    Stunning View

    Thanks to the spring sale, we enjoyed an affordable stay. The beautiful exterior, reminiscent of a resort in the South of France, made us excited upon arrival. We arrived much earlier than planned and intended to explore the park until check-in time. When we asked for a map at the front desk, they kindly allowed us into our room early. The strawberry parfait recommended by the staff who showed us to our room was exquisite. We strolled through the spacious park, stopping by various shops and purchasing grape juice along the way. The showerheads and hairdryers in the Onsen's large public bath were from ReFa, which was a pleasant surprise. Every dish in the French course meal was delicious, and my husband seemed to enjoy his wine as well. Although it rained and we gave up on seeing night views, I woke up during the night to find an incredible view outside my window. When I woke up early again in the morning for another look outside, clouds or mist quickly enveloped everything into pure white over town scenery below! Before breakfast on terrace outdoors with coffee felt so relaxing—and even Mt.Fuji peeked out briefly! Breakfast itself became more enjoyable while gazing at Mt.Fuji too! From Onsen baths & meals served warmly alongside attentive staff hospitality combined breathtaking sceneries altogether made this trip fulfilling; bringing home some wine added extra joyful memories indeed!

    I had a relaxing time.

    Although it was winter and the Fruit Park felt barren with not much to see, it was peaceful and relaxing without any noisy crowds. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The room was spacious, offering a view of Mt. Fuji, though unfortunately, it was cloudy. The Onsen had towels readily available in the bath area, which was convenient. Additionally, the ReFa showerhead and hairdryer were a great touch for women. However, the outdoor bath water had a noticeable chlorine smell. All staff members were very polite and attentive. I hope to visit again during a warmer season!

    White Strawberry Parfait

    It was a same-day accommodation. I went because I wanted to try the white strawberry parfait. I relaxed in the onsen and had a great sleep in a comfortable room. Breakfast included my favorite cheese omelet. When I mentioned wanting the white strawberry parfait, they reserved a seat for me before checkout, allowing me to enjoy this weekend-only treat. It was fresh, juicy, and truly melted in my mouth—absolutely delicious and moving! I hope to have it again during this period. The staff's attentiveness was outstanding, and their smiles were truly healing. I would love to visit once a month. Thank you very much!

    Suitable for any situation, offering peace of mind.

    I planned a trip with my son on a whim and made the reservation the day before our stay. As a wine lover, I’ve visited Katsunuma and Kofu many times, but this was my first time staying here. With the trusted brand of Fujiya Hotel and numerous excellent reviews, I had no worries at all. However, when the hotel came into view, I was immediately impressed by its location! The sight of Kofu Basin and Mount Fuji as we walked from the parking lot to the hotel left us in awe! Even before entering the hotel, our excitement was at its peak! The view from our room and the wonderful meals lived up to their reputation. Above all, the staff provided service as refined as any renowned city hotel—it was truly outstanding. Thanks to them, we enjoyed an incredibly comfortable stay until check-out. Of course, we also indulged in their famous parfaits and have already decided to visit again next time! Next time will be with our whole family. Thank you very much!

    This is my fourth st...

    This is my fourth stay since the last time. I came to enjoy an onsen trip with my classmates. My partner was experiencing this hotel for the first time and joined me, enticed by the strawberry parfait. Despite it being a Sunday, we were blessed with good weather and spent an unexpectedly quiet night. We arrived early to enjoy the parfait and were pleasantly surprised to be allowed into our room ahead of schedule, receiving thoughtful hospitality from the start. The much-anticipated French dinner allowed us to escape daily hustle and bustle, letting time pass leisurely. Of course, the taste of the dishes was excellent; after much deliberation, we ended up enjoying Yamanashi wine and beer that perfectly matched our meal unexpectedly. The night view was stunning, leading us to a photo session with a tripod in hand for quite some time. Not only was the view from our window captivating but also each floor's corner scenery set up in elevator hall areas caught our eyes—plenty of Instagram-worthy spots! Since Japanese meals weren't served buffet-style, we could enjoy them calmly at leisure. To compensate for staff shortages? Or perhaps because it happened to be less crowded during this period? It felt refreshing seeing all staff members skillfully multitasking across various departments—a testament to both hotel ingenuity and their hard work. However, being located atop a mountain made it inconvenient without shuttle service for guests without cars; even if paid options existed beyond public buses offering round trips would be sincerely appreciated as well as needed urgently felt so strongly about this aspect! As one landmark within Fuefukigawa Fruit Park visible from JR trains or highways alike—a truly remarkable hotel—we hope it'll continue captivating us further while wishing opportunities arise again soon enough... With reluctance tugging at heartstrings upon departure left behind such cherished memories here once more!

    It was calm and relaxing, and I was able to take my time.

