    This is my favorite club lounge.

    This was my third stay. These days, this is my favorite place to stay when I’m in Tokyo. The club lounge has many international guests, yet it’s very quiet and relaxing, so you can truly unwind at a leisurely pace. I almost forgot it was the Obon holiday period. All of the food served was refined, and they even had my favorite smoked salmon—I was delighted. Some of the staff remembered me and provided very attentive service. I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much.

    The location offers excellent transportation access, and you can see how Shinagawa is changing each time you visit.

    I stayed at this Hotel because of its convenient transportation access and because my relatives live near Shinagawa. This was my third time using the club room, and the staff were excellent; I was also very satisfied with the carefully selected food offerings. Each visit, it’s enjoyable to see how Shinagawa’s scenery continues to change. Unfortunately, only the very tip of Tokyo Tower is now visible, but watching the trains and Shinkansen moving back and forth like a diorama is one of the reasons this Hotel is worth staying at. I would gladly stay here again when I visit Tokyo.

    How’s the value for money?

    The location was excellent, and I had a satisfying stay; the staff were also attentive and professional. It seemed there was a wedding, so the lobby was noisy. I’m not sure the Room size matches the price—though that seems to be the case with most Hotels in Tokyo.

    A Comfortable Stay

    It was very convenient, close to Shinagawa Station. This time we stayed in a Club InterContinental Room, so we should have been able to check in at the lounge, but they only recommended afternoon tea and forgot to complete the check-in procedure. I had emailed in advance to ask whether early check-in might be possible (as far as available), but there was no mention of it, and I felt a bit more consideration would have been appreciated. That said, we were assigned a bright Room with a window in the bathroom, and we had a comfortable stay. I would love to see again the two cheerful lounge staff members who kindly took the time to chat with us despite being busy. For breakfast, we chose the restaurant, but there were times when Japanese was not understood (English was fine, so it wasn’t a major issue). However, when I ordered an egg-white omelet, it turned out to be simply cooked egg whites (like sunny-side up without the yolk), which was disappointing. I added mushrooms and bacon myself, but it wasn’t an omelet as expected. Next time, I plan to have breakfast at the lounge as well.

    I visited during a slightly late New Year holiday. The view from the Club Lounge was great, and the staff's attentive service allowed me to relax and enjoy my stay. The gym being open 24 hours was convenient, and I had a refreshing workout while basking in the morning sunlight. However, there were some issues with cleanliness in the Room. The bottom of one glass had what seemed like detergent residue, so I requested a replacement. Later, when having tea, I noticed that the inside of the teacup felt rough and ended up washing it myself before use. This was disappointing for such a good Hotel. Due to its location, many international guests stay here, so there are also many foreign staff members; however, communication occasionally felt challenging. There weren’t many takeout options available either—when I asked nearby staff for recommendations, it wasn’t very clear in the end. As a result, I purchased two original teas that were available on-site instead.

    Kind and attentive service even during busy periods

    I stayed during the New Year. I arrived earlier than the check-in time and was planning to leave my luggage and pass the time, but they kindly arranged for an early check-in, which was very helpful. The room was bright, and the Facility was new, allowing me to have a comfortable stay. It is a Hotel I would like to use again.

    The front desk service is extremely poor. Double charges were applied.

    Front desk service was disappointing. I used to like Strings Hotel since the ANA days, but Japanese customers might feel neglected. During check-out, I almost got double-charged, and the staff's unwillingness to admit their mistake was frustrating.

    Exceptional Hospitality

    The front desk and club lounge staff provided exceptional hospitality, making our stay very pleasant. Our 4-year-old daughter, who has stayed at similar accommodations about 10 times a year, was so impressed by the hotel staff's service that she wanted to express her gratitude for the first time and even wrote a thank-you letter. The room cleaning, towel quality, amenities, and breakfast were all highly satisfactory. What we found disappointing was the absence of a humidifier in the room and the noise from trains. Perhaps we were intentionally assigned a room on the railway side because we had a child with us; however, even on the 32nd floor, the train noise was loud enough to wake us up (though it wasn’t bothersome during daytime hours).

