The housekeeping staff’s attention to detail is truly impressive.
The housekeeping staff, bell desk team, and the staff at the Japanese and Italian restaurants were very attentive, which made my stay comfortable. Since this was a Multiple Night Stay, I had requested only an amenity replacement, but the housekeeping staff noticed a wet towel placed under the soap dish in the washroom and replaced it with a fresh one. I was truly impressed. Thank you. However, I was shocked by the response from a female staff member at the front desk on the 2nd floor. I had made a Reservation for two nights in a club Room through IKYU, but because I had reserved a standard Room for the previous night, I needed to change rooms. I asked the 2nd-floor front desk whether I could wait in the club lounge during the room change time, but she told me she didn’t know and that I should go ask the club lounge myself. This could have been resolved with one phone call from the front desk to the lounge, but she would not make that call. As a result, I had to go to ask in person. I was very disappointed by such an unhelpful response from the 2nd-floor front desk. I understand they may be tired from assisting hundreds of guests, but I believe that for guests, the front desk is an important place that shapes their first impression of a Hotel—don’t you agree? Unfortunately, this stay left me with a disappointing impression of this Accommodation.

We had a wonderful celebration.
We visited to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday. We had dinner at arco on the 42nd floor. They prepared a dessert plate, and my father was very happy. The website said we could see fireworks from the 42nd floor, so we made a Reservation, but unfortunately they were not visible from the restaurant. (However, after leaving the restaurant, we were able to see them briefly from the lobby.) We also had breakfast at arco the next morning, and the Tsuno sparkling wine and cheese were delicious. My mother especially enjoyed the galette. The ocean view from our Room was wonderful, and I’m grateful that we could do something meaningful for my parents. We would love to visit again.

I enjoyed my stay.
We stayed for two nights with our daughter and son-in-law, our two grandchildren, and us as a couple. We were assigned adjacent Rooms on the club floor and really enjoyed the spacious Rooms, the Hyuga-nada coastline view from the window, the nightly fireworks, and the variety of pools. The only drawback was that it was during summer vacation, so all eight elevators were running at full capacity. There is no dedicated elevator for the club floor (36th floor and above), so we often had to wait nearly 10 minutes. It felt different from other Hotel experiences. The elevator hall was also quite warm, which made it feel even more uncomfortable. The club floor staff seemed inexperienced, and check-in/check-out took far too long. However, both the Italian and Japanese meals were delicious and satisfying. The staff in the restaurants also provided good service.

It would be better to remove it from IKYU.
I stayed for two nights from 8/16 to 8/18. It was extremely crowded, and depending on the time of day, I had to wait 10–15 minutes for the elevator. The hotel uses automated check-in with no explanation—just “check the paper or website.” If you don’t confirm and make a Reservation for breakfast properly, you may end up waiting an hour. When I lined up to book in person and spoke to staff, I was told I was in the wrong line and had to start over in a different line. Because the staff member was not Japanese, my explanation wasn’t accepted and I had to re-queue anyway. There were no signs explaining which line was which. The pool requires numbered tickets and was packed like sardines. There were many small children, so the water was cloudy. Please decide accordingly. To top it off, I lost (or possibly had stolen) my branded glasses. I contacted the poolside office first, then contacted the front desk myself as well. The next morning when I asked at the pool office, nothing had been passed along. With no choice, I searched around the poolside myself—staff did not help at all. Suspicious of this, I went back to ask the front desk again; once again, nothing had been passed along. In the end, my glasses were never found. Even if it’s ultimately my responsibility for losing them, couldn’t they at least help me look? At minimum they should have shared information internally. This was one of my worst experiences on IKYU. I will never use it again. IKYU should stop listing this property as well.

