    Your exceptional hospitality skills truly stand out.

    I stayed for one night and two days. At check-in, there was an unexpectedly long line. This was due to an event at Osaka-jo Hall, but I felt the staff’s customer service skills were extremely high. I had a comfortable stay through check-out. Due to overbooking, my Room was upgraded. Considering the Hotel’s age, the Facility feels a bit dated, but everything is very well maintained and comfortable. However, it was difficult that the air conditioner and refrigerator didn’t work properly until after they had been running overnight. I was also very satisfied with breakfast! This has become one of the Hotels I’d like to stay at again!

    Reliable Accommodation

    This is my only choice when staying in Osaka. This time, I took the Yamatoji Rapid Service from Osakajokoen Station to Nara—about 1 hour with no transfers. Highly recommended. It would be great if there were a shuttle bus between Shin-Osaka and the Hotel.

    It was a Hotel I would gladly stay at again.

    This was my first time staying here for one night. As I was traveling alone, I chose this Hotel hoping for a safe and relaxing stay, and it was just as I expected—very comfortable. The Room had a view of Osaka Castle, but it felt a little far away. It would have been even better if there had been bath salts or other bath additives, and the shampoo and conditioner were a bit disappointing. Even so, the hospitality from all the staff was excellent, and it made for a very pleasant stay. After checkout, I could head straight to Osaka Castle right away, so the location was great as well. Thank you very much for taking care of me.

    The quality of the staff, from the front desk and bell team onward, truly reflected the long-established New Otani Hotel. The illuminated Osaka Castle seen from the Room was beautiful. The Room was clean, but the bathroom facilities felt dated. The kushikatsu at Ajikan was original and made with great ingredients—we were very satisfied. The breakfast buffet had delicious bread. Overall, it reminded us once again of what makes a long-established Japanese Hotel so special.

    Exceptional hospitality from a long-established inn

    The Facility is a bit dated, but we were very satisfied thanks to the wonderful hospitality and service. The SATSUKI breakfast buffet was also excellent. The steamed rice was glossy and sweet—I ended up having seconds again and again.

    There is an odor in the Room...

    I stayed for two nights in a non-smoking Room. Although the Hotel is supposed to be almost entirely non-smoking, the Room somehow smelled of cigarettes. I didn’t notice it at check-in, but when I returned to the Room around 10:30 p.m. after dinner, I realized it. I used the deodorizing spray provided in the Room, but it didn’t improve much. I put up with it and went to sleep that night. In the morning, I remembered that an air purifier could be borrowed, so I requested one and ran it at full power, which made it a little better. Perhaps the previous guest was a smoker—even if they didn’t smoke in the Room, maybe their belongings carried the smell? It had an odor like a Business Hotel. The stationery you provided and your other services were excellent, so this was my only disappointment. I would appreciate it if you could consider providing additional options besides the in-room deodorizer (such as other scented items) in the future. Thank you very much.

    We had a very comfortable stay.

    I booked a single Room for an errand in Osaka, and received very attentive service at a price comparable to a Business Hotel. When I arrived slightly wet from the rain and was checking in, they even wiped my bag with a towel. The welcome drinks offered a wide variety, and the morning coffee was brought over in a pot so I could enjoy plenty. I was also able to have breakfast at Satsuki, which made me very satisfied. I often stay at Hotel New Otani Tokyo as a member, and the Osaka property likewise provided detailed, thoughtful service that made my stay truly comfortable. The view from the top-floor restaurant overlooks Osaka Castle, and the staff were all pleasant—I had a wonderful time.

    It was a very nice Hotel.

    My mother and I stayed for one night, and we were truly impressed by the Hotel staff’s courteous service from check-in to check-out. The Room was clean and comfortable, so we could relax, and the breakfast buffet offered many unique dishes—all of them were delicious. This is a Hotel we would love to stay at again if we have the chance. Thank you very much.

    Getting old is no good.

    Stayed here after our second live concert. It was very helpful on such a hot day that we were allowed to spend time in the hall while waiting for the show to start. I was looking forward to the buffet breakfast, but I thought, “Oh? Not many items.” After finishing and turning to the side, I noticed there was a separate Japanese-style section a little further away. Come to think of it, when we were shown around, I believe they said something like “Japanese food is on the right,” but with so many foreign tour groups around, I assumed it was within the Western-food area. We’re an over-60 couple and didn’t quite process what was said. If we’d been told clearly that it’s split into two areas, we might have noticed the Japanese section next door—my husband apparently wanted rice porridge (he should have asked himself!). We must have eaten at the same venue last time too, but getting older is no fun. This time we were able to stay at a great rate through IKYU, so who knows when our third visit will be. It was an honor to stay on our 40th anniversary.

    No loungewear size options are available.