    Stable IHG quality, with a beautiful lobby lounge, approach to the Room, and the Room itself—all were wonderful. Overall, it was very comfortable. Since I wanted to keep meals outside of meetings simple and nearby, I used the lobby lounge for breakfast and lunch. As I mentioned before about breakfast at IHG Osaka... their perfectly curated selection has always been my favorite. The Japanese dishes in small portions, salads, yogurt—everything matched my usual breakfast preferences and was enjoyable. The dim sum and soup were particularly delicious. For lunch, the American Club Sandwich was an authentic sandwich with a unique taste—not ordinary—and very tasty. During the holiday season, there was live violin duo music that added a soothing touch to the experience. (Side note: For IKYU Diamond members, breakfast is complimentary—a rare benefit these days that adds significant value to their excellent service.) The higher proportion of Western business travelers among IHG users creates a calm atmosphere that provides reassurance—another reason for its high points in my book. Each staff member exuded professionalism and grace—they were wonderful. Thank you!

    Cleanliness...

    The hotel offers excellent access from the station, great facilities, outstanding service, and an incredibly delicious breakfast. However, there were some issues: the humidifier's water tank and filter had mold, and the bath pillow in the bathroom (possibly reused?) also had mold (black spots). I would love to continue using this hotel in the future if these issues are addressed.

    What a Hotel?!

    At check-in, a female staff member silently placed a cup and what seemed to be a towel on the reception counter without any explanation or encouragement. There was no offer to assist with luggage, even when guests were carrying heavy bags. The Room features a master switch similar to those in Business Hotels, which must be turned on for the lights to work—this was not explained beforehand, nor was there any guidance provided to the Room. The toilet flush is manual, and the curtains let in sunlight in the morning, making it difficult for the room to stay dark. Additionally, train noises can be heard, making restful sleep challenging. At checkout, when asked for someone from yesterday's interaction using their business card as reference, they did not return the card and avoided coming out themselves. When requested again for its return at checkout time, it was reluctantly handed back by another manager with one hand. This reflects an attitude of withholding guests' belongings unless explicitly demanded back.

    I planned to arrive earlier than usual just to drop off my luggage, but I was able to complete the check-in process, and since the Room was ready, I could enjoy using the Room for a longer time. Thank you very much.

    It was a wonderful stay.

    I stayed on the club floor with my sister for my anniversary. It was my second time, and since it was during summer vacation, I thought the lounge might be very lively. However, both foreign and Japanese guests were very quiet, allowing us to forget the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a peaceful stay. The beautifully arranged sweets we received for our anniversary were so lovely that they felt almost too nice to eat. The afternoon tea and food were absolutely delicious. Breakfast offered various choices and was also very tasty. This has become my favorite Hotel. Thank you so much! I will visit again.

    It feels relaxing.

    I stayed in a room with club lounge access, and it was a very relaxing experience. The food was exceptionally delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect. The room was also excellent, making it an incredibly satisfying stay.

    Highly satisfied

    We stayed for two nights. All three days were very hot, but instead of overdoing sightseeing, we relaxed at the Hotel and enjoyed a rewarding trip beyond our expectations. We used the lounge, and the afternoon tea and breakfast were particularly wonderful, allowing us to fully enjoy our time. The Facility rating is 4 because I felt that a cold toilet seat might be a bit tough during winter. It might just be that I couldn't find how to adjust it. Other than that, everything was perfect and we were very satisfied. Thank you very much!

    A Wonderful Stay

    I returned for another stay as my previous experience was excellent and convenient. The food presentation in the lounge and the attentive service provided by the staff were truly outstanding. I particularly enjoy the breakfast here, and this time I tried a new menu item, which was absolutely delicious. I look forward to ordering it again on my next visit.     Truly comfortable

    One of my regular accommodations, I was very satisfied with the Diamond benefits such as breakfast service and upgrades, along with attention to detailed customization. It is easy to travel by train from the airport or to the city center, and if plans are clear, you can often stay at a surprisingly affordable rate with an advance reservation. It is always my top choice for accommodation in Tokyo whenever possible.

    Convenient and delicious breakfast

    The staff were very kind and helpful. The direct connection to Shinagawa Station is extremely convenient and the biggest advantage. Breakfast was delicious and overall satisfactory, but it needs to be a bit more affordable for business trips. (This time, I managed to use it thanks to coupons, etc.)

    When I entered the R...

    When I entered the Room in the evening, I found the sound of trains quite loud. However, when I raised the blinds, I could see Shinkansen below, Keikyu in the distance, and various lines like Yamanote Line, Keihin-Tohoku Line, and Utsunomiya Line in between. Although I'm not a railway enthusiast, it was exciting to watch. During hours when Shinkansen is not running, it was quiet and allowed for a good night's rest. The Club Lounge offered a wide variety of alcoholic beverages to enjoy along with delicious snacks. For breakfast, I chose Japanese cuisine which was also excellent. Thanks to the smart service from all staff members, I had a relaxing stay. The front desk staff provided exceptional service as well. This has become a Hotel I'd love to stay at again if given another opportunity. By the way, amenities were bal d’afrique.

