    First-time use

    I had business in Shibuya and chose this Hotel because it’s close to the station. I made a Reservation thinking I’d stay at a more upscale Hotel, and it was absolutely the right choice. The night view was wonderful, the Room temperature control was comfortable, and I opted for breakfast (Japanese style)—the rolled omelet and freshly cooked rice were excellent. Next time, I’d like to use the lounge.

    It meets the passing mark, but

    As many others have noted, there are no comparable high-rise buildings nearby, so the views from the Room and the Executive Lounge are truly outstanding. In addition, the Japanese-style Cerulean Lounge on our floor has high ceilings and a spacious feel, and with its wide selection of traditional sweets and tea snacks, my wife and I were able to enjoy matcha at a leisurely pace and spend calm time together (more than once). That said, there were several disappointing points—perhaps better described as not meeting expectations. The most disappointing was breakfast at “Caramel.” It used to receive high praise from many guests, but this time both the quality and taste of the food fell short, and many items were served lukewarm. Also—speaking frankly—it may have been only on the day we visited, but because the overall guest behavior was not very considerate, we could not enjoy our meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Parents who continued eating without trying to soothe a screaming toddler next to us; parents who did not correct children repeatedly running up and down the aisle bumping into people; families dining while wearing hats (this last point is simply about manners). All of them appeared to be from a certain country. It is likely more an issue of parenting than something for which the Hotel is directly at fault (though if staff noticed it, I would have appreciated some intervention), but it was something I rarely encounter at a Hotel of this class—hence this comment. Second was a decline in the food presentation in the Executive Lounge. Overall it wasn’t bad, but there were several items that didn’t taste quite right—and above all, I was disappointed by how limited the selection was, including during cocktail time. As one of the lounge staff mentioned, recent inflation has begun affecting both quality and portion sizes of what can be offered, so I understand there are unavoidable factors. Even so, for a Hotel in this class—especially under Japan’s Tokyu brand—I honestly hope they will push harder rather than give in. Third is that some in-room facilities feel dated; however, they will likely be renovated eventually, so this is simply an observation about their current condition. As I write this review and consider where these negative feelings come from, I realize my benchmark has been my previous stay in The Capitol Hotel Tokyu’s Garden Suite in Tameike-Sanno. Had I stayed here first instead of there later on—or vice versa—I believe my evaluation would have been more favorable. Still، because I don’t want you to become complacent with being No. 1 in Shibuya، I hope you will continue striving to catch up with—and surpass—the flagship property for even greater progress. I will return again.

    Club Floor

    It was my first stay in a while. I fully enjoyed the Club Floor and the newly opened floor. I was satisfied with everything, including the meals, sweets, and drinks. The view from the Room was wonderful—simply the best.

    The biggest highligh...

    The biggest highlight of our two-night stay was the wonderful support we received from Mr./Ms. T, who was helping out in the Executive Lounge from another department. Not only was their language impeccably polite, but their warm manner—anticipating how I felt and responding accordingly—really stood out. They may not realize it at all, but I was deeply impressed by their thoughtful, understated gestures and consideration. They must have been extremely busy, yet they always carried themselves with calm composure, which truly moved me. My companion had just been discharged from the hospital, so we were unsure how things would go, but we were fortunate to be cared for by every member of the Hotel staff who assisted us. We are truly grateful. My companion will be hospitalized again soon, but says they will do their best while remembering how enjoyable these two nights were. Thank you very much. We will definitely return.

    We stayed for two ni...

    We stayed for two nights during Golden Week and truly enjoyed a fulfilling, relaxing stay. First, we had the teppanyaki lunch, and it was perfect for us. The atmosphere, service, and cooking were all excellent. It was so good that we felt it was the best hotel teppanyaki we have ever had. Check-in at the Executive Lounge begins with a welcome drink. We have stayed here several times, and this time we felt the food and beverages were of the highest quality yet. Even during busy hours, the staff kindly checked on our drinks multiple times. Their attentive care and gentle service made us feel at ease. The dishes served were well presented and beautifully arranged. It was highly satisfying. For our guest room, we were assigned a Room with a wonderful view. From the in-room amenities, cleanliness, view from the window, and Hotel staff service to their appropriate judgment when an issue occurred in our Room due to our mistake—we could feel hospitality in every detail. We are deeply grateful to housekeeping for their prompt response despite being busy. As I could not thank you in person, please allow me to do so here: Thank you very much.