    Breakfast and the Room were very good. However, the pajama pants did not fit, so I asked to exchange them for a larger size, but I was told there is only one size available. Since I had not brought my own, I slept wearing only the top. In case of a fire or earthquake, I was worried and kept a change of clothes by my pillow. If other sizes are not available, I would have appreciated a notice encouraging guests to bring their own pajamas.

    As expected of Hotel New Otani.

    I had visited OBP several times for work, but this was my first time staying here. From the window, Osaka Castle was beautifully illuminated, creating a wonderful night view. Above all, the staff were outstanding, and I was able to enjoy a fun summer vacation. Other than one night on the second day when a drunk guest was loudly causing a disturbance in the hallway, everything was truly comfortable and I could forget about time. Our trip to Izu that we had planned for winter will be changed back to Osaka at my son’s request. We will be staying with you again in December. Thank you in advance. PS: I asked at the front desk where I could buy souvenirs, and I was able to purchase them successfully. Thank you very much.

    My First Stay at Hotel New Otani

    I stayed at Hotel New Otani for the first time in my life to visit the Vermeer exhibition in Osaka. The one thing I really want to highlight from this stay is… Isn’t Hotel New Otani’s water unbelievably good!??? They said it was pH 8.1 water, served in a steel container, and it was so delicious that I honestly wondered if it was really okay to have it for free. As for the Facility, since it’s an older building, the walls felt a bit thin, but I don’t think it would bother you as long as you’re surrounded by guests who keep things quiet. I also requested a massage at night, and it felt great—my legs felt much less tired afterward. I’d love to stay again when I visit Osaka.

    While the view is somewhat modest, you’ll be thoroughly satisfied with the exceptional cuisine and warm hospitality.

    I stayed here looking forward to a Room with a view of Osaka Castle. Because it was a corner-side Room on the 15th floor, the view was only “just barely visible,” which was a bit disappointing. However, despite the building’s age, it has been nicely updated and I had a very comfortable stay. The calm atmosphere throughout the Hotel—such as the Wyeth Bash and Bernard Buffet paintings displayed on the second floor—was also wonderful. All of the staff welcomed me with Osaka-style friendliness and warm hospitality, making my stay truly pleasant. Above all, the dining was outstanding. At “SATSUKI” and “Four Seasons,” I experienced service that reflected the pride of a prestigious Hotel. Everything was exquisite—from dinner items like hitsumabushi and parboiled hamo to even the omelet I ordered via room service.

    A Hotel that makes your stay fulfilling, whether you're here for a fun trip or not.

    Staying at Hotel New Otani can be for many reasons—sometimes for fun plans, other times due to work or family circumstances. No matter the occasion, it feels like a reassuring Hotel where you can truly relax and recharge with great food. The in-Room massage therapists are consistently highly skilled, so I can book with confidence. Personally, I’m especially satisfied with the Rooms that come with Gold Key access. I’ve seen other Reviews saying the breakfast didn’t meet expectations, and unfortunately I agree (perhaps because I end up comparing it to breakfast at Hotel New Otani Tokyo). That said, it’s absolutely possible to enjoy a delicious breakfast here—and I strongly prefer Room Service. I always choose No Meals Included and order my favorite Japanese-style breakfast via Room Service! On days when I want something light or am in a hurry, there are plenty of à la carte options such as French toast. With no worries about crowds, you can enjoy a morning that suits your schedule.

    Enjoy views of Osaka Castle and Abeno Harukas from the window.

    This is my regular place to stay in Osaka. I liked it so much that I joined the New Otani Club. With this club membership, you can relax in the lounge and the parking fee is waived. However, the lounge isn’t very large and can be full, so I couldn’t get in this time. That probably shows how comfortable it is. Every time I check in at this Hotel, I find myself looking all around—it’s truly beautiful. It looks wonderful from every angle, even from the 2nd or 3rd floor. I wonder who designed it. The 1st floor always has different events to entertain guests. This time I think it was Sanrio. I ask every time: since I often travel alone, a buffet is easier for me to use. Usually I take the train to nearby Hotel buffets instead. If possible, I’d really appreciate having a buffet available on weekdays too—it would help me spend more time at the Hotel.

    A Hotel where you can experience the charm of traditional Japan.

    I stayed here for the first time because I had business near the Hotel. At check-in, a bellboy carried my luggage and escorted me to my Room, and each time I came and went, many staff members greeted me with a bow. It was a pleasure to experience again the traditional Japanese-style service that has continued since the Showa era. They also accommodated my request for the Room in advance, which was truly helpful. The facilities do feel somewhat dated, but the Room was spacious enough, and the amenities and everything else were well prepared. Breakfast also offered a lineup worthy of a top-class Hotel, and I enjoyed having an omelet made fresh in front of me every morning. In that sense, I felt this Hotel offers excellent value for money. I noticed a foreign name on the card for housekeeping in my Room, but most of the staff I saw were Japanese, which somehow made me feel at ease. Since it is near Osaka Castle, I assumed there would be no convenience stores or shops nearby; however, right outside an exit on the opposite side from the entrance there were various options around the Yomiuri TV building and Osaka Business Park. If you could share such information about what is available outside as well, it would make it even easier to enjoy staying at this Hotel.

