    The pool was wonderful.

    We stayed as a family. What we liked most was the excellent sports Facility. It was our first time in a pool in a while, and the atmosphere was fun and we were able to relax comfortably. We also enjoyed table tennis and tennis indoors with plenty of space. The Room, Onsen, and meals were all great. What disappointed us was having to wait quite a long time when entering the restaurant. Even though we had reserved a time, it wasn’t clear where to line up. A group that arrived later complained and was seated before us, so the handling of the situation wasn’t good. We hope this will be improved.

    Family-friendly and popular with families.

    Overall, it was an excellent Resort Hotel. The only disappointment was the lounge we used for dinner. There were very few guests, which made us wonder why. The food wasn’t what we had expected, so we might have been better off choosing the buffet instead.

    The more you learn, the more you can enhance your stay experience at this Resort Hotel.

    Hilton has transformed a former property into a Resort Hotel. The grounds are spacious, and they’re generous enough to let you use the pool and Onsen even before check-in and after check-out. You can arrive around noon after lunch, leave your luggage, play in the pool until 3:00, check in after 3:00 and keep enjoying the facilities, have a buffet dinner, then go back for more—same idea on departure day. You can check out at 12:00, relax in the Onsen at your leisure, and head home in the evening. The pool/Onsen changing rooms are large and comfortable, with ample space for women to touch up makeup. At this Hotel, guests plan their own activity schedule and carry it out. It’s designed so you can create—and enhance—your own experience (though some families seem so active that people occasionally lose track of each other). Meals are mainly buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, and the overall quality is high. If anything, the sushi feels slightly geared toward kids. The all-you-can-drink option is 5,000 yen; it pays off if you’ll have three or more glasses of wine. A typical city Hotel offers check-in at 15:00 and check-out at 12:00—so you don’t even get a full 24 hours. Here in Odawara Hilton (for the reasons above), even one night lets you enjoy well over 30 hours; stay two nights and you may lose count of how long you’ve been there. The staff don’t just stick to a script—they respond thoughtfully. For example, I checked out leaving my drink voucher behind in my Room; when I told a lounge staff member what happened, they waived it without any fuss. Because it’s an isolated stand-alone Hotel property (“a lone house”), there’s no convenience store nearby—so it can feel inconvenient. But that just means preparing ahead of time. This is a Resort Hotel where guests can raise their own experience value through how they spend their time. (Additional note) I called it a Resort Hotel—but many guests were wearing similar black T-shirts. Even outfits that might stand out in town feel acceptable here; I would have liked to see people dress up more brightly or boldly. Guest rating: three stars.

    First Stay for a Family Trip

    We stayed here for a trip that combined our children’s summer vacation memories with a family celebration. We only used the indoor pool, but it was very spacious and open, and the changing rooms were clean. The jacuzzi was fairly deep, so I think younger children up to elementary school age would feel safer with a swim ring. Still, we enjoyed having both a 25-meter pool and a jacuzzi. We also enjoyed bowling and the game area, and our kids were happy because there was more to do than we could fit into one night. The dinner and breakfast buffets had a good variety; breakfast in particular was delicious, especially the seafood rice bowl and toasted croissants. Since this was a celebration trip, we requested an upper-floor Room, but that wasn’t possible, which was disappointing. However, the view was great, the Room was spacious and clean, and overall we were very satisfied. This is an Accommodation we’d like to stay at again when we visit the Odawara area.

    Family Trip

    I’m a repeat guest. The kids love the spa and pool, so we used them both on the day of arrival and the next day as well. One child was using a large ride-on float (about 1.5 m), which felt dangerous. This time we were also able to go bowling, which is usually fully booked. Even in the hot summer, everything could be enjoyed within the Hotel, and it became a wonderful memory. At dinner, I handed over my Diamond benefit drink service voucher to the staff member who showed us to our table, but nothing happened for quite a while. Meanwhile, the family next to us started their meal with a champagne toast under the same benefit. When I spoke to another staff member, they apologized and took care of it right away. Next time, I’d like to use the gymnasium and try tennis as well.

    Everything you need is provided.

    I visited again after a long time with my grandchild. With the Shuttle Service from the station, we could relax without worrying about the weather… My grandchild’s endless energy was burned off in the pool, and at night we took it easy in the Onsen with an open-air bath… The staff were also very kind. The facilities are spacious, and there are sofas where you can unwind a bit. However, I felt the meals were a little pricey… Well, it’s a foreign-owned hotel, so maybe that’s to be expected… I’ll visit again. Thank you very much.

    This is our third stay for a three-generation family trip.