    The club lounge is excellent.

    It was my first time staying in Shibuya in a while. I finished my errands early and decided to make the most of the club lounge. Choosing this hotel was absolutely the right decision. All of the staff were wonderful. Spending time in the lounge with light snacks and carefully selected teas (I don’t drink alcohol), while enjoying the night view, felt truly luxurious. Breakfast was delicious as well… and at the Japanese-style lounge, I enjoyed some soft-serve ice cream. The L’OCCITANE gifts and amenities were a lovely touch. It had been a long time since I’d been able to relax and enjoy such unhurried time—it felt like a little escape from reality (haha). They also kindly offered late check-out, and even after checking out, they invited me to have a drink in the lounge. My husband and I have been saying we’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    This is a wonderful Hotel.

    Conveniently located near the station, I found the location to be excellent. At check-in, all of the staff were extremely courteous and handled the procedures very efficiently. In the club lounge, you can enjoy wonderful views unique to the higher floors. In addition, there is a wide variety of food and drinks available, and because seating is well spaced out, I was able to relax comfortably. The Room likewise offered a lovely view from the window, and the in-room amenities are consistently modern, so there was nothing lacking for a comfortable stay. Although the bathroom is a unit bath overall it felt very convenient. There is also a hot bath Facility on-site, which is a great option for those who prefer it. The breakfast buffet was also excellent, with a broad selection ranging from vegetables to meat and fish, as well as bread and sweets. It was also impressive that there are many sauce options for made-to-order egg dishes, making it fun to choose. Thanks to all of this, it was an extremely satisfying stay. This is a Hotel I would definitely like to visit again.

    No particular drawbacks.

    The front desk service, the cleanliness of the Room, and the meals at Caramela—everything was exactly the quality we were hoping for. Getting there from Shibuya Station was a bit hard to figure out and caused some trouble. With ramps and pedestrian bridges, you’ll need an umbrella, so it may be a little challenging on rainy days or in midsummer. Since it’s only about a one-meter taxi ride away, taking a taxi also feels unnecessary. It isn’t widely advertised, but there is also a convenience store inside the Hotel building. There were many international guests, but no one was particularly noisy.

    We were able to celebrate a wonderful wedding anniversary.

    We chose a Plan for our wedding anniversary stay that included lounge access and a Hotel coupon worth JPY 5,000 per person. Since the coupon required charges to be posted to the Room, we first checked in at the Executive Lounge (the lounge). With the staff’s kind help, they made a Reservation for Szechwan Restaurant Chen (Chen), and once our table was secured we headed there for lunch. The staff also delivered our luggage to our Room—much appreciated. In the meantime, we were thrilled to catch a faint view of Mt. Fuji from the lounge. At check-in, the lounge staff congratulated us on our anniversary and gave us celebratory sweets, which was another lovely touch. They also informed Chen about our anniversary, so we even received a surprise message plate from the restaurant—an amazing start before we had even entered our Room. After returning to our Room and relaxing for a while, we went back to the lounge again. It was close to 4:00 p.m., so it wasn’t too crowded; we were shown to the seat we wanted and enjoyed dessert and drinks before heading back up feeling completely satisfied. Our Room was on a high floor with luxurious views of Docomo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, and Tokyo Tower all at once, so we fully enjoyed the city scenery. Later, we made the most of cocktail time and nightcap service in the lounge. There was an excellent variety of both drinks and food—enough to serve as dinner. The bathroom is combined with the toilet area, so it wasn’t really a place to unwind in a long bath; however, the night view was beautiful and complimentary drinks in the refrigerator kept us comfortable in our Room. Housekeeping was thorough, and the bed was very comfortable. For breakfast, I chose Sakuraoka’s yudofu set with natto served with freshly cooked rice in an individual pot. The tofu portion was easy to finish quickly, while the natto beans were surprisingly large and very satisfying. Both were delicious. Thanks to my IKYU Diamond member benefits (a rate service), we took it easy until 1:00 p.m., spending time between our Room, the lounge, and The Cerulean Lounge on level LB before checking out at the lounge. It has been a long time since I stayed at such a well-serviced Hotel—I’m glad we chose The Cerulean. I’d be happy to stay again if I have another chance. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

