    View of the Tokachi River

    I stayed here on a friend’s recommendation. It was very clean, and the Onsen was spacious, so I could truly relax. The view of the Tokachi River from the terrace was beautiful—I couldn’t stop admiring it. Dinner was so satisfying that even someone who said “I hate buffets” ended up saying, “It’s really delicious. I’d be happy to stay here again,” and it was great that alcohol was all-inclusive as well. Since it was during Obon there were many families, but the place felt so spacious that it never seemed crowded—really reminding me of an Accommodation in Hokkaido. The azuki tea was delicious too.

    The Onsen was wonderful, the food was delicious, and all the staff were lovely.

    I stayed here at the end of my trip to Hokkaido. The places I stayed before were wonderful as well, but this Tokachigawa Onsen Daiichi Hotel was outstanding. Every dish at the buffet was delicious. I wanted to try more, but I got full and couldn’t eat everything, which I still regret a little. The kamameshi rice was especially good, and the meat was excellent too—in fact, everything I tried tasted great. When I went to the Onsen early in the morning (just after 5 a.m.), I saw staff baking bread. I had some at breakfast, and it was also very tasty. The moor Onsen had a gentle natural scent and a wonderfully silky feel on the skin; one night wasn’t enough. This time I couldn’t take my time sightseeing around Tokachi, so I would love to come back again next year. More than anything, what left me with such a great impression of the Hotel was an employee at the souvenir shop “Tamatebako.” The trainee wearing a training name badge had an amazing smile and provided excellent service. When I told them how pleasant they were, they responded with another lovely smile. Of course it comes down to personal qualities as well, but it also made me feel that the Hotel’s management philosophy must be excellent for staff like this to grow here. All of the other staff were wonderful too, and it reminded me that not only the Onsen and food but also people’s hospitality is what truly shapes a trip. Thank you for helping me make such great memories—I would like to stay again next year as well.

    Overall, the flavors (dashi) felt a bit weak.

    Overall, the flavors (dashi) were light, and the chawanmushi in particular tasted quite mild. The menu was good. The staff’s service was excellent. The Room was very clean as well, and we had a very comfortable stay.

    As expected from an Accommodation with excellent Reviews

    The high Review rating makes perfect sense. We had been on a Multiple Night Stay in a suite at a resort in the Tomamu area until the day before, so the moment we entered our Room, we were stunned by how small it was. We were really disappointed. But then—the bath was great, which lifted our spirits, and what’s more, the dinner buffet included unlimited alcohol. The steak and raclette were delicious too, and our mood completely recovered! We enjoyed ourselves with some wine. Again, it’s easy to see why the Reviews are so highly rated. At check-in, we were told to carry our own suitcases to the Room—this was a first for us at an Accommodation, so we were shocked. They said they would lend us a cart and that we could return it either to the front desk or leave it outside our Room door. We had so many questions. It was simply surprising that guests are expected to take their own suitcases up to their Rooms in the elevator.

    About the guest rooms at Mameyotei

    This time, we stayed with a total of eight people, including my daughter’s family and my son’s family. We originally wanted to book Toyosutei, but it was difficult to get a reservation, so we chose Toyotei instead. Good points - Drinks were free, and they had my favorite Classic draft beer. The temperature control was excellent—it was the best Classic I’ve had among the Hotels I’ve stayed at recently. - The buffet had a good selection of fairly tasty dishes. - The staff’s smiles were wonderful. Points for improvement - Guests staying at Toyotei are provided with yukata. These days, is yukata really the best option? I’d like samue to be the standard instead. - The Room still feels stuck in the Showa era. In particular, sounds from the toilet can be heard very clearly in the Room. Given the pricing, I hope Toyotei guest Rooms will be renovated. - There is only one accessible parking space—this also doesn’t match today’s needs.

    Not only the Onsen, but everything is wonderful.