    The overall atmosphere was calm, and we were able to relax at a very leisurely pace. We also enjoyed the bath, the meals, and the wine server. Luckily, the weather was great and we had a perfect view of Mt. Fuji—of course, the scenery was amazing too. The long hallway was a bit noticeable (haha).

    Half Melon Parfait

    Always warmly welcomed, I absolutely love this Hotel. I came looking forward to the melon parfait, which was a limited-time offer until today. Half a melon with ice cream and nata de coco. But, oh my, the price was 7,700 yen! I thought, "Wow, that's expensive," but my husband ordered two, which surprised me a bit. The melon, of course, and the ice cream were so delicious that I finished it all in no time. The open-air bath with a view of Mt. Fuji, I even got to see Mt. Fuji turn pink at sunset. And the highlight of this Hotel, the night view is truly stunning, making me forget the cold. The morning view of Mt. Fuji is also spectacular. I stay at various Hotels, but I absolutely love the breakfast here. The cheese omelet is my favorite, along with mango juice, pumpkin potage, and carrot dressing salad. I love it all so much. The bread includes toast and croissants, and you can have seconds. Cinnamon apple jam, strawberry jam, both are absolutely delicious. I felt so relaxed and refreshed. After checking out, I enjoyed peach juice and grape juice. If I could, I would love to come here every month. Thank you very much.

    It was finally a family vacation, but the meals were terrible.

    The property is easily accessible from Yamanashi City Station, making it a good choice for a family trip by train. We decided to stay because the onsen seemed nice. We arrived at the beginning of the year, unsure whether to cancel as our 11-year-old son was having stomach issues. Although we informed them of his condition, there was no special consideration or care. There is a wine server in the lounge, but you have to buy snacks at the shop to enjoy with it. Unfortunately, the shop's selection didn't have much to pair with wine, which was disappointing. We chose French cuisine for dinner, but it was terrible. There was no standout dish, and it felt like there was no chef. It was puzzling why they served salmon, given Yamanashi has no sea, and why the fish dishes were so greasy. The kids' menu was full of typical greasy options like hamburgers, fries, and gratin, which they could hardly eat. My spouse and I have a policy of not leaving food, so we forced ourselves to eat, resulting in an uncomfortably full stomach and a very disappointing evening. It seems that choosing a property with extensive facilities led to a drop in food quality. As we value good meals, we feel we made the wrong choice. The onsen was pleasant, and the facility was spacious. Although it was raining when we arrived and we couldn't see the scenery, the view the next day was truly wonderful, and we were very satisfied in that regard.

    A Relaxing Year-End Trip

    I used it for a year-end trip for the first time in several years. It was snowing lightly upon arrival, but the cold was pleasant. I was able to relax with the room upgrade. Thank you. I opted for dinner and breakfast included. The meals were delicious and satisfying. I bought dried persimmons at a nearby shop on the way back, creating good memories. Thank you very much. I would like to visit again.

    Hotel I want to visit again

    We stayed with three generations. It is a comfortable hotel with a classic atmosphere. The meals and onsen were just right and satisfying. From the room, we could see the night view at night and Mt. Fuji in the morning, making our stay enjoyable. The room, although old, was well-cleaned and tidy. The shop had well-selected items, making shopping enjoyable. There was also a wide selection of wines. The natural attentiveness of the staff was particularly wonderful. It was a hotel that makes you want to visit again.

    Restaurant

    I like Italian food, so if available, I visit a city restaurant during my annual stay. Unfortunately, the Japanese set meals at the ryokan don't suit us as a couple, so we go to a Japanese restaurant in the city every time.

    Beautiful Mount Fuji and Japan's New Three Major Night Views

    We could enjoy a wonderful view from anywhere in the Hotel. The red Mt. Fuji illuminated by the sunset was particularly impressive. We only had breakfast (American breakfast), but as expected from Fujiya Hotel, we were fully satisfied. It was nice to be able to have refills of bread and coffee. I was very moved by the hospitality I felt from everyone I passed by. Using the drink voucher we received, we enjoyed a luxurious time drinking fruit juice at the cafe while gazing at Mt. Fuji. The large public bath was clean, and the sauna was pleasant. Bath towels and towels were available in the large public bath. It was very helpful not to have to bring them from the guest room, saving us that small hassle. However, they were slightly stiff, which might be tough for those with sensitive skin. Overall, we were very satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Mount Fuji was clearly visible.

    The location was excellent. Having lived abroad for a long time, I was moved to see the beautiful Mt. Fuji up close upon returning to Japan. The staff's response (greetings and guidance) was smooth and without any unpleasantness. However, there were a few instances where I wished for responses beyond the manual. It was not enjoyable to sample recommended wines in a cold and dark lounge. There should have been staff nearby, but there was no particular interaction. The next day, the fireplace was properly lit, which made me feel even more down about the difference. Given such a location, I think there are many foreign guests. I would like to see equal and easy-to-understand service. Greetings and guidance are a given. In the end, nothing surpasses the beauty of Mt. Fuji, and I was able to forget the small things and have a very good vacation.