    Bathroom with a view

    I booked a Room with Cerulean Lounge access, but there was no explanation at check-in. After a while, the Room phone rang and I was told that they had forgotten to explain the lounge and that a staff member would come to the Room to explain it, but the staff member who came did not speak perfect Japanese. I understood it somehow, but I hesitated to ask additional questions and decided not to. The lounge was casual and easy to use, with a satisfying minimum selection of snacks and drinks. The lounge staff were excellent. The Hotel’s signature view bath could not be enjoyed in winter because the window glass fogged up. Perhaps to prevent fogging, the bathroom temperature felt a bit low; even after filling the tub with hot water, it seemed to cool quickly. It made me think summer might be a better time to visit. I chose Japanese breakfast; it was average. Housekeeping was done properly. It was nice that a hair iron was provided along with the hair dryer. There were plenty of towels, which I really appreciated. The L’OCCITANE amenities were also lovely.

    It was a wonderful Room with a great view.

    This was my first stay. The Room was spacious enough, and above all, the view from the Room was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable, and the desk was easy to use. For breakfast, I personally recommend the Japanese set meal. They serve rice cooked in a traditional pot.

    For the past few yea...

    For the past few years, we have been welcoming the New Year at Cerulean Tower. The first sunrise of the year can be enjoyed from the guest rooms without any crowds, offering a peaceful experience. For breakfast, at Sakura-ga-oka, traditional "Osechi" dishes are prepared, and the staff warmly welcomes guests. The Executive Lounge staff has seen an increase in younger members, but their attentive service to each guest creates a warmer hospitality compared to other Hotels. During the New Year's event, we get our portraits drawn every year. We frame them and line them up in our hallway by year; my wife and I laugh together as we notice how these honest portraits reflect us aging over time!

    First-class style

    The hardware is perfect, but the software is lacking. None of the Hotel staff showed any sense of care or compassion. Growing up in Kyoto, I remember when I moved to Tokyo as a teenager and asked a taxi driver, "Where is XX?" only to be told, "I don't know." It felt like that. With such a prime location, it should be bustling with guests, but it wasn’t very crowded. Don’t get too complacent—your pay might take a hit!

    It was a good Hotel.

    Good Points: The room is very clean, and the facility does not feel outdated. Conveniently located near the station. Great view from the room with large windows. Received a complimentary upgrade without additional charges. The bathroom is spacious. Areas for Improvement: Unable to connect to the front desk from the room phone (possibly because it was before check-out). Parking fees are expensive. Accommodation rates could be more affordable for better accessibility. No door for the toilet. The TV cannot tilt towards the sofa side.

    It was comfortable.

    Arriving at the Hotel front desk on a hot and rainy day, I was delighted to receive a cold towel immediately after closing my folding umbrella. During breakfast, when I placed my medicine on the table, water was promptly provided, which showed thoughtful care. The guest room was spacious and comfortable, with high-quality amenities that were excellent.

    The Best Hotel

    It was a wonderful stay, especially the Club Lounge, which was exceptional. Unlike some chaotic lounges in other international hotels recently, this one offered a calm atmosphere, beautiful views, diverse presentations, and outstanding hospitality from the staff. This is what true Club Lounge service should be. As it was my birthday stay, I received lovely gifts in the room and at the lounge. Many staff members also extended their warm birthday wishes to me, making me feel truly happy. I also used the gym and pool facilities. The locker room and all areas were well-maintained and very pleasant. Luckily, I had the pool and jacuzzi all to myself at that time and enjoyed a relaxing moment in a sunlit sparkling space. During a casual conversation where I mentioned my love for TWG tea, they kindly handed me some tea in an envelope as I was leaving—a thoughtful gesture that made my experience even more delightful until the very end. While it is indeed an older building with years of history behind it, its charm remains intact through careful maintenance and renovations that blend tradition with modern sensibilities. It’s truly an excellent accommodation offering top-notch hospitality. I look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you so much for everything!

