    The accommodation exceeded our expectations.

    The building was so stylish that it felt like being in the Mediterranean. Despite it being winter, the pool water was kept clean and pristine. Everywhere was well-maintained and spotless. I didn’t have high expectations for the food, but it pleasantly exceeded them in a good way. The presentation was beautiful, and the taste was excellent—I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. As an Onsen enthusiast, I found it a bit disappointing that the large public bath wasn’t an Onsen, but perhaps that's asking too much. I would definitely love to stay here again!

    It was excellent.

    We planned a trip to Ise to celebrate our pearl wedding anniversary and had a hard time deciding on the accommodation. After visiting Ise and Toba, we stayed at this hotel in Shima for our final night. The room was newly renovated with an amazing view. We were lucky with the weather and even got to see the sunset. We chose a full-course French meal, and every dish was well thought out and absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, leaving us completely satisfied. They also provided a celebratory plate for us. For breakfast, we opted for Western-style; it was beautifully presented, not overly large in portion but came with refillable salad which we found unique. The bread was also delightful. All the staff members were incredibly kind and answered all of our questions thoroughly, leaving a great impression on us. They congratulated us multiple times on our pearl wedding anniversary, which made us very happy. In the end, we truly felt that choosing this hotel was the right decision from the bottom of our hearts. We took a walk before leaving and found it so lovely that we thought it would be perfect to visit again in summer! Thank you very much for your hospitality during this special occasion!

    A trip with friends from school days

    We visited as a group of three friends from our school days. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the large public bath. A sign indicated it was "crowded," and the shoe lockers at the bath were also full. We considered changing our timing but ended up taking turns using the Room's bathroom instead. Both dinner and breakfast were visually delightful and incredibly delicious. Although I couldn't experience the large public bath this time, I noticed that the pathway between it and the Room is outdoors despite having a roof, making it quite far. It seems like you might catch a chill in winter!

    Delicious meals, drinks, and complete satisfaction.

    French full-course dinner and breakfast plan for three female friends. We were very satisfied with the delicious selection of drinks. The staff who supported our sightseeing plan for the next day were very kind. It was also convenient that no reservation was required for the shuttle service. Thank you very much!

    The location, lobby, and room had an exotic atmosphere that was truly impressive. However, I was surprised to find leftovers from the previous guest in the room's refrigerator. Although the cleaning staff promptly disposed of and sanitized it, this issue was not addressed during checkout, which was disappointing. The only sleepwear provided was a thick and rough bathrobe, making it uncomfortable to sleep. Additionally, the Japanese breakfast porridge was cold, and even the rice refill wasn't hot. Despite the front desk being available, service took a long time. As part of the Miyako Hotel Group, my expectations were high but unfortunately unmet in some areas.

    Enjoy dishes crafted with the heartfelt care of our head chef.

    I was finally able to make a reservation 5 days ago. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised as both Japanese and Western cuisine were very delicious. The room was spacious with a great view, but the furniture and sofa were slightly outdated, which was a bit disappointing.

    The Resort Hotel

    The accommodation itself seems quite old, but it is so well-maintained that I didn’t feel its age at all. I was impressed by how beautifully they keep the white building in such pristine condition. I stayed in a room on the ocean side. Since I’m not a fan of overly spacious rooms, the size was just right for me—not too big or too small—allowing me to relax comfortably. The beds were double-sized, I believe? With two placed side by side, they were very spacious and had just the right firmness! Cleanliness was impeccable as well. The panoramic view of Ago Bay was breathtaking! The scenery was incredibly serene and stunning.

    Great value for money! It was amazing.

    Stayed in a villa for three people. Thanks to the IKYU discount, it was excellent value for money. I have used this service several times, but usually stayed in pet-friendly Rooms that were small and dark. This time, the Room was spacious and much better. The lighting in the Room is only indirect lighting, which made it dim and a bit disappointing. The Japanese cuisine is always truly satisfying. This time's experience was fantastic overall, but due to my age, I felt one dish too many; an option to reduce the number of dishes would have allowed me to finish the final abalone rice completely.

    My first stay in Shima started at a different hotel, but I definitely prefer this one! While there is a sense of age, especially in the bathroom which could use some improvement, the lobby, interior design, and overall atmosphere of the Hotel exude a European resort style that made it incredibly relaxing. I didn’t even feel like going out during the day. It seems perfect for a workation as well. Since it was autumn, the poolside restaurant was closed, but I look forward to enjoying it during summer. The ambiance would be even better with an attached spa or an updated selection in the gift shop!

    The view of Ago Bay is stunning!