The meal was rated 4 because the quantity of the meal provided felt small, and while the food was not bad, there was nothing particularly delicious.     It was great that you accommodated my request for wheelchair use and even changed to a barrier-free Room. However, it was disappointing that the Room we were guided to did not have a sofa. It's my reflection that I should have checked when I entered the Room.

    As expected of Fujiya Hotel

    This was my first time using it outside of Hakone. My husband's health suddenly deteriorated, and although we had to deal with various irregularities, the staff from each department were all very warm and wonderful, and I felt a great sense of hospitality that was kind and supportive. I was very impressed, as expected from the Fujiya Hotel Group. The amenities in the guest room and bathroom were also impeccable, so we were able to spend our time comfortably. If I had to say, the door next to the bed in the guest room was a bit difficult to open and close smoothly, and the bath temperature in the large public bath felt lukewarm both inside and outside. I would definitely like to use this Hotel again when my husband's health is better. I am truly grateful for the response of all the staff who were involved with us as a couple this time. Thank you very much.

    It was a good Hotel.

    The food was delicious, which was the best part. The weather was bad, so we couldn't go anywhere, but we were able to ride the small car running in the park. Since my companion had difficulty walking, we chose a Western-style room, but the room was small for the price and felt like a business hotel. In the future, as the number of elderly guests increases, I think it would be better to have more Western-style rooms than Japanese-style rooms, and it would be nice if the Western-style rooms were a bit more spacious (although I think it can't be changed structurally). However, since the food was delicious and the service was good, I would like to stay again.

    Hotel with delicious meals

    I have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed, always leaving completely satisfied. Everything, including the rooms, onsen, and meals, is wonderful, making me eager to plan my next stay. I chose Western cuisine for dinner, and everything from the appetizers to the desserts was beautifully presented and delicious. I also opted for a Western breakfast, and the omelet and fruits were particularly tasty. This time I traveled by car, so it wasn't an issue, but when traveling by train, a shuttle service from the station would be helpful, so I would appreciate it if you could consider providing one.

    The staff's attention to detail, such as arranging a taxi, explaining the adjacent fruit park, securing desired sweets at the souvenir shop, introducing the wine tasting lounge, and notifying us about the coffee service on the terrace the next morning, was very helpful. In addition to reliably arranging what we requested, we are grateful that they remembered our interests from conversations, even for things we did not explicitly ask for. The gentle atmosphere made us feel safe and relaxed. It is a Hotel that can be enjoyed even with children, so I would like to recommend it to my daughter, her husband, and my grandchildren.

    A healing space

    This Hotel, although the building itself seems relatively old, is well-maintained, so it didn't feel that way. The view was also wonderful, and the night view and starry sky were truly soothing. Also, I was able to stay at a Hotel with excellent customer service for the first time in a while. From start to finish, I was treated very kindly without any discomfort, so I was able to spend my time pleasantly. There are many Hotels where the price is high and the service is poor, so I hope they will take a cue from this Hotel. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    This hotel is perfect for families with preschool children.

    This is a wonderful hotel that preschool children will be very satisfied with. We stayed after grape picking and played at the athletic facilities in the fruit park the next day. We will definitely visit again. Thank you to all the hotel staff. [Good Points] - The hospitality, thoughtfulness, and responsiveness of the hotel staff were excellent. - You can enjoy fireworks! Moreover, they lend you candles, ignition devices, and smoke cans (already filled with water) and even clean up afterward. - The amenities for children were abundant and cute. - There are two washing machines (300 yen per use) and two dryers (100 yen for 30 minutes) available as a coin laundry. - It is close to the fruit park, making it easy to play. - The meals were delicious, and toddlers could enjoy eating slowly. - There is a large public bath where you can relax leisurely. - The view from the room was spectacular. - Parking was free. - Although we didn't borrow them, there are games and play equipment available for rent. [Not So Good Points] - The room was old, and the tatami mats creaked and had some sinking spots. - The air conditioning is centrally controlled, so you cannot set the temperature freely in each room. - The drainage in the room's bathroom was poor.

    The location lived up to its reputation, and the staff were very pleasant. The food was delicious, and my son, his wife, and my grandchild were pleased, making it a great stay. The only complaint is the water facilities. Although it's understandable that the room has a unit bath because there is a large public bath, I can't accept that the sink is only inside it. The deluxe twin room has plenty of space, and the area in front of the toilet is quite spacious, but there is only a mysterious shelf and no sink. Having to wash hands and brush teeth all in the toilet seems to lower the hotel's standard, which is a bit disappointing. I hope for improvements.

What makes this hotel so comfortable are the staff members. The front desk and restaurant staff are very attentive yet interact with guests in a natural manner. This is likely what makes the Fruit Park Fujiya Hotel so approachable. It seems that many guests are repeat visitors, and this might be the reason why.
