    Regular Stays for Live Events

    I always stay here when attending a live event at Osaka-jo Hall. The restaurant and lobby were very crowded, and unfortunately, I couldn't make a reservation for one person even though I made a restaurant reservation in advance.

    There was a sense of unfamiliarity.

    There were staff members who were good at providing services and speaking to people with disabilities, and those who were not. I felt that some staff were flustered in their attitude towards me as a person with a disability, and I wished they could be a bit more composed. It seemed like they were not very good at handling situations involving people with disabilities. Also, I couldn't find the switch to turn off the lights, so I ended up sleeping with the lights slightly on. This includes the ceiling light and the desk lamp. Perhaps it was partly my fault for not asking about it. I wonder if it's the same at every Hotel, but is it a manual rule for male staff to attend to male guests? There are men who are uncomfortable with other men, so I hope this can be taken into consideration.

    I would like to use it again.

    They were very kind. The atmosphere conveyed a heartfelt hospitality. The woman (who guided us to the Room, at the front desk) made our stay fulfilling with her smile. The Room was upgraded from the town side to the Osaka Castle side, allowing us to enjoy a wonderful night view. I will definitely use it again. Thank you very much.

    It was very comfortable.

    I had planned a day trip to see a play, but I received an offer for a great plan from IKYU.com and decided to stay overnight. Since it was a special occasion, I booked an executive floor room with a view of Osaka Castle. From the reservation to the day of stay, my expectations were high, and they were met all the way through to checkout! As mentioned in other reviews, the water fixtures and faucets were a bit difficult to close, but other than that, I had a truly pleasant stay. Being able to enjoy the view of Osaka Castle through the beautifully polished windows and clean curtains at night and in the morning was the height of luxury. The drink service was included, and although I don't usually order it, it was a great experience, and I was impressed to enjoy warm drinks in the room with their deliciousness intact. The hospitality was truly pleasant, and I found myself thinking repeatedly that I always want to stay at a hotel like this. Thank you very much.

    I was healed.

    I stayed at the property to relax and rejuvenate myself after being exhausted from work. I was delighted to receive a room upgrade. Enjoyed a drink while admiring the wonderful view at Four Seasons. Returned to the room and had another drink with room service; the view from the room was also splendid. Watching people return from a concert at Osaka Castle Hall was somehow enjoyable. The staff were all courteous and pleasant.

    Traditional Hospitality

    I stayed for two nights during the three-day weekend. It seemed to be a plan outside of the IKYU Diamond Special Reservation, but I was upgraded to a room with a view of Osaka Castle. The view of Osaka Castle from the room was fantastic. The room was spacious enough and excellent. The bathroom was a unit bath, which is understandable. However, the cleaning was superbly thorough, and I was able to spend my time very comfortably. The hospitality from the staff at the front desk and restaurant was truly befitting of a long-established hotel. I had breakfast on the first floor and the 18th floor. The first floor had more variety, but the view from the 18th floor was better. There was a guest plan that could be used for dinner or lunch, and I used it at the bar. It was very affordable, delicious, and extremely satisfying, with service that was neither too attentive nor too distant, a hallmark of a long-established hotel. It was truly a satisfying stay. I will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

    The view is excellent.

    The staff's service was perfect. They were kind and courteous, and even the replacement of a single light bulb was impeccable. If I had to say, I felt that the bathroom and toilet were a bit old. From the guest room, I was able to relax on the bed while enjoying the night view of Osaka Castle. Thank you very much.

