    We had a relaxing stay.

This was my first stay in three years, and I was curious to see how it had been rebranded, but the overall atmosphere felt almost unchanged. I also stayed here about 20 years ago, and to be honest there were parts of the building that felt a bit dated. However, the guest Room itself was comfortable with no particular issues. The bedding was very comfortable. Some areas, such as the atrium and dining area, were under renovation. The biggest change I noticed is that there are more activities than before. If I could have stayed one more night, I would have liked to try horseback riding and go-karts. This time I made a last-minute Reservation for just one night, so I only used the private annex bath. The usage time was 30 minutes shorter than before. Since it’s cold in winter, it was actually nice to be able to get back to my Room before getting chilled. The open-air bath was very relaxing. There were makeup remover and toner available there, and towels were set out in front of reception. It was convenient that all I needed to bring from my Room was a change of clothes. Breakfast still offers a wide variety of Japanese and Western options, and everything was delicious. When you enter you receive a table card and are shown inside, so you don’t have to look for a seat yourself—very much appreciated. I’d like to stay here again on my next trip home.

    Great value for money.

I stayed at this Accommodation for a golf trip at Tom Watson, Phoenix Country. The Onsen, buffet, and service were excellent. The staff at the basement shop were also kind, and I was able to buy lots of souvenirs. The Room location was perfect. One thing: I was concerned about mold around the shower drain area.

    I was not satisfied.

I booked two rooms under my name and stayed with my brother-in-law, but I was informed that my room had a checkout time of 12 PM while his was at 11 AM. The explanation given was that only the room I stayed in received the benefit because I am a Diamond member. However, since all reservations were made under my name, it felt unsatisfactory that accompanying family members were treated differently.

    The meals are delicious.

The purpose of our trip to Miyazaki was to stay at this Hotel. Among various activities, my child wanted to make a haniwa (clay figure), and although I wondered why, we chose it—and they said it was very enjoyable. Next time, they want to ride a horse, so we’d love to stay here again. The service allowing you to send letters to loved ones was also wonderful.

    Marriott

It has been half a year since leaving Marriott, and I was curious about the changes, so I stayed at this accommodation. Overall, it was good, but unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy the breakfast due to timing issues. Perhaps it's a capacity issue.

The satisfaction level remains high even after becoming Seagaia.

This was my first stay since the transition from the Sheraton brand to Seagaia. Having stayed almost every year for nearly 20 years, I was concerned about any changes, but I found the comfort of the accommodation, room ambiance, and meal quality remained as enjoyable as ever. The breakfast at Pine Terrace was particularly delightful, with freshly prepared omelets and rice balls right in front of us, along with a wide variety of other dishes. However, I do miss the bread pudding and chewy pancakes that I always looked forward to; it would be wonderful if they could make a comeback someday. As for the onsen, unfortunately, during winter it felt too cold due to drafts in the washing area and along the path to the changing room.

    It was a fulfilling stay.

I have stayed here several times, and this time was also an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Relaxed by roasting marshmallows at the campfire area while enjoying coffee. Soaked in the onsen, lounged around in the room, drank plenty of beer in the lounge, swam in the pool, and even visited the zoo via the park bus before check-in. It was so much fun! The staff were very friendly and approachable, making for great conversations everywhere. There were a few unexpected moments, but they turned into wonderful memories as well.

    The Room was great.

The room layout, usability, and cleanliness were excellent. However, there were not many amenities like women's basic skincare products. The onsen was crowded and left a less favorable impression. It was nice to enjoy complimentary coffee from the patio at the fireplace. I usually reserve through other sites, but this time I used IKYU because of the Diamond benefits. However, there was no upgrade as mentioned, and the gift from the spa was incense with a rather peculiar scent that my family also disliked and did not use. Therefore, I felt that the special benefits from reserving through IKYU might not hold much value.

    New Year's at Pine Terrace

As it was New Year's cuisine, the price was double, but it was disappointing. The content did not change even with a Multiple Night Stay. We changed the dinner at the restaurant for an additional fee.

The view from the window is truly soothing.

Stayed during a trip from Kagoshima and sightseeing in Miyazaki. The room had large windows, offering stunning views from every angle. This time, I stayed in a corner suite, which had such a spacious living area that the TV felt quite far away. Dinner was ordered through room service and it was delicious. I didn’t use the onsen this time, but I’d like to try it on my next visit. The accommodation had laundry facilities, which were very convenient for catching up on washing during the trip. On the same floor as the laundry, there was a shop where you could buy souvenirs and drinks. It was open until late at night, which was very helpful.

This is my go-to accommodation in Miyazaki!