    This was our third stay. We visited as a three-generation family trip (8 people), including our grandparents and two children aged 5 and 3. What makes this Hotel special is that everyone—from kids to seniors—can enjoy it in their own way. There are indoor and outdoor pools as well as Onsen Facilities (with well-stocked amenities), so you can relax without worrying about the weather, which is a huge help when traveling with children. Our kids used the pools and Onsen again and again, played in the kids’ room and game area, and looked happy throughout our stay. The guest rooms are spacious, and the entire building feels open, so even with three generations we never felt cramped. Our grandparents also enjoyed the Onsen and the shop, spending time relaxing inside or taking walks nearby at their own pace. The staff were consistently courteous, which made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. Access from central Tokyo is convenient; our train-loving child enjoyed traveling by Shinkansen, and it’s also easy to reach by car—another big plus for multi-generation trips because it reduces travel fatigue. Our child likes this Hotel so much they said they want to live here. As parents, we feel confident staying here, which is why we keep coming back. I highly recommend it for families with preschoolers as well as senior travelers. We’d love to visit again as a family.

    This was our first s...

    This was our first stay. The staff service, on-site Facilities, meals, and location were better than any Hotel we have stayed at before. All of our children said it was the best Hotel they’ve ever stayed in as well, so I wanted to share that and posted my first Review. It became a wonderful memory for us. We will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

    The pool is fun.

    The building was very well cleaned, and both the Room and the large public bath were very clean. The pool was spacious, and it felt safe because staff regularly patrolled the area. Since it’s heated, it was pleasant to use the outdoor pool even in April. If I may suggest a few improvements: separate two-piece pajamas would be easier to wear than yukata. Perhaps because many guests are from overseas, there were many Western-style dishes; however, given that this is Odawara, I would be happy to see a wider variety of Japanese cuisine. It would also help if there were more food options that children enjoy.

    First, the overall hospitality of the staff is excellent. However, Facility management and operations do not match that level. At both dinner and breakfast, the wait time is long every time. I’m not sure whether it’s due to a lack of staff or an operational issue. There has been no improvement for years. If it’s difficult to secure enough staff, there are many possible solutions—such as introducing a Reservation system. Regarding the dinner buffet menu: For families with children, I would like to see more kid-friendly options. As for the Facility and the Room: There are far too many places where the wallpaper is peeling. Since this Hotel has a steel-frame structure, once repaired it shouldn’t peel again naturally for several years. So it seems likely that wallpaper repairs have not been done for quite some time. Peeling wallpaper makes it feel “old,” not “classic.” Also, the sofa in the Room is excessively worn out. Has it ever been replaced since opening? This also makes it feel dated. Finally, I noticed many staff members wearing uniforms that looked quite worn out. Given the Hilton name and higher expectations that come with it, cleanliness and presentation of uniforms matter as well. The uniform design also feels outdated, so I would recommend updating them. I like this Hotel and have stayed here many times, but because I’ve been coming for years, I was disappointed to notice how little has changed this time. I hope this will be a Hotel that never stops improving.

    I relaxed and unwound in the pool and jacuzzi.

    We arrived quite early, and the front desk staff kindly let us into our Room since it was ready. The spa was comfortable with the perfect temperature, and with the great weather we enjoyed a wonderful view, but it seems like it would be enjoyable even on a rainy day. It can be used both before check-in and after check-out. Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, with the menu changing completely between morning and evening. With a focus on locally sourced ingredients, there were many Odawara specialties, which made us feel like we were sightseeing in Odawara just through the food. We would love to visit again.

    Due to strong winds.

    I visited for the first time, drawn by the convenient access from central Tokyo, the well-equipped in-house Facility, and an ocean-view Room. When making my Reservation, I didn’t realize the Hotel would be closed starting the next day, but it didn’t particularly affect my schedule. While the Hotel does feel a bit dated, the building and Facility are impressive, and both the view from the Room and my experience using the Bade building met expectations. Dinner and breakfast were good; especially at dinner, “snow crab” was included—more satisfying than what I expected from a Plan title highlighting “tempura” and “roast beef.” On the other hand, there were two disappointments. First, as mentioned in other Reviews, check-in was slow. Even around 3:00 p.m., only one staff member was handling reception—no wonder it took time. Second, due to strong winds there was a fairly loud whistling noise in my Room that woke me up during the night and kept me from sleeping. After about three hours I finally called the front desk to explain what was happening, and they promptly sealed gaps with protective tape. In hindsight, I should have called sooner instead of putting up with it. Still, it’s a Hotel where you can enjoy staying longer—being able to use facilities both before check-in and after check-out—and it’s perfect if you want to relax without going out much. It’s unfortunate that I ended up sleep-deprived this time, but I’d like to visit again when I have another chance.