    One of the few Hotels in Osaka you can use with peace of mind

    I’ve stayed here more than 10 times, and it’s a first-class Hotel with outstanding breakfast and a wide range of excellent services. These days, Kita and Minami can be noisy with many foreign visitors, but this place is very quiet while still offering easy access to both areas. Osaka Castle Park is right in front of the Hotel, making it a great environment for a walk and then spending the whole day relaxing at the Hotel. In any case, for a Multiple Night Stay, I believe there’s no better choice than Otani—so next time as well, I’m definitely booking another Multiple Night Stay with the breakfast Plan.

    This was my first time staying here.

    It had been a long time since I last stayed in Osaka, and since we drove there, we chose Hotel New Otani because it seemed easy to park. From the helpful response when I called to ask whether we could park early, to the smooth check-in after meeting my husband at the Hotel, everything was handled pleasantly and made it easy to settle into our Room. I felt the staff were very attentive. The view from the window included Osaka Castle, and I was truly able to relax—it really felt worth coming. I was surprised to find Galerie Tamenaga on the first floor. I had wanted to visit a museum but didn’t have time, so being able to see museum-quality paintings—and with service that lived up to expectations—was wonderful. Breakfast had separate Western and Japanese sections, and in the Western section they cooked omelets for you. I was impressed by the pan, heat control, and the chef’s skill. Among all the dishes, I especially felt the vegetables were delicious. Whether it’s because they carefully select their ingredients or because of excellent finishing before serving, everything was tasty—but that aspect stood out more than at other Hotels. It was a bit disappointing that the floor lamp in our Room flickered as if it were about to burn out, but if we had mentioned it, I’m sure they would have replaced it right away. It’s a Hotel that made me want to stay again. Thank you very much.

    The Room has been re...

    The Room has been renovated, and we were able to stay very comfortably. Thank you. The bathroom now has a washing area, and the layout is easy to use; it has been reborn as a refined Room, which was great. It would be perfect if the bed mattress were a bit softer and the Room lighting were brighter.

    I slept well.

    At the end of an exhausting week, I stayed at this Hotel to unwind. After check-in, I enjoyed herbal tea in my Room and was able to relax for the first time in a while. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept soundly until morning. In the morning, the hot coffee from room service was delicious and helped me wake up feeling refreshed. It was a truly relaxing stay for both body and mind.

    The breakfast was disappointing.

    The staff made a very good impression overall. I did feel that a few more senior staff members spoke a bit harshly, but everyone else—including the staff who delivered room service, the bell staff, and all the team members I spoke with by phone—were excellent. I also appreciated that the staff proactively suggested options so my child could eat comfortably. The room service snacks were delicious, so I had high expectations for breakfast, but it was disappointing. It was on par with what you’d find at a Business Hotel. Although it promotes “beauty and health,” there were no fruits or smoothies, and the selection didn’t feel particularly extensive. For this content, paying over 5,500 yen per adult and over 3,000 yen per child felt like poor value. That said, the room service really was excellent, so I’m giving it 3 stars.

    The excellent service makes you want to come back again.

    A two-night stay over Obon. I accidentally made separate Reservations for each night through IKYU, so I called on the day to ask if I could stay in the same Room for both nights. I was told the Hotel had already arranged it—once again, I was impressed by how quickly they handled everything. That said, maybe because it was a more affordable Room, the walls felt a bit thin this time. Or perhaps it was just that the guests next door were noisy (probably Chinese). The first morning was extremely crowded and I almost missed breakfast, so on the second morning I went straight to the 18th floor instead of the busy 1st floor… and it was quiet that day. Apparently the breakfast venue on the 18th floor is Trader Vic’s. I was surprised by how simple the interior was. The morning greenery of Osaka Castle Park looked beautiful and refreshing. I once wrote that their breakfast wagyu beef soup was outstanding, and this morning there was a curry with plenty of tender chunks of beef that reminded me of that soup. The flavor of the meat melted into the sauce—it was truly delicious. Next time, I’d like to book a slightly higher-grade Room and stay here again.

    Family Stay for a Trip

    We stayed here with our family of four during our trip to Kyoto and Osaka. Since we booked the Family Suite, we received services such as welcome drinks, and they even celebrated our child’s birthday for us—thank you very much. The Room was more than spacious enough, the amenities were well stocked, and the outstanding location with Osaka Castle towering right in front of us made us extremely satisfied. Breakfast was also high quality across the board and delicious. We are also grateful for the wonderful hospitality from everyone at the Hotel. Thanks to you, it became a truly memorable family trip.
