    The staff’s attentiv...

    The staff’s attentiveness I used a wheelchair, and I truly appreciated how kindly they assisted me. My mother is very grateful. Thank you to all the staff. The meals were absolutely delicious. I would love to visit again.

    A Regular Retreat for Relaxation

    The new Sakuraden is wonderful and very relaxing. I enjoyed a little alcohol during the complimentary drinks in the evening, and the delicious dinner afterward feels a bit indulgent but really helps melt away everyday fatigue. Dinner is excellent, and the staff’s explanations are polite and easy to understand. However, I was somewhat disappointed with breakfast the next morning. The dining area is a private room with a view of the courtyard, which has a lovely atmosphere, but the boxed meal itself was not particularly impressive. That may be because dinner was so outstanding. In particular, the cookies and quarter-cut doughnuts in the dessert box were not appealing. The buffet used by guests other than Sakuraden might be better since you can choose what you like. Still, overall this is an excellent Accommodation that I would like to make my regular place to stay. I have written these honest comments despite how wonderful it is. I will visit again soon and am looking forward to it.

    This is my fourth visit.

    I stayed here three months ago, and this time I visited with a friend for the first time. Since it was for two people this time, we chose a slightly better room with access to the Fujidono garden, allowing us to enjoy the view of the garden all day and feel truly relaxed. The meals were as delicious as always. Everything was wonderful, and every visit makes me think about when I can come back next. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Like a private villa

    This was our first stay at the accommodation. We enjoyed a blissful time as if we were staying in a private villa, with access to the audio room for two hours for our family of four. The room was clean, and items like beer in the refrigerator were complimentary. Dinner was served in a private room, allowing us to relax while dining. The portions were modest but just right for us, and the meat was especially delicious. Breakfast was a buffet, and all the guests were quiet and respectful, making it a calm dining experience. It became a wonderful memory for our family. Thank you very much!

    Everything was perfect!

    I chose this accommodation for a trip with my mother and her friend, as I thought a relaxing stay at a nice accommodation would be better than sightseeing for the two elderly travelers. From the moment we arrived by shuttle service, all three of us were deeply impressed. The building, service, room, meals, and bath were all excellent. What made it even more special was the dedication and thoughtfulness of the staff. We truly had a fulfilling and wonderful time. Thank you so much! We definitely want to visit again.

    It became the best memory.

    We stayed as a family to celebrate our father's 80th birthday. The most outstanding part of our stay was the staff's constant smiles and kindness, which truly showed their attentiveness. The serene atmosphere and tranquility of Shizuoka were perfectly embodied here. The dinner was perfectly balanced in terms of ingredients, portions, and taste—it was absolutely delicious. We opted for a celebratory dessert plate with fireworks on it, which made for a great photo memory with our father. The ambiance and spaciousness of the seating area were also exceptional. Before the stay, my father had been unwell and bedridden for a month, leading to some loss of strength. However, he later shared that while he had played golf at Katsuragi Golf many times in the past (which we didn’t know), he had never stayed at this accommodation but always wanted to try it out. He enjoyed sitting in the garden-view room with my mother, sipping tea while reflecting on life together as they admired the view outside. He also felt comfortable taking a bath with his son nearby and seemed to have spent an enjoyable time overall. Surprisingly, my mother loved it even more—she expressed her desire to return here for her own celebration next time! Her enthusiasm was evident throughout our stay. Breakfast offered an impressive variety that amazed us all. The garden view from the breakfast table in the morning was stunning; time flew by as we enjoyed it together. Our father truly appreciated this celebration event. Although we live far away in Kanto, choosing this place turned out to be an excellent decision. Kita no Maru has become a hotel we would love to visit again!

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    Next time, I would like to play at Katsuragi Golf Course during the warm season and stay overnight. As it is a Yamaha accommodation, the atmosphere was unique with beautiful grand piano melodies and classical music. I also enjoyed the audio room, even though it was only for an hour. I wish I had brought some CDs or records. The bath was relaxing as well. Thank you very much!

    A friend recommended...

    A friend recommended this place, and it was my first time staying here. We drove, and after turning before the convenience store, the road felt so long and remote that I started to worry—wondering if there really was an Accommodation ahead... From the parking area to the entrance, there is a stone-paved path, and once we stepped through the front door, we received hospitality that was more than generous—just as my friend had told us. Breakfast in particular was outstanding; you could tell each dish had been carefully prepared. We were also able to enjoy it gracefully while looking out at the garden—it was delicious. (Dinner was wonderful as well.) The main purpose of this trip was to use the YAMAHA piano and the audio room. Since my wife is a piano teacher, seeing her play so happily made me feel truly glad we came. It was only a one-day stay, but we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The only reasons it wasn’t a perfect score were that the bath wasn’t an Onsen, and it felt quite far from our Room to reach it after stepping out. Up the stairs, up again, then down next... Was I the only one who found it inconvenient? We were able to spend an elegant time here.