    As soon as I entered the Room, I felt an overwhelming humidity. When I turned on the dehumidifier, the humidity level was 78%. This level of humidity promotes rapid growth of mold and dust mites. Additionally, there were numerous strands of someone's hair stuck to the bathroom ceiling. And all this for 80,000 yen per night...

    A Stay Enchanted by Gracious Hospitality

    I stayed in a room with hotel credit included. When I mentioned during the reservation that I wanted to use the hotel credit at the restaurant, I received a prompt and courteous call, which heightened my excitement even before my stay. During my stay, all staff members, including those at the front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping, provided attentive service that made my experience consistently pleasant. Although I was not on a club floor and did not expect lounge access, I was guided to the lobby lounge and was amazed by how exceptional it was beyond my expectations. The tea and snacks were plentiful and left a particularly strong impression on me. The only disappointment was that during the night, the charger next to the bed detached from its board and fell off. This required staff assistance to resolve in order to avoid further trouble. Other than this issue, it was an extremely comfortable stay that left me highly satisfied. This time I chose not to book a club floor due to evening plans but would love to try it next time. While The Capitol Hotel Tokyu is also one of my favorites, this hotel has its own unique charm that's equally appealing!

    The hotel is located on a slight uphill from the station, so I took a taxi. There were bathrobes provided, and the amenities were well-stocked. Breakfast included some rare ingredients, and the staff promptly cleared plates after finishing, making it a comfortable experience.

    I had a very comfortable stay.

    In the scorching heat of August in Shibuya, I faced difficulties going out due to issues with my shoes, but I had a very relaxing and pleasant time in two lounges. The atmosphere of the Executive Lounge was excellent, but what left an even stronger impression was the Cerulean Lounge. For someone like me who can only travel nearby at the moment, the strong Japanese elements made me feel as if I were on a domestic trip, bringing warmth and comfort. The collection of books was also incredibly fascinating. Next time, I’d love to spend more time leisurely reading there.

    Very good Hotel.

    I have previously expressed concerns about the "Front Desk" and "Karumera." My apologies for that. This time, everything was excellent. At check-in, while breakfast explanations were skipped last month, this time they were provided clearly and concisely. The explanation about the hotel credit was also perfect. Thank you to S, the foreign staff member! K from Karumera also guided us with beautiful Japanese. It made me feel very pleasant. The location, view, facility—this is a wonderful hotel. It is on par with Forbes Four-Star standards. However, the hospitality from staff remains disappointing at times. At Karumera, while offering a coffee refill was appreciated, an empty milk pitcher was completely ignored—this detracts from a sense of luxury. During check-out as well, there were only two staff members at the front desk; I had to wait slightly despite there being 400 rooms in total—is this sufficient? There wasn’t even space to place luggage during this process; again lacking in luxury feel. If aiming not to be a luxury hotel then my apologies for misunderstanding—but it’s such a great hotel that it feels like wasted potential!

    This time, I stayed ...

    This time, I stayed in a Room on the Executive Floor with a bath view, and the design was excellent. The bath was integrated with the washbasin area, providing a spacious and open feel. The closet was also a walk-in closet (WIC), making it very convenient to use. Regarding meals, I experienced both the Executive Lounge and Room Service. I really liked the Executive Lounge here; it was calm and relaxing. Unlike lounges in many tourist areas that tend to be chaotic, this one was quiet with few people, allowing for a peaceful atmosphere. As for Room Service, I have one request: if possible, it would be helpful to include photos of the dishes on the menu. I wouldn’t want to leave any of your delicious food uneaten, so being able to gauge portion sizes through pictures would be greatly appreciated.

    L'Occitane amenities provided.