First visit during the Obon holidays with children
- A request to the Hotel When traveling with preschool children, it’s hard to predict when they’ll fall asleep, get hungry, or become fussy. It would be very helpful to have casual restaurants and takeout options that can be used flexibly without a Reservation. I was disappointed that there were too few dining options for the number of guests, and that choices leaned heavily toward upscale venues. - Access Rental car offices line the airport perimeter and the Hotel is nearby, so getting around felt easier than on an Okinawa trip. - Check-in / Check-out The 2nd-floor front desk was extremely crowded. I’d like to see more self check-in kiosks. The elevators were also difficult to board. The club floor seems to stagger check-in/out locations and times, so during peak holiday crowds (Obon), the club floor may be a better choice. - Breakfast Pine Terrace is a fun restaurant, but if you don’t enter in the 6 a.m. hour you may face a one-hour wait. After that, since breakfast tickets can be used until 1:30 p.m., aiming for lunchtime is another option. The convention center felt like it was mostly used by guests who couldn’t get into Pine Terrace; both the atmosphere and food quality differed significantly, which was disappointing. There’s also an udon shop outside the Hotel open from morning—I enjoyed it. - Lunch At Kazemachi Terrace you can take out savory breads, sandwiches, and cakes. It seems takeout is also available at the poolside bar. - Dinner Be careful: most upscale restaurants in the Hotel were nearly fully booked, there was no takeout, and without a Reservation you’ll likely need to drive out with a rental car. Nearby Miyazaki beef and local chicken restaurants were also hard to book, but we found a wonderful pizza place after searching. The last resort is AEON Mall Miyazaki; there was also a Miyazaki gourmet & lantern festival next door—I'd love to try it next time. - Outdoor pool The splash area slide requires a height of 120 cm or more. Even during Obon we could play with almost no waiting time. Paid gazebos are around the deeper pool area, but they’re far from the splash zone so we didn’t make much use of them. - Indoor pool (sports club) The pool section under the slide was too shallow; my child hit their bottom hard and complained of pain for two days—it felt unsafe. The attached bath area was nice, but children must leave by 6:00 p.m. - Kids Oasis My preschooler enjoyed it, but my third-grader got bored quickly. It would be great if there were manga or travel magazines that adults could read as well. - Overall We were satisfied because we got to see our child smiling throughout our stay; next time we’d like to return on different dates and stay on the club floor again.

The pool was great.
The renovated pool was very satisfying. However, the toilet in the Room had a strong odor from the equipment, to the point that I felt it would be better to bring a deodorizer. As for the baths, “Full Moon” after the renovation was good, but on the first night at “New Moon,” there were extremely few washing stations—only six—and after waiting due to entry restrictions, we then had to line up naked and wait for more than 10 minutes. Even at “Full Moon,” although there were washing stations, the changing area was overcrowded and unreasonably packed. In addition, there was no guidance at check-in about cleaning during a Multiple Night Stay, and until the evening of the second night I didn’t realize I needed to scan the QR code in the Room to make a request. In the end, I had no choice but to ask them only to collect the trash. Even if check-in was handled by someone in training, I felt that basic information should always be communicated.

The pool and Pine Terrace are available.
It feels like only the hardware has been upgraded, while the software side hasn’t kept up—both staffing and service. - I couldn’t use the Diamond member benefits. - I received a single email at the last minute about a dinner time change. For guests coming from far away, this could disrupt their schedule. - Even after using the self check-in machine, I still had to line up at the front desk—inefficient and extremely crowded. - Breakfast at Pine Terrace was so crowded that I went to another venue, but it felt like a student training camp meal, with huge inconsistency in quality and taste. - If breakfast gets that crowded, why not assign time slots like dinner? And if Reservations can be made via QR code, it should be explained at check-in in advance. In any case, having no announcement at all is unfriendly. - The bath capacity is far too small for a property of this size; I couldn’t enter due to admission restrictions. - Some Facilities show signs of age. - I recommend bringing your own amenities. Overall, there was a noticeable lack of guidance and announcements, and I often ended up walking back and forth unnecessarily around this large Hotel. It was also almost impossible to get through by phone. It may be an Accommodation designed for people from Kyushu who already know this Hotel well, but guests also come from other regions. Since the building itself is great, it feels wasteful that the service hasn’t caught up—so this is my rating. As for meals: Pine Terrace deserves a 5/5, but the food at what looked like a wedding venue was truly sloppy (1/5), so averaging them gives 3/5 overall. It was really disappointing—I paid again just to eat at Pine Terrace. The pool made my kids absolutely thrilled, so personally that alone satisfied me; I recommend the pool. All staff were relaxed and kind people. Since it’s not an easy place to visit often, I wanted to make better use of it—but I’ll learn for next time.

