    Sounds good.

    We stayed in a special room, and in addition to the Onsen there was another bath, so we could enjoy alternating between the cold bath and the Onsen. The open-air bath at the large public bath “Tsuki-no-Yu” was wonderful, with a refreshing breeze passing through. Regarding meals: The prices for shochu bottles and by-the-glass orders felt unbalanced. Ordering by the glass probably costs more because it takes more work. There was also meat at breakfast, but the portions were sufficient, so it felt unnecessary. This Accommodation is rare these days in that almost all staff are Japanese. From a management perspective, I was curious how they make that possible. I think it’s wonderful.

    Special Suite

    It was a calming Japanese-style Room. I was a bit concerned about a slightly musty smell in the Room, and when I ordered two draft beers via room service, one glass had a sea-like odor (like abalone)... so I switched the refill to bottled beer. Also, the cold water in the pot tasted a bit like chlorine or something unusual. I think it might have been the ice, but please improve this. Still, it was a Ryokan that made me want to visit again. Thank you again.

    Wonderful Accommodation

    Thank you very much for your thoughtful hospitality. You even prepared matcha for us, and we enjoyed it very much. The Room and bathroom were clean, and we had a very comfortable stay. The view from the Room was wonderful—we were moved to be able to take in the sea, mountains, and sunrise all at once, accompanied by birdsong. The Onsen water quality was excellent, and our skin felt pleasantly moisturized even after bathing. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    A place you’ll want to make your go-to accommodation.

    Thank you very much for taking care of us for three nights. The hot spring was great, the hospitality was even better, and the food was absolutely outstanding. We truly enjoyed the head chef’s creative cuisine—it was delicious. Thank you so much. However, during meals, the noise from infants and toddlers was a bit disappointing. Also, in the large public bath washing area, we noticed a slight sewer-like odor. Still, we even received a coupon, so we’ll be back again soon. We look forward to seeing you again… Thank you very much.

    We had a very comfortable stay.

    This was my first stay in over 10 years. It isn’t flashy, but everything was very clean, the staff were attentive, and we were upgraded to a higher-floor Room with a great view. The Onsen had different temperatures indoors and outdoors; the lukewarm bath was perfect for soaking for a long time. With free-flowing natural spring water, the water felt soft, and the bathing area wasn’t crowded, so it was very comfortable. We could enjoy our meal in the Room at a relaxed pace, and additional drinks could be ordered via QR code, which made everything stress-free. Ideally I prefer staying in a bed, but with in-room dining, futons feel cleaner. If I had to make one suggestion, I’d be happy if you could consider offering a Plan with beds in a Japanese-style room and meals served at the dining venue as another option. Ito’s townscape was also nice for walking around, so I’d like to visit again in another season.

    A peaceful Accommodation you’ve finally found

    I love traveling solo to Izu, and I’ve visited three times since last year. Aoyama Yamato was, for me, an Accommodation where I finally found true peace and relaxation. For example, it was more helpful than I expected that even without making a Shuttle Service Reservation in advance, a shuttle regularly comes around to Ito Station (since travel schedules can easily change). Also, in the private dining rooms, thoughtful care is taken so that even a solo traveler like me can relax and enjoy the meal without feeling self-conscious. And of course, every dish was delicious—I ended up enjoying plenty of drinks as well (laughs). Both the younger and more experienced staff carried themselves with poise and worked briskly; just watching them made it clear that everything they do is for their guests. From each staff member, I felt sincere dedication and strong professionalism, and I was truly grateful for the good fortune of finding this Accommodation. Thank you very much for such a wonderful place to stay on my trip.

    Premium service in Ito.

    On a whim, I headed to Ito. I searched for places with meals included but couldn’t find many that looked appealing. I’d heard about Aoyama, so I decided to give it a try. In conclusion, it was great. The best part was the staff’s character at the Ryokan. Their service clearly showed how hard they work and how well they’ve been trained. The hospitality industry inevitably has many foreign staff these days. There were some here as well, and you could really feel how earnestly they served guests. A good old-fashioned large Hotel. It was a shame that facilities like the in-house club were closed, but I hope you keep going and help energize Ito. It was a wonderful stay.

    The staff in charge were wonderful.