    Check-in at the lounge was a relaxing start to our stay. The view from the high floors in Shibuya was vibrant, sparkling, and absolutely stunning. The lounge was quiet, possibly due to the age restriction, which made it truly enjoyable. All the staff were incredibly friendly and kind with warm smiles! The drinks in the lounge included original cocktails that were tempting to try, and I loved indulging in plenty of TWG tea. Although I initially thought that food might not be fresh due to less crowding in the lounge, they frequently checked on it, rearranged presentations, replaced items as needed, and even prepared drinks for us—making it an exceptional lounge experience. There is also a Japanese-themed lounge on the lobby floor with individually portioned sweets that were perfect for a quick treat when craving something sweet. Our room on the 36th floor offered views of both Tokyo Tower and Skytree. The scenery could even be enjoyed from the bathroom—a truly relaxing escape from everyday life. While the sofa faced away from the window making it less ideal for enjoying views directly outside, being on such a high floor allowed us to feel close to airplanes passing by—we found ourselves watching them fly by one after another. I was delighted with all of L'Occitane amenities provided—it felt like such a treat! Additionally, while many accommodations seem lax about infection control measures these days, this hotel had hand sanitizers placed throughout various locations. The private restrooms in lounges even had air purifiers installed; many staff members wore masks too—making me feel reassured about staying here during times when infectious diseases are prevalent. For those advocating against mask-wearing policies: please continue prioritizing your staff's health by maintaining these thoughtful measures!

    A wonderful Hotel with exceptional hospitality

    Thank you for your hospitality. At check-in, the tall male front desk staff impressed me with his smart smile and polite service, which moved me as someone also working in customer service. He kindly explained each Diamond Member benefit and upgraded us to an Executive Room on a higher floor, even though lounge access was not included. Two days prior, I had called regarding parking and confirmed twice with a young female reservation staff member that parking fees are waived for reservations above the Standard Floor for Diamond Members. However, her curt response was that it would cost 4,000 yen. On the day of check-in, the male front desk staff assured me with a smile that parking is indeed free as part of the membership benefits—this resolved my concerns completely. The Executive Room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed—a truly comfortable stay. For dinner at "Karumera," we had pre-booked during their Curry Buffet Fair. The smooth guidance to our table and attentive service from the staff made us feel so welcomed that we ended up eating more than planned! For breakfast at "Sakuragaoka," we chose Japanese cuisine. The table decor featured vibrant green hypericum flowers adding a refreshing touch. I enjoyed grilled Saikyo-style salmon without any bones—soft and tender—and paired it with rice porridge topped with individually wrapped red plum pickles; everything was delicious. From check-in to check-out during two rainy days, your hotel's exceptional hospitality made this stay unforgettable—a perfect two-day experience despite the weather! I look forward to creating another opportunity to stay at your wonderful hotel again in the future. P.S.: After checking out, I realized I forgot to return my room key card stored in my smartphone case but promptly returned it when nearby—my apologies for this oversight!

    Just a short walk from the 1st floor of Elevator 45 at JR Shibuya Station New South Exit.

    We stayed as a group of four: myself, my two daughters, and my mother. Since we planned for Child Sharing Existing Bedding, we chose this accommodation based on the bed size and location. Bed guards were available to borrow, amenities were from L'Occitane, and the bathroom had a shower booth separate from the bathtub, which was very convenient. On the first day, we used the provided bath salts in the tub; on the second day, we added shower gel to create a bubble bath—it was so enjoyable! My child is 115cm tall; while size S kids' pajamas fit snugly at the waist but were short in length, size M was too long but still manageable—glad they were available to borrow. During our stay, we visited Disney and Puroland. Although navigating Shibuya Station was quite confusing at times, using JR lines made it more stroller-friendly. There’s a convenience store on the third floor of the hotel building as well as a Seven-Eleven across a slope nearby where we bought cut fruits—very handy! We didn’t opt for breakfast at the hotel but enjoyed exploring Shibuya’s many bakeries instead. It was fun walking around early in search of famous bakery shops! The room had Nespresso coffee machines with delicious coffee provided. Before heading out for bread shopping while everyone else slept in, I also used the gym pool facilities—they offered bottled water (the same type provided in-room) and towels free of charge. The service at this hotel was truly excellent!