    The impact of limited staff is noticeable.

    The impact of staff shortages? Attention to detail seems lacking, which is noticeable to guests. Breakfast has also changed to a full buffet style, becoming more standard. The delightful experience of having meals served as before is gone—disappointing! Additionally, the temperature of the open-air bath is too high, making it difficult to relax. It would be appreciated if the temperature settings could be reviewed. The facility itself has charm and is wonderful. With this setup and excellent hospitality, it could become a regular accommodation worth visiting repeatedly. Looking forward to the next visit!

    The audio system in Umedono is amazing!

    Katsuragi Kitano-maru: 2 Nights, 3 Days @Akari

    Stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with my elderly mother at "Akari," a Room with an open-air bath. The meals were incredibly delicious, with just the right portions, making it a highly satisfying stay. We reserved the audio room and enjoyed our favorite Fujii Kaze CD at full volume without worrying about noise. The Room's hairdryer and iron were high-end, and we appreciated the complimentary drinks like champagne and beer available in the Room. Next time, I’d love to enjoy golf with my husband as well!

    An Accommodation You'll Want to Visit Again

    The expansive grounds are well-maintained, offering a relaxing atmosphere with greenery and the sound of birds. Both breakfast and dinner were delightful, with each dish being exceptionally delicious. The bath was bright and clean; while it wasn't an onsen, I enjoyed multiple visits. The audio room's acoustics were impressive, delivering outstanding sound quality—though I used it for one hour this time, I plan to reserve it for two hours next time. Above all, the professionalism of the staff left a lasting impression. Thanks to them, my stay was truly rejuvenating both physically and mentally. I look forward to visiting again!

    Delicious Meals and Relaxing Moments

    I had the opportunity to play on the Katsuragi Course and stayed at Kita no Maru for the first time. The gate, resembling a mansion often seen on TV, was exciting. The entrance hall featured impressive beams and had a solid, majestic feel. After checking in, I went for a stroll around the property. The lawn was beautifully maintained, and Kita no Maru illuminated by the sunset was stunningly beautiful. The meals were delicious with well-balanced flavors that brought out the taste of each ingredient. Every course was delightful. I look forward to coming back next time to enjoy golf and spend some relaxing moments again.

    Fully satisfied with the audio room.

    The spaciousness was astonishing. I used the audio room and was thoroughly satisfied, as I could listen to my favorite songs at a volume and sound quality that would be impossible at home. After visiting the Yamaha Kakegawa Factory, I took a taxi to get here. It seems that the factory is almost on the route of the shuttle service from Kakegawa Station, so it would have been appreciated if there were some coordination for this. My rating for service is slightly reduced due to this point.

At Kita no Maru, it’s not just about having a place to sleep—the course dinner is exceptional. The presentation, texture, and taste are all highly satisfying. The highlight of this accommodation is the reservation-only audio room. Once used as a villa or guesthouse by successive Yamaha Group presidents, it now serves as an audio room where you can enjoy Yamaha's top-tier amplifiers and speakers. While Bluetooth connection with iPhones isn’t available—which might feel slightly inconvenient in today’s age—there are CDs and LPs available for rent, so you can come empty-handed without worry. Located away from guest rooms, you can enjoy music at higher volumes here—a rare treat compared to what’s possible in studios or concert halls in Tokyo. Time flies as you immerse yourself; before you know it, an hour has passed. Adjacent to the shop within the accommodation is a golf course offering popular curry dishes along with various souvenirs—a delightful addition. If you're hesitating about visiting—don’t!     The Best Hotel

    A refined accommodation blending tradition and sophistication. From the welcome drink to the exquisite meals, everything was exceptional. The private piano experience at Umeden was the epitome of luxury—playing Yamaha's finest piano as much as you like and enjoying Yamaha's top-quality stereo system was truly remarkable. Listening to MISHA at full volume gave me goosebumps with its incredible sound quality! During our stay, the soothing sound of wind chimes resonating throughout the hotel provided a truly relaxing atmosphere. The staff were all kind, smiling, and attentive in their service. I am deeply grateful for such a wonderful experience and would love to return again.

    An accommodation that truly made me glad I visited.

    From the moment we stepped onto the property until being guided to our room, we were captivated by the stunning architecture and gardens. It was far more impressive than any photos or videos could convey, making it a truly worthwhile accommodation. The staff at the front desk and restaurant provided exceptionally pleasant service, and the level of care offered at this price was astonishing. Dinner reservations could be made in 15-minute intervals, and both breakfast and dinner were perfectly portioned, delicious meals. Additional thoughtful services included complimentary drinks such as juice, tea, beer in the in-room refrigerator (two bottles of water per person), a coffee/tea server, towels readily available at the onsen for hands-free convenience, abundant amenities, and permission to wear indoor attire with sturdy slippers to dining areas. The only slight disappointment was that the women’s onsen did not feature a "Yukura" bath; alternating access between morning and evening would have been ideal. Despite its distance from us—something that had made us hesitate for years—we regretted not visiting sooner as every corner of this accommodation exuded charm. Our family thoroughly enjoyed exploring its beautiful spaces and gardens. Next time we plan to stay in a room facing the garden during another season!