    We used the day-use plan from 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM to celebrate a 60th birthday. After parking and walking toward the Ryokan, a staff member ran over and kindly offered to carry our luggage. The staff member in charge of our Room was also very polite, attentive, and charming, and we felt it was an excellent Ryokan. We were glad we chose to spend the celebration here. However, after dinner we went to the front desk to buy your specialty dried shredded daikon radish, but the supervisor checked behind the counter and then told us it was not available, so we could not purchase it. When it was time to leave and we had just stepped out of the Room, the front desk called and said that our departure time had passed by quite a lot and asked us to hurry. It was only 3 minutes past. I have never been told this at other Accommodation for being just 3 minutes late. After checkout, the supervisor saw us off (or followed behind us), but did not offer to carry our luggage at all, which was very disappointing. Because other staff members were wonderful, I decided on my star rating accordingly.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    When we stayed here previously, the service and meals were excellent, and the Facility was spotless, so we were very satisfied and decided to return again this time. We are very happy with our stay this time as well. However, after being shown to our Room, we were concerned that everything—setting dinner and breakfast times and ordering additional dishes and drinks—has changed to a system operated entirely on our own smartphones. Last time, we could decide these details while speaking directly with the staff, and those warm interactions were one of the highlights for us. This time we made a more luxurious Reservation than before, but having to use a smartphone or computer even after arriving at the Ryokan made us feel that it diminished the purpose of coming here to get away from everyday noise. We would be grateful if you continue to value the uniquely Japanese Ryokan spirit of hospitality in the future.

    Group trip for five people

    We originally made a Reservation for six people in one Room, but the group became five, so we changed to a smaller Room and rebooked. At check-in, you were able to move us to a slightly larger Room—thank you very much. The staff were very friendly, and we had a comfortable stay. There was a wide variety of dishes, and we were satisfied with both the presentation and the taste. We appreciated the complimentary coffee and ice cream service in the lobby after dinner, but I avoided the coffee due to caffeine. If possible, I would have liked to have coffee after breakfast instead.

    Couples’ Trip

    This was my first time staying at this Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and assisted me smoothly. Both the large public bath and the bath in my Room were very clean, and because the hot spring water was free-flowing from the source, my skin felt wonderfully smooth and I was able to relax both physically and mentally. Meals were served in the Room, so I could take my time without worrying about others, and everything was delicious. The staff’s service was truly excellent, which made my stay even more pleasant. I would love to stay here again.

    Top-quality service

    We stayed with our family to celebrate our baby’s 100-day ceremony and to relax. Even when our baby wouldn’t stop crying, the staff responded flexibly, which was a great help. The meals were delicious, and the Onsen was very relaxing. We would love to stay again.

    Thank you for taking care of us during my mother’s birthday celebration.

    I stayed at Aoyama Yamato again, a place full of memories from a trip 20 years ago when four families traveled together with our mom friends and one-year-old toddlers. Thank you for your thoughtful kindness in celebrating my mother’s birthday, which helped us create wonderful memories. It was still a lovely Accommodation, just as it was 20 years ago.

    We were extremely satisfied with this Accommodation!

    From the building to the large public bath, our Room, the in-room bath, the meals, and all the Accommodation staff, everything was absolutely satisfying! We had a truly wonderful time. Since we mentioned it was a birthday celebration, they served us drinks and sekihan (red bean rice), which really moved us. The kiriboshi daikon was also delicious! We were grateful that checkout is until 11:00, which allowed us to relax. The complimentary drinks after bathing and ice cream after dinner were a lovely touch. Aoyama Yamato is highly recommended!

    The bath was great.

    We went to Ito for the Onsen and delicious meals. The Hotel had a great view, and the bath was also very good. However, despite informing them in advance about ingredients I cannot eat, there was no consideration at all, and we were told that everyone would be served the same meal. It made me think, “How can you say things like ‘perfect for three-generation stays’ or ‘please come with children’?” There was zero sense of hospitality. I have stayed at many Hotels and Ryokan, but this was the first place that would not accommodate meal requests, and I do not plan to return to such an inconsiderate place.

    We stayed here again...