Enjoy the sea, gourmet cuisine, and Onsen—all while staying at the Hotel!
I have used club floors many times in Tokyo and Yokohama, but this Hotel’s club floor had so many unique attractions. From our high-floor Room, we enjoyed views of the ocean and the golf course, the sunrise, and at night a moon road; during this season, the daily fireworks were right in front of us and incredibly powerful. Alcohol is available even during tea time from 8:00 until evening, so after the pool we went to the Onsen and enjoyed Miyazaki craft beer. You can also choose your pillow, and there are six breakfast options (including a buffet). On day one we chose Italian, and on day two Japanese—where we could also try Miyazaki eel hitsumabushi—making it perfect for us as a couple at an age when a buffet can feel too heavy. After checking in, we signed up for the Hotel’s free membership program and were able to buy souvenirs with a 10% discount, which was a great deal.

I waited an hour in ...
I waited an hour in the check-in line, and at dinner time the elevator wouldn’t stop even after a 15-minute wait. It felt like there were simply too many guests for the Hotel’s capacity, and it was frustrating to see guests inconvenienced in so many ways because of that.

A Luxurious Stay on the Club Floor
It was very lively with many guests due to the summer vacation season. However, I think the added Splash Area helped spread out the crowds. I’ve been coming here since it was a Sheraton, and I feel the quality of the food has declined slightly (though overall I’m satisfied). The break time on the Club Floor was very comfortable. There was always seating available, and it was perfect for a quick change of pace. The wine at KUROBAR was also delicious.

We had a wonderful summer vacation.
We stayed for two nights in a family-type Room with my son’s family. The Room was spacious and comfortable, and we could see the fireworks right in front of us. My impressions: 1) The poolside BBQ used high-quality ingredients and was delicious. The Chinese dinner on the second night was also excellent, and we were very satisfied. 2) During the day, Clover was set up as a paid rest area. Being allowed to bring in food and enter even while still wet from the pool was wonderful. It was cool and comfortable. 3) There were long lines at check-in and check-out. I used the self check-in machine downstairs and got into the Room quickly, but it seemed some people took about an hour. At check-out, it was before 9:00 a.m., but there were only two front desk staff members, so it took time. At check-in, there are many items to explain, and some guests were operating the app on the spot as well, so I think this area needs improvement. However, overall it was another great stay as always. Thank you very much.

Spectacular View from the Room
We stayed on the Club Floor for four nights. The view of the fireworks from 8:00 PM from our Room and the Club Lounge was amazing. Since it was July, all the restaurants serving breakfast were crowded with families. We would like to come again during a quieter time, outside the busy summer season.

This was my first time using it.
This was my first time staying here. When I arrived at the Hotel, I couldn’t find the front desk, so I asked a staff member nearby. I was only told it was on the second floor, and even though I had luggage, I wasn’t shown where the elevator was. The Room was spacious and clean, and the food was delicious, so this was disappointing. It was also far and hard to find the way to the large public bath.