    Room temperature 33°C

    We reserved one room for my parents and one room for my spouse, our 1-year-old child, and myself. In the reservation, my parents had a twin room, and we had a queen bed room, but for some reason, we exchanged rooms. The twin room was hot from the moment we entered, so we set the air conditioning to 18 degrees and stayed in my parents' room until our room cooled down. However, the room never cooled, and when the temperature exceeded 29 degrees, we called the front desk. They informed us that the entire building had central air conditioning, so lowering the air conditioning setting wouldn't change anything, but they would send staff to check if the air conditioning was functioning normally. Up to this point, everything was fine... One employee and two workers came to the room and started working. By this time, the room temperature had reached 33 degrees, and our child was drenched in sweat, wearing only underwear, and it was unbearable for us to keep our clothes on. They began replacing the air conditioning filter, and we overheard them saying, "It's quite dirty." An employee then said, "That's all for the work, but if it's still hot, shall we bring a fan?" When we said it was impossible to stay with the thermometer reading over 30 degrees, they smirked and said, "That thermometer is on the bedside, so it's getting hot from the light." (There's no way there's a stage-like light on the bedside, haha.) We actually moved it to the middle of the bed afterward, but it still read 30 degrees. Even after telling them this, they said, "The room temperature is 26 degrees," measuring at the air conditioning vent. We had no choice but to take refuge in my parents' room. (The coolness when stepping into the hallway was astonishing.) Even when we went out at 5:30 PM, the thermometer placed in the middle of the bed only dropped to 28 degrees, and our child, who dislikes the heat, kept crying, so we stayed in my parents' room. We spent time outside until 8 PM without returning to the room. Incidentally, my mother kept sneezing and had a runny nose in the room, which stopped when she left the hotel, repeating this cycle. I suspect the filters in all the rooms are dirty. In the past two months, we've often come to Osaka on weekends and stayed at six different hotels. The prices ranged from more expensive to cheaper places, but this was the worst. At least if the breakfast buffet had been good, it might have lifted our spirits a bit, but it was extremely mediocre. There's nothing particularly worth eating. There are plenty of cheaper and better hotels. We will never stay here again.

    Polite service typical of a long-established Hotel

    In Osaka, where new hotels are constantly being built, there is no novelty or glamorous appearance, but above all, the courteous service typical of a long-established hotel by the staff was pleasant. Whether it was check-in, check-out, shoe shine service, or morning coffee service, all the staff were very pleasant. I am glad I chose Hotel New Otani Osaka from among the many hotels.

    It was very comfortable.

    We were able to enjoy a comfortable stay with exceptional service, including accommodating an early check-in about an hour before, upgrading our Room, and all the staff responding with smiles and courtesy throughout. Although I don't often have the opportunity to come to Osaka, this was a Hotel I would want to repeat without any complaints. I am sincerely grateful.

    Used for a concert at Osaka-jo Hall.

    First of all, the location is excellent. After the concert, I was able to enjoy the lingering atmosphere while gazing at the hall. The room was spacious, clean, and perfect. The breakfast was delicious, and the service was wonderful, making for a pleasant stay. I definitely want to use it again.

    A bit disappointed with my first suite room...

    I have stayed here several times before. This time, it was my first time in a junior suite, but I could hear talking? TV noise? from the next room late at night, which bothered me and made it hard to sleep. That was the only disappointment... Other than that, everything was as expected, no complaints.

    Response to Issues

    During my stay, there was an issue in the room, and I felt doubtful about the response of the assistant manager who handled it. It is somewhat inevitable for many hotel rooms to have issues, but the way they are handled can determine whether a hotel is good or bad. The first priority should be to respond from the guest's perspective. I was relieved by the response of the manager who handled the situation afterward. I think it's about time for the facility to be renovated. I hope the assistant manager reflects deeply on this. I would consider using the hotel again if given the opportunity.

    Lovely holiday

    I stay here 2 to 3 times a year, and the hotel life at New Otani Osaka is the best. The rooms are clean and spacious, the location from the rooms is excellent, and the "first-class hospitality" from the hotel staff, along with the incredibly delicious lunch buffet, leaves nothing to be desired in every aspect. I am truly grateful for always accommodating my request for my favorite room. Thank you very much. My heart always leaps the moment I step into the lobby of New Otani Osaka. I was able to enjoy a wonderful hotel life this time as well. Thanks to you, I was able to refresh both my mind and body. I am planning to stay during the Christmas season next time, and I am really looking forward to it. Thank you very much for taking care of me this time as well.

    As expected of Hotel New Otani

    From the moment we entered the hotel, we were greeted warmly and felt hospitality from every staff member. We were upgraded to a room on the Osaka Castle side, which made my mother happy. It was a bit of a splurge, but it was a stay that made us want to come back again.

    The hospitality is wonderful.

    I stayed right after knee surgery and wanted to minimize my luggage as much as possible, so I made several inquiries in advance with the reservation staff. They responded kindly, which alleviated my concerns and allowed me to stay comfortably. Being able to borrow a wheelchair was also a big help. At the breakfast venue, the staff assisted me, and I was very satisfied. The facility's age is undeniable, but I am impressed by the hospitality of each person, from the reservation staff to the room attendants. I was truly helped. Thank you very much.