    I love this Hotel.

    A wonderful Hotel in Shinagawa offering spacious and luxurious Rooms. The restaurant, with its amazing ambiance, seems to have a new chef who attentively observes guests from the morning—raising expectations for future dishes. Breakfast was excellent. In the evening, we enjoyed a delicious all-you-can-drink course meal. During our previous stay, we were upgraded to a better Room, and the staff's service was exceptional. There are quite a few foreign staff members as well, many of whom are very attentive and thoughtful. The welcome drink was also delightful. Thank you once again for this experience. It became a precious time spent in an extraordinary space away from home.

    Two Days of Complete Satisfaction

    Since it was a weekday stay, the atmosphere was more relaxed compared to weekends. Starting with a welcome drink of champagne, everything until checkout was absolutely satisfying. In the lounge, the staff answered our questions politely, and even though I had visited multiple times before, I learned new things. The afternoon tea sweets were inspired by summer festivals (as mentioned on the website), which made it even more enjoyable. I also enjoyed TWG and original teas. During cocktail time, we savored six dishes provided by various restaurants along with our favorite salmon and Caprese from the buffet table while enjoying drinks. The lounge was less crowded due to being a weekday, and drink refills were offered at just the right timing. The room had windows on two sides providing an open feel, and from the couch sofa, we could watch airplanes passing overhead (from 3 PM to 7 PM), which lifted our spirits. My friend fully enjoyed their stay by using the gym both days as well. This time we used coupons for a great deal on accommodation and truly had an amazing time. We will definitely visit again!

    I love breakfast!

    Thank you for your continued support. I am a big fan of club lounges, and I absolutely love the Eggs Benedict served at InterContinental's breakfast, which is why I keep coming back. My friend visiting from Kansai also enjoyed lying on the bed in the guest room, saying, "It feels like floating in the sky." I look forward to visiting again.

    It was our second time.

    Stayed in a Club Room I decided to stay again as my first experience wasn’t bad, but... During check-in at the lounge, there was a lack of explanation. Was it due to inexperience? Basic information such as check-out time confirmation, turndown service availability, and complimentary minibar details were not provided. The lounge offers six small appetizers, but other buffet items are mostly "dry snacks" and "vegetable salads," with no elaborate dishes. I also feel that ending cocktail time at 7:30 PM is too early. It seemed like there weren’t enough staff in the lounge; no one was around to take drink orders. In the end, I had to call out “Excuse me!” to get attention from staff in the back. The room service meat dishes were extremely tough—full of sinew and nearly impossible to chew. Both dishes I ordered were like this despite being labeled as “Chef’s Recommendation.” Honestly, it was disappointing enough that I felt they should offer a refund. Unfortunately, I forgot to mention this during checkout and regret it now. At checkout, they didn’t provide me with an invoice copy even though I declined a receipt—I still think an invoice copy should be given regardless. Good points: Complimentary drinks in the room are available and replenished for multiple night stays. Overall impression: This time left much to be desired. The quality of service seems inconsistent depending on which staff member assists you. The lack of attentiveness in the club lounge is unacceptable. In terms of proactive service or thoughtfulness—hallmarks of Japanese hospitality—it falls far short compared to domestic hotels. I don’t usually write reviews but felt compelled this time due to my experience here.

    Breakfast

    This hotel offers an excellent breakfast, which we absolutely love. The salmon is large and delicious, and there is a wide variety of fresh drinks, making for a very satisfying start to the day. The room, bathroom, and bed are all satisfactory. The staff are polite and greet us properly. It has become our regular accommodation as a couple.

    A Pleasant Stay

    I recently visited after a long time. I stayed in the Club King Room, and compared to the View Bath Room, it felt much more spacious. The large windows provided a sense of openness, and the facilities were well-equipped, allowing for a very comfortable stay. The Club Lounge was also wonderful with excellent service and delightful food and beverages, including alcohol. I especially noticed an improvement in the variety of dishes offered during cocktail hour buffets. For breakfast, there were more main dish options to choose from, making each visit even more enjoyable. This is truly a lovely Hotel that I would love to visit again!
