    Very satisfied.

    This was my third stay at the accommodation in six years. Thank you for upgrading my room, possibly because I made an early reservation through the site. The previous large hall "Omuro" has been renovated into a private dining area, allowing me to enjoy delicious meals both in the morning and evening. However, perhaps for better ventilation, the private room had lattice doors and an open ceiling, which made surrounding voices quite audible and slightly noisy—this was a bit disappointing. Other than that, the bath and staff service were excellent, and I would love to visit again. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    Great Accommodation

    We stayed for one night and two days with four adults. We truly appreciated the thoughtful hospitality from the warm welcome to our departure. The onsen was incredibly relaxing, with perfect temperature and spaciousness, including the open-air bath, allowing us to enjoy a leisurely soak. One minor disappointment was that while there were bath towels available in the bathing area, there were no smaller towels provided. It would have been convenient if they were placed in the same location. Additionally, I found the toothbrushes too hard; I realized it would have been better to bring my own in advance. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. The delicate menu items were carefully prepared, which brought us great joy. The portion sizes were just right as well. However, I found the crab miso soup overly salty and unfamiliar in taste, so I couldn’t drink it—this was unfortunate for me personally. Also, I didn’t enjoy the chicken meatballs due to personal preference; however, some family members found them tasty and enjoyed them. While there were a few other dishes that didn’t suit my taste perfectly among such an extensive variety of offerings, it’s rare for every single dish at any accommodation or restaurant to match one’s preferences entirely—this is almost like expecting a miracle! Therefore, this did not affect my overall rating. Above all else, your exceptional hospitality stood out as remarkable! My family thoroughly enjoyed staying at your spacious ryokan. Although we hesitated slightly about the price initially, we felt that it was more than worth it given how comfortable our stay turned out to be. We had private dining arrangements; however unfortunately our neighboring table of four adults spoke very loudly during their meal—it was quite disappointing but something beyond control that we endured patiently while eating. This seemed like an isolated incident though! The warm smiles of all staff members left a lasting impression—there is truly nothing more valuable than genuine smiles when offering hospitality! I highly recommend everyone visit this place at least once if possible! Since it was Saturday during our stay—we had live saxophone music performed—a wonderful experience indeed! This place offers an extraordinary escape from everyday life!

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my wife's return to work and as a gesture of appreciation for her efforts during childbirth and childcare. It was our first trip with our 4-month-old daughter, but the staff at the ryokan were incredibly attentive, accommodating even our smallest requests, allowing us to have a truly enjoyable time. We would love to stay here again. Not only as part of visiting Ito Onsen, but this accommodation itself made us want to return to Ito Onsen.

    A disappointing aspect.

    Having previously experienced the excellent hospitality at a sister Hotel, I had always wanted to stay here as well, and chose this occasion to celebrate a birthday. The service was outstanding, and I thoroughly enjoyed the bath multiple times. The thoughtful gesture of sparkling wine and red rice for the birthday celebration was much appreciated. However, one disappointing aspect was that three dishes containing allergy-inducing ingredients were served. Despite confirming allergy information three times—once after completing the Reservation, once on check-in day, and once more in between—this issue occurred. I managed with anti-allergy medication and ointment. The following morning, an apology was offered by the assigned staff member; however, it is clear that they were not responsible for this oversight. This situation felt unfortunate. I rated service 5 stars solely due to that staff member's efforts. Everything else about my stay was exceptional, which makes this incident all the more regrettable.

    Dissatisfied with pricing

    The quality of the cuisine and service was excellent, but I would not return. The pricing is too high for what is offered. This time, it cost 100,000 yen for two people, but I believe around 30,000 yen per person would be more reasonable. It may be a good choice if you are not concerned about cost performance.

    I had a relaxing and leisurely stay.

    Stayed one night with friends. From the welcome drink at the lobby to being escorted to the Room, enjoying matcha tea, and relaxing in the large public bath. The explanation of dinner and timing of dishes were handled with care and excellence. Even until the final farewell, every staff member provided attentive service, which was truly impressive. My friends expressed their desire to visit again, which made me very happy as well.

    Everything was completely satisfying.