    I have stayed at this hotel several times now. Personally, I love spending my holidays at hotels where I can feel the tradition and unique Japanese hospitality, so I prefer the chic and elegant atmosphere of this hotel over the glamorous vibe of foreign-owned hotels. What I find remarkable, after visiting several times, is the attitude of the lobby and front desk staff. Even during busy periods, they never neglect their attention to arriving guests, offering smooth procedures with meticulous care and greetings. It may seem trivial, but instead of wasting time waiting during check-in, such scenes reflect the hotel's guest-oriented hospitality. This time, I stayed in the Luxury Junior Suite again. The room is on a high floor with a great view, featuring a calm interior design, a comfortable sofa for lounging, and a spacious layout with separate bedroom and living areas. The flow to the closet and bathroom is also well-designed, making it very relaxing. Additionally, there are two large 4K TVs with smart TV capabilities, allowing you to enjoy your favorite streaming services to the fullest in your room! Spending a leisurely holiday in this room is truly soothing. However, while I usually enjoy a quiet stay, this time, perhaps due to the busy season, there was a constant thumping noise from the upper floors late into the night, which was a bit disappointing. I opted for room service for breakfast, which was high-quality and delicious. You can choose between an American breakfast or a Japanese breakfast, and if you have a breakfast voucher, you can switch to room service for an additional 1,300 yen, making it a recommended option for a leisurely breakfast in your room! Whether you're casually visiting Kyobashi or taking a stroll to Osaka Castle, both are within walking distance from the hotel. Exploring the slightly deep and stylish bar district near Kyobashi Station is also enjoyable, and the area around the hotel is full of attractions and entertainment. I will return to this hotel to relax and seek solace on my next holiday, enjoying the company of the wonderful staff!

    Always comfortable.

    I have stayed at various places in Osaka, but this one is the most relaxing. Especially the hospitality. It's appreciated not only when I'm on business trips but also during family vacations with children.

    As expected! One of Japan's top three hotels.

    It's an old hotel, but it was very clean and comfortable. The hospitality of the hotel staff was especially wonderful. This is exactly what Japanese hospitality is all about! It was excellent service that you won't find at foreign luxury hotels. The parking lot is also in the basement of the hotel, so you can enter the hotel without getting wet even in the rain. It's a hotel I would like to visit again.

    I stayed at the hote...

    I stayed at the hotel for the first time in over a decade due to a concert at Osaka-jo Hall. The atmosphere and service were what you would expect from a long-established hotel, and although it was just for one night, I had a comfortable stay. The design of the guest room and bathroom felt slightly dated, but they were spacious and well-cleaned, and the amenities were plentiful, so I was satisfied. While some luxury hotels only provide the bare minimum of service, here I felt a proactive approach to communication from the porter and room service staff, which demonstrated a high level of hospitality. As a side note, the only disappointment was that the patisserie staff's service was not very courteous (they were engrossed in chatting with each other and handed over the receipt bluntly), which stood out negatively because the service from the front desk and other staff was of such a high standard. In any case, it was an overall excellent hotel, and I would like to use it again when I have business nearby.

    Overall Rating

    The lobby is majestic and imposing. Having room service available until midnight is good. However, it's undeniable that the whole place shows signs of age. The soap has a glue-like smell reminiscent of old Showa-era public baths. I don't think it appeals to not only the younger generation but also the main customer base of middle-aged and older people. That is unacceptable for a hotel with more than 4 stars. Brushing teeth or taking a shower with that smell is not pleasant. It would be better to incorporate the opinions of young women and either replace it or switch to a push-type dispenser.

    Keyaki was good.

    The keyaki meat and the Osaka Castle illumination were fantastic. The room was compact and satisfactory for single use. However, I was a bit disappointed with the amenities, as there wasn't enough toothpaste for two uses. I apologize for the nitpicking, but we managed by using the amount for two people. The access to Kansai Airport was a bit confusing, so it would be nice to have a dedicated leaflet or something similar. Other than that, it was comfortable.

    The service is excellent.

    I stayed for the first time. The customer service is simply wonderful. It's undeniable that the plumbing is old, but the amenities are well-stocked and helpful. The meals at SATSUKI and NAKAJIMA were both very delicious. It's worth visiting just for the food. It's very convenient to get to Kyocera Dome Osaka with just one subway ride.     For the live concert at Osaka-jo Hall,

    I stayed here to attend a live concert at Osaka-jo Hall. Unfortunately, it was raining that day, and by the time I reached the hotel from the station, I was quite soaked, so they kindly lent me a towel. The room felt more spacious than I expected. Although it has some age, it was clean and I was able to enjoy my stay comfortably. The room service takoyaki was delicious.