The Club Floor is the best.
I stayed here with my daughter for the first time in 20 years. I have fond memories of how comfortable it was back then, so I had high expectations this time as well—especially for the delicious food and the well-equipped facilities such as the Onsen and pool. This visit left me with the same great impression. This time we stayed on the Club Floor, and it was extremely comfortable. The sweets at tea time, the food served from early evening, and even draft beer and sparkling wine in the morning—excellent. There seemed to be plenty of seating, and since it was a weekday we were able to relax at a leisurely pace. As expected of Miyazaki, there was also a wide selection of shochu, and we even got to try some rare varieties. The food selection was wonderful too—from fresh vegetables to Italian dishes and even tonjiru (pork miso soup). On our first day we played night golf, and for guests, rental clubs and shoes were free of charge. As beginners, we really appreciated that. The round itself was very comfortable as well. For breakfast, we tried both the buffet and the Italian option, and both were excellent. If I were staying just one night again, I’d have a hard time choosing between them. Since this is a large Resort Hotel, we met many staff members during our stay. In particular, the ladies at the lounge were very kind and made us feel relaxed. Thank you very much. We will be back again.

A stay that left serious doubts about the Club Floor operations and how the benefits were handled
[What I Liked] The spectacular view from the 40th floor and the spacious guest room were truly wonderful. In terms of the facilities, I was able to relax and enjoy a luxurious stay. [What Concerned Me] I stay more than twice a month at a wide range of properties, from high-end hotels such as InterContinental in Japan and abroad, and luxury Ryokan, to more casual Accommodation. This stay was extremely disappointing: despite the excellent facilities, shortcomings in staff operations and poorly delivered benefits stood out. My biggest disappointment was a critical lack of information at check-in regarding the private bath included as a Club Floor benefit. I had been looking forward to “Oyunomiya,” produced by Kaoru Kundo Oyama, but the staff member only confirmed my preferred time and proceeded with arrangements without asking whether I wanted “Hanare-yu” instead. When I became concerned and checked two hours later, I was told that “Oyunomiya is fully booked on both days.” Another staff member apologized, but due to the initial failure to confirm my preference, I was not even given the chance to choose—leaving me deeply dissatisfied. In addition, the IKYU Diamond benefits felt largely nominal. There was no explanation about any room upgrade, and when we arrived we were immediately told that a one-hour late check-out was “not possible.” Even if it depends on availability, the response felt purely procedural and made me question whether there was any intention to apply these benefits at all. I also have concerns about service in the lounge and at breakfast. As we do not drink alcohol, we were looking forward to mango juice; however, by 2:00 p.m. less than half remained. After each of us had one glass it ran out completely—and it was never replenished even once until checkout the next day. Furthermore, breakfast on the 42nd floor as part of the Club Floor benefit had an extremely limited selection compared with other hotels in this price range, which was very disappointing. My spouse and I felt that breakfast at “Pine Terrace” would have been far more satisfying. Because the facilities were otherwise flawless, the low service level that failed to make use of them—and unclear handling of benefits—stood out all too clearly. I strongly hope for serious reflection and fundamental improvements.

As expected from Seagaia! Recommended for a Multiple Night Stay.
The room was excellent. It was unclear whether to use self check-in or the staffed counter. Even though the self check-in area was available, more than a dozen groups were lined up waiting.

The breakfast is very delicious.
I made a Reservation on the club floor. The woman at reception noticed it was my birthday month and, since a Room was available, upgraded me to a suite. It was almost too spacious. The view from the Room window was amazing, and I was able to spend my time in an elegant, luxurious way. What I look forward to most is breakfast. Breakfast on the 42nd floor is special in every way, with an exceptional menu. This time as well, it was wonderful and I was completely satisfied. The bath facilities are excellent too.

We had a relaxing stay.
I enjoy Hotel stays three to four times a month. Whenever I arrive at Seagaia, time always seems to slow down. I think the comfort comes from the guests and the kindness of the staff. I stay at many luxury Hotels, but sometimes I notice a lack of attentiveness or moments that don’t feel polished. At this Hotel, guests are considerate and courteous toward one another. The view from the Room is outstanding, and both the concierge and part-time staff are warm, making the lounge extremely comfortable as well. Even when it gets busy, the staff work efficiently, so I never feel stressed. It’s a wonderful Hotel that makes me want to return regularly. It’s impressive that its quality remains steady even through frequent rebranding.