I’m always satisfied. I was a bit bothered by the poor manners of some guests (Japanese) in the bath area, but that’s not the Hotel’s fault, so it can’t really be helped. Also, regarding the large public bath at the very back: you have to get completely undressed in the changing room and then walk down a hallway for a while to reach the bathing area. In winter, it may feel quite cold. I recommend bringing a towel so you can dry off right away. I also saw someone get lost on that hallway when returning. It might be helpful to add signage such as “Changing Room This Way,” etc. The cutoff time for entering the indoor pool with children is early, and I’d be happy if it could be extended a bit. Since we went for a “hotel staycation,” we were very busy after check-in—eating s’mores, swimming in the pool, and enjoying the Onsen. (LOL) I chose room service for breakfast because I wanted to relax, but I was disappointed because the egg yolk was completely hard and not to my taste. I should have mentioned my preference when ordering. It might be better to choose the buffet even if it’s crowded. It sounds like a new outdoor pool will be completed soon, so once it’s finished, I’d like to visit again with my child. Thank you very much. P.S. I sincerely hope the lounge sparkling wine will return to Moët & Chandon.

    The club lounge was underwhelming.

Since it was far from the city center, I planned to relax in the club lounge, but the alcohol selection was low-end and the food was basic. Given how expensive it is, I wish it had felt a bit more luxurious.

I want to visit every year.

We stayed here for Christmas last year and this year. We were pleasantly surprised by the staff's bright and cheerful hospitality, reminiscent of Miyazaki's sunny skies. The club lounge provided a relaxing and comfortable experience.

We had a very relaxing stay.

I stayed on the Club Floor for four nights. On the day I visited, there was a Christmas plate at tea time, and it was delicious. Although it wasn’t perfectly clear weather, I was able to relax in a Room with a wonderful sunrise view. Breakfast was also delicious, both at the buffet and at Komekyu. One disappointing thing was that the Club Floor was very crowded over Christmas and there weren’t enough evening plates; some guests were upset about this, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. The next day, there was a sign at the entrance saying you cannot enter without presenting your Club Floor card, so I wondered if access control hadn’t been properly managed and too many people had come in. I have stayed on Club Floors at other Hotels many times, and it is standard to have your Room number checked at the entrance, so I think enforcing this properly would make this Hotel even more trusted. All of the staff were very friendly and kind, so I had a pleasant stay. I would like to visit again.

    I requested a bouque...

I requested a bouquet, and they carefully listened to my preferences, delivering a result that exceeded my expectations. Even when I was not available at the specified time, they promptly contacted me and showed thoughtful consideration to ensure the recipient wouldn't notice the surprise. I felt very reassured throughout the process. Thank you for your heartfelt service and beautiful flowers!

Everything is perfect except for one thing.

I have been using this Hotel for 20 years and have always been satisfied. This time was no exception, but I would like to report one concern. At the breakfast buffet, an employee-like person and a guest were chatting in front of the salad bar while facing the salads. They talked for quite a long time, and I couldn't bear it anymore, so I informed another staff member. That staff seemed to go over to address it but stopped midway. The conversation continued for some time after that. It was quite unsanitary and unacceptable behavior. It's disappointing as such things are more strictly managed in urban Hotels.

    Thank you very much.

The lounge was quiet this time, allowing me to relax and have many conversations with the staff. They also introduced me to a new type of shochu. As always, it’s a very comfortable Hotel. I will visit again.

    Samui is required.

This was my third stay. During my previous two stays, there were room wear and samue provided in the room, which I could comfortably wear after a bath, but this time they were not available. I stayed in the Queen Suite. Having to wear my own clothes after a bath was very unpleasant. Most accommodations usually provide yukata or samue for post-bath use, but it seems that some rooms have them while others do not, which feels discriminatory. Perhaps they are trying to create a sense of luxury, but it felt incomplete and very disappointing. Cutting back on such services raises questions about their hospitality standards. It was very uncomfortable.

Both the staff and the facilities are excellent.

The building and facility have a historical charm but are well-maintained and clean, which is impressive. The staff's attentiveness, such as smiling and offering to take photos whenever we passed by, was remarkable. The variety of alcohol on the club floor was excellent, including delicious shochu available for free, which was much appreciated. When I asked whether Miyazaki Station or Miyazaki Airport had a better selection of souvenirs, the response was "Our basement has the best selection." Although I asked "Which," their self-promotion made me chuckle. The most disappointing part was that despite requesting a high-floor room to enjoy the moonrise when making my reservation, I ended up in a room where it wasn't visible. If they couldn't fulfill my request, they could have informed me at check-in. I had hoped to turn off the lights and photograph through the window if possible; having planned this two months in advance with a full moon in mind for my multiple night stay reservation made it all the more disappointing. While I could still view it from the club lounge so it wasn’t entirely ruined, it's very unfortunate that my excitement and repeated email requests were not communicated properly to those handling reservations.