    We stayed here again after visiting two years ago with my mother, who uses a wheelchair. They prepared the same Room as last time, and my mother was deeply moved, saying it brought back memories. Because she has difficulty walking and cannot sit on the floor, they set up a simple bed in the Japanese-style Room, a stand for our luggage, and a care bath chair in the bathroom. I called in advance to discuss these needs directly, and I truly appreciate that they accommodated every request. The Room layout may vary, but for my mother it was very comfortable. She was also happy that she could enter the open-air bath in the Room without having to lift her legs high. A handrail would have made it even safer. There are a few steps leading to both the large public bath and the private bath. I assisted my mother to the private bath. The free-flowing natural hot spring water was wonderful; although compact, it had a lovely atmosphere, and both the changing area and facilities were kept very clean. Towels are provided there as well, so you can go empty-handed from your Room—exactly what you’d expect from an Accommodation proud of its baths. At dinner there seemed to be a small mix-up: one dish was briefly taken back after being served. It appeared that different ingredients had been used than intended; as soon as the staff member opened the lid they noticed immediately and remade it for us. I was impressed they caught it at once. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but checking by opening lids before serving would help avoid any rush. As with our previous stay, my mother was very satisfied thanks to everyone’s warm hospitality. For guests with disabilities, staying at an Onsen Accommodation can feel challenging—often even after making inquiries we’re told accommodations aren’t possible—but Aoyama Yamato responds thoughtfully when consulted in advance, even before making a Reservation. We initially booked because of how helpful they were on the phone; after actually staying here, I feel this is an invaluable Accommodation that helps families fulfill their wish to let loved ones experience free-flowing natural hot springs firsthand. We will definitely return again. Thank you very much.

    From the welcome to being shown to our Room and the explanation of the dishes, we received heartfelt service in every aspect. The food was delicious, and we were very satisfied with the attention to detail, including the beautiful tableware. The bath was also clean, and we were able to relax in wonderfully soothing water. We would definitely like to stay at this Accommodation again.

    A Highly Satisfying Stay

    We often choose places with great Reviews where we can enjoy good food and an Onsen. Seizan Yamato in Aoyama is a highly rated Ryokan, and I found a very reasonably priced Plan, so I decided to stay here. I really appreciated the Shuttle Service to Ito Station. Since we had stayed at another Accommodation the night before, we checked out and headed to Ito Station, but arrived far too early. I felt bad about it, but they kindly let us take the earliest shuttle (departing Ito Station at 1:30 p.m.). While we were planning to wait in the lobby, they not only served us delicious yuzu hot water, but also guided us to a larger Room than the one we booked because one was available—and even earlier than check-in time. The Room was truly spacious with a wonderful view. Soon after, they served matcha and Seizan’s special sweets, which were absolutely delicious. We were told the large public bath was already open, so we went right away. Both the indoor bath and open-air bath were spacious and very pleasant Onsen baths. Since the men’s and women’s baths switch at midnight, we tried the other side the next day. It was slightly smaller, but it was fun being able to enjoy the view from the open-air bath there as well. The Onsen water is clear and odorless with no noticeable taste, yet my dry elbows became smooth—I could really feel how good it was. The private bath was also reasonably priced at 1,650 yen. Perhaps because many families stay here, they even had toys prepared for children, which I thought was very thoughtful. And of course, meals were one of our biggest highlights. I took photos, but it’s such a shame that pictures can’t fully capture how delicious everything was. The broth had such great flavor that some guests apparently turned their shabu-shabu soup into rice porridge so it wouldn’t go to waste—so we tried it too, and it was truly excellent. I even told our attendant how amazing it would be with beaten egg and chopped green onions added. Breakfast was delicious as well. Not only were the Room(s), Onsen(s), and meals wonderful—everyone working there was genuinely kind and pleasant, which made our stay even better. There were also lovely surprises like ice cream and coffee after dinner plus small candy gifts. We had a wonderful time and would love to visit again.     A welcoming Accommodation on a hilltop in Ito with exceptional hospitality

    I stayed in a standard Room on the 6th floor, and it was spacious and relaxing, with a wonderful view from the veranda. Meals were served for both breakfast and dinner in a private dining room at the restaurant on the 1st floor. The dishes were carefully prepared using well-selected ingredients, and everything was truly delicious. There are two large public baths on the 6th floor, each with an indoor bath and an open-air bath, with separate hours for men and women. Since there aren’t many Rooms, it never felt crowded, so I could enjoy the Onsen at any time without worrying about congestion. There are also private baths available for an additional fee besides the large public baths. In the post-bath lounge, tea was provided, and there were free massage chairs as well. This Accommodation is designed with plenty of space throughout, so it never feels cramped anywhere. I think it’s perfect for anyone who wants to forget the busyness of everyday life and enjoy the Onsen and meals in a quiet, calm setting.