    I stayed here looking forward to the Moor Onsen and the scenery, and it turned out to be an even more satisfying trip than I expected. The water quality was excellent, and above all the bathing area was spotless and beautiful—I haven’t seen such a clean bath in a long time. Meals were served buffet-style and were truly delicious. Even without heavy seasoning, the natural flavors of the ingredients were more than enough, and the wide variety of dishes made it a genuine pleasure. The staff were also wonderful. The front desk team shared recommended spots to visit; the person baking bread in the morning greeted me even through the glass; and I also saw someone caring for the entrance plants early in the morning. Thanks to the Onsen, Hotel, and all of your staff, it became a truly memorable trip. I will definitely stay again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    A Journey to Fully Enjoy the Great Outdoors

    We stayed here on our way from Kushiro Marsh to Obihiro. We arrived after 4:00 PM, and it was difficult to secure our preferred dinner time, but thanks to the staff’s efforts they were able to accommodate us. Thank you very much. Because of that, we truly enjoyed our Hotel stay. We were also able to visit the Onsen while it was still light out, and the view from the open-air bath was very soothing. The moor Onsen with a depth of 120 cm became a wonderful memory. Both breakfast and dinner were served in private rooms, so we could relax and enjoy local cuisine at our own pace. Thank you for a great stay.

    A Hotel that children will love

    Honestly, I was disappointed because the Reviews were so good and my expectations were high. The Room felt old, there were very few outlets, and there was a step inside the Room that made it inconvenient to use. We checked in with a lot of luggage, but we were only told to place it on the cart next to the bench and received no further assistance. Despite the price, we had to bring our own amenities, and there was nothing provided in places like the large public bath either.. We stayed at other Ryokan near Tokachigawa Onsen before and after this stay, and this Hotel felt like the least worth its price. That said, there is a kids’ room and a children’s buffet at the restaurant, and our child said this Hotel was the most fun. I think it’s a good choice for families with preschool-aged children.

    It was a comfortable Room.

    The Room was well stocked with towels and amenities, and both the open-air bath and indoor bath were comfortable. Dinner was also buffet-style, and everything was delicious; it was great to be able to eat as much as I wanted. Because the directions to the Room and the explanation of where to dine were given very smoothly, I found it difficult to take in everything at once. I had a comfortable stay at the Accommodation and would like to use it again.

    Dinner was, of course, a buffet, and everything was delicious. The guest room with a private open-air bath was amazing. We’ll definitely be back.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    I stayed at Toyosutei (1 night with 2 meals), enjoying seasonal Japanese kaiseki in a private Room / Club Dining Tokachi – ¥13,200 course. What I liked - The food was delicious - The Room was clean - I could relax and enjoy the large public bath and sauna - The view from the Room was great - The lounge had a good selection of drinks What disappointed me - My Room was next to the emergency staircase, and I could hear noisy activity from around 7:00 a.m. - The open-air bath in the Room was small Overall, I’m satisfied because I had a relaxing stay.

    The Room is small, but the view is great.

    The Hotel has an open-air bath. It is very hot and comfortable. There are not many breakfast options, but dinner is delicious.

    Satisfied with the snow-viewing bath

    The weather changed suddenly from clear skies to snowfall at night, and it became very cold, but the open-air bath in the Room stayed warm all night, so we enjoyed it many times. We were also thrilled to see a pair of red-crowned cranes from the Room.

    The moor Onsen was amazing!

    Second Stay at Toyosutei The Room and bath were excellent. Drinks in the lounge, like canned beer and Ribbon Napolin, were served in just the right portions—perfect for finishing. The sake liqueur was also delicious. The chocolate, which wasn’t available last time, was tasty and delightful. As a family of drink lovers, we truly appreciated the free drinks! Dinner was a buffet. The individually plated sashimi looked beautiful; though it takes effort to prepare, serving on small plates avoids waste and offers smaller portions suitable for women or seniors. Desserts were small but authentic—the cream puffs were delicious! The sleeve-holding rubber bands provided with the indoor wear are a great idea—they keep food clean without touching sleeves and add a sense of cleanliness. Above all else, every staff member had warm smiles and showed great attentiveness—it left such a positive impression. A special mention to the female front desk staff who assisted us last time—her composed demeanor shows her growing experience in her role. We look forward to seeing her again on our next visit. This is our annual treat—we’ll be back again!

    I stayed at Toyosute...

    I stayed at Toyosutei again this time, and as always, everything was satisfactory. For dinner, I chose teppanyaki for the first time and discovered a new enjoyment different from the traditional Japanese meal set.