    Second time

    This is a repeat visit. My child loved the pool, and despite the cold or rain, we enjoyed the indoor pool, which is spacious and clean, so we came back again. This time, my child received coins for the game center, so we used it as well. We wanted to try tennis and other activities but decided not to since the Diamond Member benefit was only "for the second hour," which didn’t seem advantageous. The Room this time was spacious and comfortable. The meals were buffet-style, and we enjoyed the drinks included in the Diamond Member benefits. I think improving traffic flow would be helpful. We’ll visit again. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Enjoy the sunset and sunrise, relax in the Onsen, and feel rejuvenated.

    It was a business-related stay, but the weather was great throughout, and I enjoyed both the sunset and sunrise from my room, which brought me happiness. The onsen was of very high quality with a perfect temperature, offering a simple yet excellent bathing experience. Both the dinner and breakfast buffet were delicious, but the freshly baked croissants at breakfast were so good that I ended up eating three of them.

    This was my second s...

    This was my second stay. I had a great experience with my mother last time, so this time I came with my best friend. Upon arrival, we relaxed in the lounge with coffee. After heading to the Room, my friend started feeling nauseous and dizzy. Despite resting for several hours, she couldn’t recover enough to get up, so we had to cancel our dinner-included Plan. When consulting with staff, they mentioned that only heavier meals like pasta could be provided through room service. Eventually, after signing a consent form of sorts, they brought us some bread from the buffet. However, when feeling unwell, it’s difficult to eat things like pasta or bread. While I understand it was our situation that led to canceling dinner and don’t hold it against them entirely, I feel offering lighter options such as water or something simple like jelly drinks would have been more considerate. By the next morning her condition improved enough for breakfast. Since there may be other guests who fall ill during their stay as well, reconsidering how such situations are handled would be greatly appreciated—especially from a healthcare professional's perspective!

    Even in winter, you can use the pool on the 1st floor for a good workout and then relax both body and mind at the Onsen on the 3rd floor. It's a perfect place to unwind.

    Family Trips with Dogs

    The view from the Room was excellent. There was a slight odor in the Room. Having tatami mats was a nice touch. Since we had a dog, having dinner on the terrace was very helpful, but it was a bit cold, so we used a heater. The lighting was slightly dim and made it hard to see, which was unfortunate. The food was delicious. The bath locker with a dial lock felt inconvenient; it might be challenging for elderly guests. I think it's great that children can enjoy playing in the pool and other areas. It’s disappointing that dogs are not allowed in sports Facilities even when using carts, making it hard for families to enjoy together. However, being able to take walks with our dog was nice.

    A wonderful Hotel that is accessible and friendly for people with disabilities.

    As someone with a physical disability who walks with a cane, I felt surrounded by kindness during my stay. Thank you so much. At check-in, a chair was provided, allowing me to sit while completing the process, which was very helpful. Although I arrived slightly earlier than the check-in time, I was kindly accommodated and allowed to enter my Room. For meals, I was guided to a seat that was easy to sit in and conveniently located for accessing the food. I felt hospitality and kindness from all the staff. I am truly grateful for this wonderful Hotel.

    Thank you for addressing previous requests by posting a sign that says "Please refrain from conversations" in the sauna. I am grateful for the overall comfortable experience. This is truly a wonderful Hotel where the Facility, services, and every aspect reflect the excellence expected from Hilton. With my only concern resolved, I am extremely satisfied. Thank you very much. That said, during this visit, there was one instance where two elderly women were discussing topics such as "wanting to buy shoes but struggling with athlete's foot" and "having a persistent cough." While health is often a common topic among older individuals, discussing athlete's foot in a barefoot sauna environment is less than ideal. My request to prohibit conversations was not only due to concerns about noise and potential infections but also because of the nature of conversations that are not pleasant to overhear. While it may be difficult for the Hotel to restrict such users, I believe that enforcing a strict no-conversation policy in the sauna could further contribute to maintaining Hilton's esteemed reputation.

    I had a very relaxing time.

    I stayed with a friend of 50 years. The Room was spacious and more than sufficient for four people. The staff kindly and politely answered all our questions, even for us in our later years. Using IKYU, we enjoyed the welcome drink at the lounge and the drink service during dinner, which were delightful services. Both dinner and breakfast were buffets; however, the variety of dishes at dinner was less than before, leaving us somewhat unsatisfied. On the other hand, breakfast had a wide selection and was very satisfying. The public bath locker settings were difficult to understand, and the explanation text was small, so it took time to get into the bath as we had to ask others around for help. None of us could set up Wi-Fi on our devices; when we went to reception for assistance, they informed us that only one person with Hilton membership could connect. This was disappointing as we assumed it would be possible at any Hotel. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay; we stayed until just before check-out time. We look forward to staying again in the future. Thank you very much!