    Stayed for 2 nights with family of 4 during the first weekend of November, including dinner and breakfast. The lobby was very spacious, offering a stunning view of Ago Bay from morning to night. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunrise due to the direction, but we spent time enjoying the sea view from the lobby whenever possible. We were initially concerned about some reviews mentioning that meals were not great, but all our meals exceeded expectations and satisfied everyone in our family. The staff serving us were friendly and made dining a pleasant experience. However, for those with a big appetite, portions might feel slightly small—though it was fine for us as light eaters. Our room had been renovated and was clean overall. It featured USB Type-C outlets in addition to regular ones, which was convenient. Indoor sandals provided by the hotel were useful for visiting the public bath or strolling around inside (note: these sandals cannot be used in restaurants). On the downside, due to the building's age, some features like non-mixer faucets at the sink and traditional keys instead of card keys (with only one key per room) felt outdated—we would have appreciated having two keys. Although we knew beforehand that the public bath wasn't an onsen, it felt small relative to guest capacity; on our first night there was even a wait for washing stations due to high usage at that time. Extending operating hours based on occupancy rates could improve this experience (the men's side seemed less crowded). Due to train schedules among other factors limiting our stay duration despite booking two nights at this hotel—we hope next visit allows more relaxed enjoyment! Thank you very much. *By way: pajamas provided are two-piece style—which personally suited me better than one-piece types.*

    I was very satisfied... except for one thing ( ; ; )

    We previously stayed with our dog and had a great experience, so this time we booked a Multiple Night Stay for 2 nights. The renovated facilities were clean, and the meals—Western cuisine on the first day and Japanese cuisine on the second—were both delicious. However, there was one unpleasant incident during this trip. When we arrived at Kashikojima Station, the shuttle service driver suddenly asked if we had permission to bring our dog and mentioned that it might inconvenience other passengers. We were shocked by this unexpected comment and wondered if we should take a taxi instead. Fortunately, other passengers on the bus reassured us that it was fine, so we were able to board. Although I informed the front desk about this issue upon arrival, their response felt dismissive as just a misunderstanding. Since I had already communicated about using public transportation when reserving a dog-friendly room, I wish this information had been shared properly among staff members. Other than that incident, everything else was satisfactory. We would love to stay again next year!

    Overall, I am satisf...

    Overall, I am satisfied and had a great experience. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were absolutely delicious. However, there was one disappointment—since there was a large public bath, I assumed it was an Onsen, but it turned out not to be an Onsen.

    Perfect for guests with dogs!

    The building is beautiful and full of charm, with an excellent location. Breakfast offers a choice between Japanese and Western styles, but the Japanese option was the right choice—absolutely delicious. You can also choose from different types of rice, which felt like a great value. I stayed with my beloved dog, and the Room was lovely with exceptional treatment that far surpasses other pet-friendly Hotels. It was truly wonderful, and I would love to visit this amazing Hotel again!

    Enjoyed the stunning view of Ago Bay.

    I impulsively decided to visit Ago Bay after unexpectedly getting time off work and searched for available hotels near Kashikojima. I booked this hotel with an ocean-view twin room, including dinner and breakfast. From the moment of arrival to check-in, the staff gave me a warm welcome. The facility seems to have been around for some years, but it was renovated last year. While there might be minor details if you look closely, the hotel is well-maintained and reflects their dedication. The ocean-view room had just been refurbished, so it was clean and equipped with multiple power outlets and USB-C ports for convenience. Perhaps because it was late in the summer vacation season, there were fewer families staying. On that scorching day, I couldn't find anywhere else to go out to but enjoyed relaxing at the hotel while gazing at Ago Bay. The view was truly stunning—calm reflections of the sunset on the water made for a picturesque scene. In the morning, I woke up early to admire the water from my terrace. For dinner, I hadn't checked carefully during reservation and ended up with casual French cuisine that felt a bit lacking in volume. While the taste was average, I appreciated the warm hospitality of the staff which allowed me to relax and enjoy my meal pleasantly. For men or those with bigger appetites, I'd recommend opting for a full course meal instead. Breakfast featured Japanese cuisine which I found delicious (though they served rice in a large container that was too much for me to finish). If given another opportunity someday, I'd love to stay here again!

    The long-awaited Resort Hotel

    I had been wanting to stay here for a while, as recommended by my brother and his wife. I was able to enjoy a relaxing vacation, swimming in the pool and unwinding in the room. Thank you very much. I will visit again.

    It was comfortable.

    I decided to stay one night in Kashikojima after securing a seat on the long-awaited sightseeing express Shimakaze, and I chose this Hotel after comparing it with many others in the area. It was the right choice. The exterior, interior, and Room were all beautifully European-style, offering a sense of escape from everyday life. Even though my Room was on the first floor, I could fully enjoy the view of Ago Bay. They contacted me in advance regarding allergy accommodations, allowing me to enjoy delicious meals with peace of mind. The staff, including those at the shop, provided impeccable service. Thank you very much!

    It was a bit disappointing.