    In April this year, my wife and I stayed at your accommodation for the first time. The facility was clean and wonderful, and both dinner and breakfast were incredibly delicious, leaving us completely satisfied. Above all, we were deeply moved by the exceptional hospitality of the staff. It was the most outstanding experience among all the accommodations we have ever used. Because of this, we planned a stay for six people, including my daughter and her husband, my son-in-law's parents, and my wife and me, as a family gathering and made a reservation. However, I was later diagnosed with lung cancer and underwent hospitalization and surgery at the end of August. Since two-thirds of my right lung was removed, I now use portable oxygen. At one point, I considered canceling the reservation, but with the support of my daughters and the warm consideration of Aoyama-san, we were able to enjoy a pleasant 1-night, 2-day stay. Additionally, my daughter, her husband, and my son-in-law's parents were all very pleased with the facility, the food, and the hospitality. Thank you so much for providing us with such a wonderful time.

    Parent-Child Trip

    Always a delightful experience with delicious meals and exceptionally attentive service. We usually opt for in-room dining, but this time we chose a private dining room, which was also very relaxing and enjoyable. Returning to the Room after the meal to find the futon already prepared made it even more comfortable and perfect for unwinding.

    The chime rang twice at 4 a.m., waking me up, and I couldn't fall back asleep afterward. After breakfast, while relaxing in the Room, an elderly person mistakenly entered my Room, which was unpleasant.

    Excellent hospitality

    We stayed with our 7-month-old baby and had a wonderful experience. The Facility shows some signs of age, but it is well-maintained and spotlessly clean, so there was no discomfort. The meals were plentiful and delicious. Above all, the staff's hospitality was exceptional; they were very kind to our baby, making the stay pleasant for both parents and child. As the location is far from the station, it might be more convenient to visit by car rather than by train. We would love to stay here again if we have another opportunity!

    The best accommodation experience!

    The accommodation was exceptional, with meticulous attention to detail. All the staff were polite and provided outstanding hospitality. Meals were served in the room, and not only was the food delicious, but they also kindly replenished water and tea during the meal service, which was greatly appreciated.     Used for my wife's birthday.

    The cleanliness of the accommodation, quality of service, meals, and facilities were excellent, allowing for a very comfortable stay. Although it was just a one-night stay, it made me wish to spend several more days there. What impressed me the most was the thorough employee training. All staff members, including a Myanmar-born staff member who assisted us with exceptional hospitality and attentiveness beyond expectations, truly embodied the spirit of hospitality. Additionally, I left something behind in the room but received prompt assistance with arranging delivery upon contacting them, which was incredibly helpful. I would love to stay here again in the future. Thank you so much for everything!

    This is my second stay.

    The first stay was with my wheelchair-bound mother. From the Reservation to the Accommodation, I felt it was a highly hospitable Accommodation and wanted to revisit, which led me to use it this time for a 60th birthday celebration. When our car entered the premises, several staff members ran out to greet us, and upon arriving at the entrance, their polite greetings and guidance made us feel truly welcomed and very happy. In the lobby, cold yuzu honey was served—it was very delicious. However, as it was a hot season and we had been sweating from sightseeing all day, I personally would have preferred unsweetened cold tea. Thank you for upgrading our Room. Upon entering the Room, matcha tea along with an original confectionery called "Aoyama" were served; both were delightful. The "Aoyama" confectionery is mildly sweet and moist—a truly delicious Japanese sweet that my mother particularly loved so much that she requested it as a souvenir for her upcoming visit home. The Room had large windows with great views; it was bright and very clean. While the washbasin area showed some signs of age in its Facility design, it was spacious, clean, and easy to use. The public bath Facility was used several times during our stay—it remained impeccably clean each time. The meals were delicious with just the right portions. Thank you for providing sparkling wine and red rice as part of your celebratory service during dinner—this thoughtful gesture added joy to our occasion. All staff members were courteous; in particular, our Room attendant (who appeared to be from abroad) spoke excellent Japanese with graceful manners—clearly reflecting your focus on staff training. As I had knee pain making prolonged sitting difficult, thank you for preparing a table in our Room upon request—it made things much more comfortable. For those who may have concerns or specific requests regarding their stay at this Accommodation: consulting directly with them is highly recommended. Points that could be improved: - The vending machine's tea selection ran out of stock during our stay; while we purchased tea from the souvenir shop instead without issue at that time—having signage indicating availability there when vending machines are out would be helpful. - The lighting near the water station next to the washbasin felt slightly dim. - It’s unfortunate that BS channels weren’t available in our Room. Although unrelated specifically to this recent experience: your sincere responses even toward negative Reviews reflect integrity—and likely contribute positively toward high Review ratings overall! Thank you again—we look forward eagerly towards staying here once more!

