaji, they gave a small birthday gift (the kind that expands and retracts when you blow on it—I forgot the name) which left a great impression. Even though I mentioned the birthday in the Reservation, there was no such gesture here. A simple "Happy Birthday" would have been nice! The meals were plentiful and lightly seasoned, which was good. However, the salmon at breakfast was so tiny that even my child was shocked. I wouldn’t mind paying more if they could serve at least one proper slice of salmon! Using such a large grill just for this felt too minimalistic—it really surprised me!

    Reunion

    Since we were a group of six, we stayed in a special Room, and it was an even more wonderful space than we had imagined. Although the Room did not have an open-air bath, the Hotel's open-air bath was fantastic, allowing us to relax while enjoying the ocean view. Meals were served in the Room for both dinner and breakfast, providing a calm and private dining experience. Additionally, we were deeply moved and impressed by the heartfelt service provided by our room attendant.