Lounge and Odors
It was my first stay at Seagaia in a while. My child was thrilled that there was a lounge, but the selection was limited and it felt disappointing. Also, the Room smelled musty, like mold... I informed the staff, and they showed me several Rooms of the same type, but almost all of them had the same smell. I’m not sure if my sense of smell is just very sensitive, but the staff said they couldn’t notice it. I suspect it may be coming from the air conditioning. Since I have asthma, I was worried, but fortunately it only caused some throat irritation. If you have asthma, I recommend bringing an inhaler or similar medication with you.

I had set my expectations too high.
I am extremely disappointed. The club lounge offered very little food, and it was not worth paying the high price to stay on the club floor. In addition, the staff’s service was poor. Although we stayed in a suite, we had to carry our own luggage and the guidance was careless; instead of feeling relaxed and pampered, we ended up feeling uncomfortable. I do not think I will ever use this Accommodation again.

Your First Time in Miyazaki
This was my first stay. Perhaps as a membership benefit, I was upgraded to a Club Room. I mistakenly assumed, as with other hotels, that “club floor” meant access to a lounge and used it briefly—my apologies. Although the property shows its age, the view from the Room was wonderful, everything was kept very clean, and the Starbucks staff were very kind, so I was able to relax and enjoy my time. There is also a pool and a children’s play area, so I hope to return someday with my grandchildren. Thank you very much.

The Corner Twin is disappointing.
On my previous stay, I used a Deluxe Double Room and was very satisfied, so this time I made a Reservation for the slightly more expensive Corner Twin. However, in the end, I did not feel it was worth the extra cost and was disappointed. It was described as “a Room type located on the corner of a prism-shaped Hotel with a wonderful view,” but in reality we were assigned to a lower floor, and the view was limited to what seemed like a wedding venue Facility and some forest—less impressive than expected. When I tried to leave my luggage before check-in, there was no cloakroom staff present. After asking at the front desk, I was only told to “please wait over there,” with no follow-up or alternative support. It gave me the impression that they would not get involved in matters outside their responsibility, which was disappointing in terms of service. On the other hand, we had both breakfast and dinner at Pine Terrace, and both were delicious and satisfying. Also, my child enjoyed spending time at the indoor pool.

The ocean view that greets you the moment you step into the Room is breathtaking. We stayed for three nights and felt truly relaxed. The view was wonderful.
I was worried about the age since it’s over 30 years old, but thanks to major renovations it was clean enough. The long coastline could be seen all at once, and it felt wonderful. The staff were courteous, and I was able to relax in the lounge as well. The Italian food was delicious, and the breakfast buffet was more than sufficient. What surprised me most was the private bath—if it’s available, you can use it for one hour. Gazing at the moon and stars, soothed by the sound of insects, feeling the pleasant night breeze, with the gentle tones of a shishi-odoshi in harmony—it felt like such a luxurious time. I never expected to have an experience like this at a Hotel, so I was very happy. Highly recommended.

The sunrise over the sea was beautiful.
We stayed here for our wedding anniversary trip. While the exterior does feel a bit dated, the guest room was spacious, and we were very satisfied to be able to see the sunrise over the sea. We used the Onsen, and while it was great, it was quite far from our room—so far that we felt we might get chilled on the way back in winter. The buffet offered a good variety and was delicious, but the Japanese-style breakfast had limited options, and unfortunately the eel we wanted to try was sold out.

I’ve stayed here many times. Everyone was happy with the spacious Room we had for the first time. However, the bath is still quite far away. The food was delicious, and the rice balls and croissants were especially good. I’d definitely like to visit again.