    A prestigious high-level Japanese Ryokan.

    The staff provided exceptional service, truly living up to the reputation of hospitality. For those who value high-level customer service, choosing Aoyama Yamato Ryokan is highly recommended. It felt like the best in Izu. Shuttle Service is available to and from the station, and guests are guided to their room with luggage assistance provided. Unlike other hotels at a similar price range where you might have to carry your own luggage or find your way to the room yourself, this ryokan offers heartfelt hospitality that reflects traditional Japanese values. The presence of a high-quality massage chair was also appreciated. Despite it being midsummer, there were no insects on the balcony thanks to effective measures—possibly using herbs that repel bugs—which was impressive. However, some areas could be improved: hand soap quality was disappointing compared to expectations for accommodations under 10,000 yen per night; additionally, complimentary bottled water (even 100-yen options) would have been appreciated. One highlight was the refined and courteous behavior of other guests which made for a stress-free stay. When initially provided only with a mattress for sleeping at night, upon request an extra luxurious futon was brought in promptly—ensuring excellent rest. The garden view from the room was stunningly beautiful and left a lasting impression. Even with No Meals Included stays, there are plenty of dining options nearby along with convenience stores and supermarkets which proved helpful. While there were minor personal concerns about certain aspects during my stay at this traditional Japanese ryokan steeped in heritage and charm—I hope these will be addressed over time!

    A Charming and Relaxing Accommodation

    For my birthday trip, I was told I could choose my favorite accommodation, and Aoyama Yamato came to mind. The delicious dishes served one by one, the hospitality of the staff, and the relaxing atmosphere of the accommodation were all wonderful. They even prepared a birthday surprise for me, which made me very happy. Thank you so much. This was my third stay here, and I definitely want to stay at this accommodation again in the future.

    Obon Holiday

    We visited during the Obon holiday and were initially a bit concerned as this accommodation had slightly more guests compared to where we usually stay. However, the staff provided excellent service that was well-organized yet personalized, making our stay very smooth and comfortable. In particular, the staff member who served our meals was professional and made our dining experience very pleasant. The food was delicious with just the right portions! My husband especially enjoyed the venison spare ribs. Both the Onsen in our room and the public bath were clean, and we would definitely like to return again!

    60th Birthday Celebration

    I visited this accommodation to celebrate my 60th birthday. Thank you for the room upgrade, celebratory sparkling wine and red rice, in-room dining, and all the thoughtful gestures. As always, I enjoyed the beautifully presented and delicious meals made with seasonal and local ingredients, the perfect temperature of the onsen with its natural hot spring water flow, and the attentive hospitality of all staff members. The consistently high-quality service befitting a luxury ryokan allowed me to relax and enjoy a wonderful 60th birthday celebration. Additionally, it coincided with the Anjin Festival fireworks display on that day, which we could view directly from our room—a truly luxurious experience. My sister was so impressed that she mentioned wanting to watch fireworks here every year from now on. This is such a lovely accommodation that it makes me want to visit Ito just to stay here!

    It was very relaxing.

    I decided to stay at this accommodation after seeing it introduced by a YouTuber. Last year, I had to cancel due to a typhoon, but this year I gave it another try, and I'm so glad I did. The cold towel at the entrance was impressive, the matcha tea in the room was delightful, the bath was refreshing, and above all, the delicious meals were truly memorable. The staff's hospitality was excellent, allowing me to enjoy my stay comfortably. If I have another opportunity, I would love to stay here again. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience!

    An accommodation you'll want to visit again and again.

    A warm welcome with a cold towel and smiles upon arrival, along with check-in at the lounge, made us excited about our stay from the very beginning. We were completely satisfied with the room, onsen, and meals. This time, I stayed with my daughter, but next month we plan to visit again with her family who also loves onsen. My grandchildren are very much looking forward to it as well. We look forward to our next visit!