    Katsuragi Kitanomaru

    The Hotel, reconstructed from traditional Japanese houses, exceeded my expectations with the number of buildings relocated. As someone deeply interested in architecture, I found the stay incredibly enjoyable. The property is quite expansive, and walking through the gardens and connecting corridors was a delightful experience. These buildings were relocated by Yamaha's president as a passion project, and the extravagant investment truly creates a luxurious atmosphere that leaves an impression. The unique location includes an adjacent golf course, making it an interesting spot to visit despite not being in a typical tourist area—truly a hidden gem of a Hotel. While I selfishly hope it doesn't become too popular, I felt that the experience was exceptionally luxurious for its price. I look forward to having another opportunity to visit again someday.

    A Trip to Celebrate My Wife's 60th Birthday

    The accommodation, meals, and staff service were all very satisfying. My spouse and I stayed together, and my wife particularly enjoyed the bath, so we are considering staying again. The staff's passion for Kita no Maru and Katsuragi Golf Club was evident, making our stay very pleasant. We stayed for one night with two rounds of golf, and the caddy's excellent service, the delicious lunch buffet, and the well-maintained course left a great impression on us.     An accommodation that always feels pleasant to stay at.

    I loved the view from the Room on the first floor of Fujidono and the serene design of the Room. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were incredibly delicious, and I enjoyed not only the food but also the tableware and scenery as part of the experience. The bath was impeccably clean, making every moment in this space truly pleasant. The only disappointment was that there is no longer a gender-swapping system for baths. I couldn't enjoy my favorite large tub-style stone bath or semi-open-air bath this time. Since it was raining during my stay, I couldn't use the women-only open-air bath due to getting wet and ended up using only indoor baths. If there had been a swapping system, I could have enjoyed even the square semi-open-air bath... Hopefully, someday they will bring back that system again!

    Anniversary Trip

    The warm hospitality I experienced during my previous stay left a lasting impression, so this time I chose to stay here with my parents for a celebratory trip. We enjoyed a wonderful time in the serene atmosphere, with delicious cuisine and heartfelt service.     Building, Onsen, clean rooms, wonderful accommodation

    I stayed for the first time for two nights (with breakfast) due to an event at Ecopa. Even though I returned to the accommodation very late on both days, I was warmly accommodated. I was deeply impressed by the smiles and high hospitality of all the staff, and I look forward to enjoying a more leisurely stay when I visit again.

    Stayed in the accommodation to match the wisteria season.

    I heard that the wisteria trellis here is very beautiful during my previous stay, so I was looking forward to visiting this year. At the time of my initial reservation, the flowers had not yet bloomed, so I changed the reservation to match their blooming period. The view of the wisteria from the room was absolutely stunning. I thoroughly enjoyed them in the morning, afternoon, and evening. This accommodation always impresses me with its staff's exceptional hospitality whenever I visit. The meals were delicious, and even the head chef personally came to greet us, making this stay another unforgettable experience. Thank you very much!

    Traditional Japanese Architecture Ryokan

    We are an elderly couple who love Onsen, and we visited in late April. We were impressed by the vast natural surroundings, the beautiful garden, and the stunning wisteria trellis. The traditional Japanese architecture of the Ryokan left a deep impression on us, with its black-polished beams and pillars believed to be from old gassho-style houses, as well as details like lintels showing marks of "chouna" carving. It was touching to see efforts to preserve Japan's traditional architectural style. Additionally, we were delighted by the high quality of the cuisine and thoroughly enjoyed our meals.     Completely satisfied for the second time

    The excellent service and cuisine I experienced during my first visit in February last year left a lasting impression, and I had been looking forward to returning. When I learned that the Sakura Hall, where I stayed last year, had reopened after renovations in April, I decided to visit again immediately. As with my previous stay, the warm yet professional hospitality from the moment of arrival heightened my expectations for this visit. The room still carried a fresh scent of newness while retaining its original beams; it was transformed into an exceptionally comfortable space blending traditional elements with modern features such as updated lighting and state-of-the-art facilities in the bathroom area. Notably, the room included a stone sauna—a rare feature among accommodations—where we could relax deeply while listening to Yamaha's soothing healing music and sweat out toxins thoroughly. My entire family became enamored with it and used it multiple times during our stay. However, one minor inconvenience was that there was a powder room between the stone sauna and outdoor bath but no amenities or hairdryer there; these were located in another powder room at the back of the bedroom, which felt slightly less convenient to use. Both dinner and breakfast were as delicious as before with just-right portions that left us fully satisfied. Blessed with good weather on both days of our stay, we were able to immerse ourselves in an extraordinary experience while refreshing both body and mind thoroughly. Thank you for providing such a wonderful trip once again! We look forward to visiting again during another season!