    I felt relaxed.

    It was my first stay, but the accommodation was spacious, and with a 12:00 checkout, I was able to relax. At check-in, I mentioned that the reserved room felt small, and I was informed that a larger room was available, so I decided to change. Upgrading not only gave me a larger room but also access to the serene Ocean Lounge (both the desserts and wine were delicious), so I’m really glad I changed the plan. I also loved the music and interior design throughout the accommodation. The onsen was convenient as I could check the crowd status on my smartphone, and I could go directly from the pool wearing a bathrobe, which was very comfortable. The accommodation was impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly kind, making my one-night stay very relaxing. I stayed with my husband in September and had such a great experience that I’ve made a reservation for November with my daughter, and I’m already looking forward to it!

    So close!

    We requested a buffet dinner in addition to the breakfast-included Plan, but unfortunately, the amount of food prepared was limited, possibly due to adjustments for the number of guests, and there were no additional servings. Breakfast was perfectly sufficient and well-prepared, so this aspect was disappointing. It would have been nice if amenities like lotion were provided since I forgot to bring my own, but there were none available. The bed size felt too small as it was a single; a semi-double size would have been more comfortable. Having a bar by the poolside would enhance the experience for adults and elevate the atmosphere.

    4th stay

    We visited this time to celebrate our younger son's birthday. Our older son, who has a significant age gap, joined us as well, and the variety of activities ensured that the entire family could enjoy themselves. We experienced mini-golf and swimming in a location surrounded by the great nature of Odawara. Our older son was thrilled to use the gym for strength training. The restaurant offered carefully selected beverages, and we enjoyed a high-quality buffet meal along with a deliciously large birthday shortcake for the celebration. The reasons we keep coming back here are its convenient access from Tokyo despite being in such a magnificent natural setting, its family-friendly environment where children can have fun without feeling rushed due to time restrictions at facilities, and its ability to provide adults with an elegant and relaxing stay while ensuring comfort for families. The staff members are courteous, with some standing out as exceptionally wonderful individuals who make us feel confident about returning again and again because of their presence. We look forward to visiting again soon—thank you very much!

    I like Hilton.

    We stayed as a group of four, including our 5th and 3rd-grade grandchildren, along with Grandpa and Grandma. The kids were thrilled with the view from the 11th floor and the pool. I personally loved the well-maintained garden that blends naturally with the mountain scenery, as well as the warm yet unobtrusive hospitality. It’s always impressive here. The food exceeded buffet standards, and even their parents thanked us for taking them to such a wonderful place. Thank you very much!

    A hotel perfect for family enjoyment!

    The best hotel near Tokyo for family enjoyment. Hilton is a hotel you can enjoy in any country! The meals are very satisfying. Especially at Hilton Odawara, the buffet-style breakfast and dinner offer a wide variety of kids' menus, making it enjoyable for three generations! It’s a "family-friendly resort hotel" that you can enjoy within a short time from Tokyo. Next time, we plan to stay with the whole family! The staff at Hilton Hotel provide first-class service, so you can trust them with peace of mind. We recommend using the hotel's dedicated shuttle bus from JR "Nebukawa Station," which takes about 7 minutes to reach the hotel. During busy periods, taking a taxi from Odawara may take over 30 minutes due to heavy traffic merging from Seisho Bypass.

    The staff's service is excellent.

    This was my first time staying here, and the front desk staff provided excellent service. The cleaning staff, restaurant team, game corner attendants, and shop staff were all very friendly and accommodating, making our stay extremely pleasant. We enjoyed the buffet for both breakfast and dinner, with dinner being a particular favorite. There were so many delicious options that we ended up completely full. While seafood lovers might find it lacking in variety, our family was thrilled with the wide selection of carefully prepared dishes. Both Japanese and Western cuisines were delightful. The Room had an ocean view with a great view overall and was very clean. However, one concern was that the scent of the room amenities was too strong for us to use comfortably. We used some items we brought along but noticed that hand soap or bar soap wasn’t available at the shop; next time, we’ll bring our own. Other than that minor issue, there were plenty of enjoyable facilities like a kids' space and a pool. Our family loved it here so much that we look forward to visiting again!

    Unfortunately.

    I made a reservation thinking I could have fun and relax, but upon arrival, the foreign male staff member at check-in spoke in a condescending manner and did not provide sufficient explanations. Later, I received the IKYU Diamond Member benefits. Additionally, the plan I had reserved was not included, and I had to inquire about it myself to get it addressed. Fortunately, the staff from the amusements team who assisted me were very kind. Hilton, while I've stayed at various accommodations of yours before, this experience was truly disappointing. The dinner was at a level I'd never want to repeat; however, breakfast was good.