    Pleasant service

    The staff were all very pleasant, making our stay enjoyable. There were several international staff members, and I was impressed by their polite language, bowing manners, and overall conduct, which showed they had thoroughly studied Japanese hospitality. Women could choose from a variety of yukata designs, and the service of enjoying matcha tea and sweets in the room after check-in was delightful. The onsen bath was pleasantly lukewarm for an onsen, allowing for a long soak without feeling tired. Additionally, nightly events held in the lobby added to the enjoyment of guests' stays. This thoughtful effort to entertain guests was much appreciated. If I had to point out an area for improvement, it would be that they did not accommodate preferences for disliked ingredients unless it was due to allergies. It is disappointing that this level of service—commonly offered even at accommodations or restaurants with lower grades—was not available at this rank of ryokan. My companion dislikes mushrooms; however, as stated beforehand by the ryokan's policy, mushrooms were included in various dishes without exception. This negatively impacted our dining experience despite everything else being excellent. Since meals play a significant role when choosing a ryokan accommodation plan, I hope this can be improved or at least clearly noted in plan descriptions so potential guests are aware beforehand. While such transparency might lead some people to exclude this accommodation from their options...

    It was a friendly accommodation.

    It was a three-generation trip with my grandchild who lives far away. Since it was my one-year-old grandchild's first Onsen trip, I had some concerns, but the accommodation kindly took various considerations, allowing us to have a very enjoyable time.     Memorable Ryokan

    I visited Aoyama Yamato with my mother, a place filled with memories of celebrating my late grandmother's 77th birthday last year. The beautifully arranged garden, the ocean-view room (possibly upgraded), meals served in the room, and the chirping of birds—all were incredibly soothing. (Dinner was not as impressive as I remembered, but breakfast was excellent.) Spending time in a room that matched the atmosphere of the background in a photo we brought of my grandmother felt very nostalgic. The natural hot spring with its flowing source water had great quality and helped detoxify my fatigue. I liked it so much that I made a reservation for our next trip on the day we checked in. Later, when I told my aunt about it, she expressed interest in joining us, so we decided to revisit together as three. It seems this might become our new favorite accommodation!

    All the staff members were welcoming with warm smiles and excellent hospitality, making our stay very pleasant. Thank you to the shuttle service driver for kindly approaching us while we were waiting on a bench near the station. Special thanks to the young male staff member who guided us to our room for his thoughtful attention, polite service, and wonderful conversation. To Ms. T, the young female staff member who assisted us during dinner and breakfast: we truly enjoyed our conversations with you. Your attentive service and friendly demeanor made our meals relaxing and enjoyable—thank you! The private dining area, spacious Onsen facilities including gardens and rest areas, as well as the impeccably clean rooms, lobby, hallways, and elevator areas adorned with tasteful decorations all contributed to a highly satisfying stay. We would love to visit again!

    I stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my mother's birthday. The large room with a great view was wonderful. Upon arrival at the ryokan, the pleasant scent of flowers in the lobby was impressive. The shuttle service from Ito Station, check-in process, guidance to the room, and meal service were all handled with exceptional kindness and professionalism by every staff member. During our meal, we were delighted to receive a celebratory bottle of juice as part of their thoughtful hospitality. The quality and temperature of the hot spring water and the meal content exceeded expectations. After dinner, complimentary ice cream was provided as an additional kind gesture. Although I consider this an exception and did not factor it into my overall impression, one disappointing experience involved an older female staff member at the bath's front desk. After checking in around 3:30 PM when I went up to use the bath area, she stared intently while I was having a drink nearby. When I asked about which direction led to "Men's Bath" since signage wasn’t visible clearly—her abrupt response shouting rudely “That way!” felt unwelcoming compared rest team’s courteous demeanor. Despite minor incident mentioned above—it remains excellent accommodation worth revisiting again!

    The meals were generally delicious, but the rice was disappointing. It was cold and dry... both at night and in the morning. Honestly, even family restaurants serve warmer rice. Since this is not a budget accommodation, it would be nice if the quality matched the price.