    We had a relaxing stay.

This was my third stay. The lounge staff were wonderful again, with warm smiles that made it very comfortable. They make me want to come back and see them again. The view from the Room is amazing, and as always, there are plenty of activities to enjoy. It’s a shame that flight access from where I live isn’t very convenient, so I can’t visit as easily as I’d like. It’s a Hotel that would be a waste not to book a Multiple Night Stay.

Used for the first time after rebranding.

I have stayed here many times as a Marriott member. Although I am also a Gold Member of Seagaia, it is disappointing that the benefits of membership are hardly noticeable anymore. Since there is an Onsen, I did not use the bathroom in the room, but the room I stayed in this time had a standard business hotel unit bath. If you are not familiar with the Marriott era, there may be no basis for comparison, so it might not be an issue.

    First Stay Under New Management

This was my first stay since the management changed, but the staff remained consistent, and I didn't notice much change apart from the Marriott status benefits. The shift towards catering to families that I was concerned about wasn't noticeable, possibly because it was during a golf tournament. My favorite restaurant had closed down, so I skipped dinner but enjoyed breakfast at Komekyu and the lounge. Breakfast at Komekyu focused on rice bowl dishes and was enjoyable; however, limited items like eel seemed to sell out quickly, so arriving at the 6 AM start time is recommended. It would be even more satisfying if they offered a Japanese set meal option similar to a children's set. The lounge service during cocktail hour felt slightly limited in variety but worked well for pre-dinner drinks without inconvenience. Since access seems restricted to rooms with lounge privileges, it wasn’t crowded—a definite plus. I look forward to visiting this hotel again.

    About Diamond Member Benefits

I was expecting a room upgrade as a Diamond Member benefit, but I was informed that while basic rooms can be upgraded, higher-ranked rooms cannot. The website states, "Some room types may not be eligible for upgrades," so I assumed most rooms could be upgraded. It might be better to have wording that reflects the actual policy more clearly to avoid confusion. Another point of concern was that one of the staff members wore their mask improperly (below the nose). This surprised me as it’s the first time I’ve seen this from hotel staff. It might leave a better impression if masks are either worn properly or not at all. That said, the space was very spacious, and the Onsen was exceptional—this has become one of my favorite places, and I will definitely visit again!

The bath is located far away.

The room size and luggage handling were excellent. The sunrise view was incredibly beautiful. However, while it's convenient for young people to check everything online, there was no contact information for the front desk on the in-room phone, which caused some trouble! Even when calling the guest line, no one answered (T_T). Also, the bath in the Twin Towers is far away and requires walking outside, which can lead to sudden chills—this is challenging health-wise and physically for elderly guests. There was a discount system available; however, when I presented it at checkout after registering, I was told it could only be used at the restaurant. It would have been helpful if this had been communicated earlier. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay. This time I couldn't play golf as I came with my grandchild; next time I'd like to enjoy golfing!

I had a relaxing and peaceful stay.

We appreciate the staff for providing clean and thorough housekeeping. The front desk staff also left a great impression with their kind and cheerful service. The Room was spacious, allowing for a quiet and comfortable stay. We were fortunate to witness the sunrise from the 30th floor. The open-air bath was wonderful as well. Thank you very much!

    Grand in scale

First, I was amazed by the size of the parking lot. The building's floors were decent in size, but it was quite spacious, requiring a lot of walking to reach the restaurant or bath. Especially when heading to the Onsen at the back, you have to walk through maze-like corridors for a while; however, the courtyard is beautifully lit up, making the walk enjoyable. The bath was smaller than expected, and the restaurant wasn't very large either. Still, I couldn't help but wonder if they could handle all guests during peak seasons with so many rooms available. The buffet was quite good, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Overall quality felt high for less than 20,000 yen per person—a great value for money! However, 2,700 yen for all-you-can-drink felt slightly expensive in comparison. In conclusion, it’s an excellent Hotel that left me very satisfied; I’d definitely stay here again if visiting Miyazaki next time!

    The Room was good, but...

The futon was not made of down, so it felt heavy and did not provide a comfortable sleep. The Facility was convenient and satisfactory. However, the shape of the bathtub felt cramped and did not allow for a relaxing soak (though my husband didn’t seem to mind). For dinner, we had Italian cuisine, which was very delicious and satisfying. Breakfast was also tasty.