    Relaxation for Two

    I believe this was my second visit since over 20 years ago. I stayed in the Toyotei Japanese Modern Room. The Facility was clean, and although the Room showed its age, it was well-maintained and felt comfortable. The staff were friendly and always smiling, especially during meals where their efficiency and cheerful demeanor made the experience even more pleasant. It was great!

    It's busy even on weekdays.

    It was crowded even on weekdays. The buffet area was busy and noisy. The Onsen water quality was excellent. The large public bath was also relatively crowded, so a room with an open-air bath would be ideal. If you want to enjoy a quiet meal, it’s better to avoid the buffet option.

    The view is excellent.

    I heard from an acquaintance that Toyosu Residence is great, so I decided to visit. The view of the spacious Tokachi River from the Room and lounge was relaxing and calming. The only disappointment was the dinner (kaiseki), which was quite ordinary. Considering the price, there wasn’t anything particularly delicious or special about it. Are you perhaps focusing more on your buffet offerings? I would love to return for that Room and scenery, but next time, I hope to enjoy a more delightful kaiseki meal.

    A Blissful Moment

    I have stayed here several times, and this time I visited with a friend. We chose the plan that included teppanyaki abalone and spiny lobster, which was incredibly delicious and very filling. It felt a bit indulgent, but it was worth the splurge. Unfortunately, due to renovations, the second-floor bath has been unavailable for quite some time, which was disappointing. However, the moor onsen was very relaxing and warming.

    I love this Ryokan and have stayed here many times. As someone who enjoys alcohol, I appreciate the all-you-can-drink option during dinner. The draft beer was delicious, which made me happy, but I felt the front desk service and cost-saving measures at the bath area could be improved.

    It was excellent.

    I stayed at Toyosu-tei for one night. First, the staff who guided me to the room upon arrival was very polite and even shared recommended spots in Obihiro, which was very helpful. The room's bath made my skin feel smooth and refreshed. The meals were delicious, and every staff member provided courteous service from start to finish, making it a place I truly want to stay at again. My parents, who stayed with me, were also very pleased. Thank you so much for the wonderful time!

    We stayed for 2 nigh...

    We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days on a family trip, and both the kids and adults were very satisfied! Our room was on the riverside, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The dinner buffet was delicious, and everyone ate to their heart's content! The staff were all very friendly, making it a wonderful hotel!

    Thank you for your hospitality on September 14th. We were worried about causing any inconvenience as we were staying with a young child, but the staff's warm smiles helped our grandchild relax and enjoy the stay. The treasure hunt tour for children was also a delightful experience for us to share together. Despite hearing that the accommodation was fully booked, the dining area was not crowded or noisy at all, and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meals. We look forward to staying again.     A wonderful accommodation.

    I visited after watching a travel-related YouTube channel, and everything from the service, meals, Onsen, and facilities was excellent. I had a comfortable stay from check-in to check-out without any complaints. It was a Hotel that felt refreshingly different from the typical Hokkaido style in a good way. Although I used to avoid the Tokachi area due to the distance, I will definitely return. Thank you to all the Hotel staff.

    It was a return visit.

    This was my second visit. On my first stay, I really loved the Moor Onsen, the Facility, the high-quality dining lounge, and the Room with a private open-air bath, so I made a Reservation again about six months in advance. However, after making an early Reservation, the Diamond member benefit display disappeared around the next day, which was disappointing. I did receive the benefits, but I had mixed feelings. Still, all of the staff who welcomed us and saw us off were very pleasant, so overall I was satisfied. Thank you very much.

    Great Onsen and Delicious Meals

    Stayed with three family members to thank a friend in Obihiro. Chose a room with an open-air bath and great views, which made my friend very happy. Although buses from Obihiro Station are limited, one stops right in front of the hotel entrance, making it easy to arrive by taking a midday flight → Obihiro Station → Onsen by 4 PM without renting a car. Enjoyed the unique moor onsen of Obihiro, followed by meals with so many options that it was hard to choose. The food was incredibly delicious. The service was excellent, and I plan to visit again in winter with another friend!