    I have been using this hotel almost every year, as I truly enjoy staying here. The French dinner, in particular, is absolutely exquisite. However, this time I was disappointed mainly with the service. Perhaps it was due to the busy season, but still: - The hospitality during check-in lacked warmth and attentiveness (not bad per se but not as courteous as before). Unlike my previous visit, there was no thoughtful gesture like "Thank you for always choosing us; we appreciate it." - When heading to the restaurant for dinner, the guidance was not smooth (I felt treated as if there were no reservation). - There were several moments during serving where politeness seemed lacking (the speed and noise when placing dishes or overly fast explanations of ingredients). Lastly, the dinner at the restaurant itself was as exquisite and satisfying as always. It’s precisely because of this that I feel truly disappointed about these service aspects.

    We arrived a bit ear...

    We arrived a bit early for check-in and enjoyed a lovely walk while taking in the beautiful scenery. The French dinner and breakfast on the terrace provided truly luxurious moments. We also had fun at the night pool, joining in with younger couples. It was truly refreshing for the soul. We look forward to staying again! One small note: the glass door leading to the terrace is surprisingly heavy, so we hope that can be addressed.

    The Resort Hotel offers a luxurious atmosphere that makes you feel like you've traveled abroad. For dinner, we enjoyed French cuisine at a wonderfully elegant restaurant, and the food was absolutely delicious.

    Stunning Views

    Blessed with great weather, we enjoyed a stunning view. First of all, the meals were satisfying. Both Japanese and Western dishes were thoughtfully prepared. Since we chose a Plan with Room service, we could enjoy our meal leisurely while gazing at the ocean. Additionally, the location is unbelievably close to Kashikojima Country Club within walking distance. Even though we started our day at a relaxed pace, we were able to return to the Hotel by 2:30 PM. Highly recommended for those planning golf! The public bath is small for a Hotel of this scale and does not offer any views. Therefore, if you prioritize baths, you might feel disappointed. However, given the truly amazing location, I was more than satisfied with the bathroom in our Room (with a washing area). Thank you to all the staff members! I look forward to visiting again for another golf trip!

    The Japanese cuisine "Chigusa Course" is disappointing.

    During my recent one-night stay, I chose the "Japanese Cuisine Chigusa Course" for dinner, but it lacked a standout main dish and did not feel worth the 9,000 yen price. The taste was average. Additionally, the basement floor had a strong varnish smell, which was unpleasant.

    Ise to Kashikojima: Trip for Two Families

    In mid-March, we went on a trip with two households (myself, my wife, our 9-year-old daughter, grandpa, and grandma), totaling five people. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were impressed by its stylish Western-style exterior. During check-in and being guided to our room, we passed through a courtyard with beautifully maintained trees and a fountain, which was delightful. The room itself was chic and had a balcony or terrace that amazed us even more. Our 9-year-old daughter was so excited that she couldn't stop jumping on the bed! For dinner, we chose a Japanese kaiseki meal featuring authentic dashi flavors with Ise lobster, abalone, and Matsusaka beef—an absolute treat. However, the bath facilities were somewhat underwhelming as they only included a sauna, cold bath, and one large bath; I wish there had been an open-air bath to enjoy. Overall though, it was a highly satisfying accommodation experience! Next time we'd love to stay in summer so we can enjoy the hotel's pool!

    Truly Mediterranean!

    Perfect location and service. I had a luxurious time. The breakfast was especially elegant... If there's anything to note, it would be the staff's fragrance and wearing clothes to the large public bath. But even these match this Hotel perfectly. When visiting Ise-Shima, I would love to stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Dinner and hospitality do not match the Facility or the price.

    Arriving after sunset, the illuminated building was enchanting. The next day, the building and layout, taking advantage of the terrain facing the bay, were beautiful, and even after renovation, the building was in excellent condition both inside and out. If I had to say, the red carpet in the hallway was faded and could have been done without. Now, the problem was dinner. Even considering the New Year's pricing, the meal was unimpressive in both quantity and quality, leaving no lasting impression. Furthermore, I chose a pairing with alcohol, but the last of the three glasses took a long time to arrive, and it was served with the last dish. That was a small portion of tempura, and rice and miso soup were brought immediately after. Were we supposed to drink with the pickles? The service was efficient but lacked hospitality. Additionally, there was no partition between our table and the family next to us, with two groups in the room, making it impossible not to overhear conversations. Despite the different meal contents for both families, there was no consideration. Breakfast was splendid, but it was unfortunate that it took too long due to the effort involved. I felt there was room for improvement, such as using a reservation system if desired. In conclusion, I don't think I would revisit because of that dinner.

    A comfortable place

    I had a comfortable stay. The non-alcoholic pairing on the dinner drink menu was excellent. It was a new experience as the impression completely changed before and after tasting the food, making it very enjoyable. It was disappointing that there were no non-alcoholic beverages available in the vending machines or the shop. The facility was not only clean but also well air-conditioned, allowing for a comfortable stay. I also thoroughly enjoyed the stargazing tour. It was my first time seeing the stars through a telescope, and I was moved by the sight of Saturn's patterns. Thank you very much.