    A place worth visiting, an accommodation you'd want to return to.

    I visited here to enjoy the simmered whole golden eye snapper, drawn by its high review ratings. It exceeded my expectations in comfort, and I can see why there are so many repeat guests. The cuisine was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The room and bath were clean and spacious, with a stunning sunrise view that made for unforgettable memories. However... what truly makes me want to return is undoubtedly the warm smiles and heartfelt hospitality of the staff. From arrival to the room, during meals, in the bath—everywhere—the spirit of hospitality was evident not only from the staff but even in places where no one was present. The efforts of international staff members were inspiringly beautiful, supported by an equally wonderful team. Truly, people are a treasure.     A Relaxing Japanese Ryokan

    Although it was a last-minute reservation, I enjoyed a relaxing stay with dinner and breakfast included, access to the onsen, a 2:00 PM check-in, and an 11:00 AM check-out. I was pleased to find that a spacious room was still available for my first visit. The charming building and garden truly embody the essence of a traditional Japanese ryokan. While the facility shows some age, it is well-maintained and provided a comfortable experience. The onsen water temperature was slightly hot for someone like me who prefers lukewarm baths, but the quality of the spring water felt excellent. It was quiet before dinner but slightly crowded in the morning. Meals were served as individual Japanese course meals in private rooms for both dinner and breakfast. Every dish was delicious, leaving me fully satisfied by the end of each meal. What left the strongest impression on me was the hospitality. From the shuttle service driver to those assisting with check-in, room guidance, and meal service—everyone's polite language and graceful demeanor made my stay exceptionally pleasant.

    A relaxing Onsen experience and the blessings of mountains and sea made for a luxurious stay.

    We requested a room with a great view and were guided to the top-floor room overlooking Sagami Bay and the Izu mountains, offering a view beyond our expectations. After enjoying matcha tea and special sweets, we headed to the large public bath. The gentle, clear hot spring water allowed us to enjoy a long soak, which was one of our travel goals. Dinner featured exceptional Japanese cuisine that highlighted the quality of its ingredients. The sashimi made from freshly caught Izu fish was served with wasabi, sansho soy sauce, and wasabi salt—it was so delicious we could have eaten endlessly. For our main dishes, we chose rare wild boar stew and abalone grilled on a hot plate; both were generously portioned. The staff at the dining area were cheerful and engaging; their recommended cold sake and warm sake paired perfectly with the meal. The next morning, we visited another bath that had been switched from the previous day’s arrangement. The open-air bath surrounded by autumn leaves left a lasting impression. Breakfast featured beautifully arranged dishes, including "namerou" ochazuke (rice in tea), which I couldn’t resist having seconds of. Although Ito feels slightly far away at first glance, using the Limited Express Odoriko train makes it even faster than traveling to Hakone in some cases. The Shuttle Service running every 30 minutes is also very convenient. On arrival day when it rained heavily, the driver kindly brought the Shuttle Service directly to the station instead of its usual stop—a thoughtful gesture that stood out to us!

    Family Accommodation for an Autumn Weekend

    We made a reservation as the reviews were good. However, during check-in, we had to wait as other guests who arrived later were prioritized. Additionally, we felt that the staff serving meals lacked attentiveness (e.g., requiring us to move to make space during serving, speaking too softly to hear clearly, and delays between ordering and receiving food). The level of service did not meet our expectations. Considering it was a weekend, we found the price somewhat high for the experience provided. The food and bath were excellent.

    It was a wonderful celebratory trip.

    We had the pleasure of staying here for a friend's 60th birthday celebration trip. The Shuttle Service was kind and accommodating. Upon arrival, they took photos for us and welcomed us with tea. For dinner, they prepared a special celebratory meal that deeply moved everyone. Although we were completely full, every dish was delicious, and we couldn't stop eating! In the morning, we were thrilled by freshly grilled horse mackerel and enjoyed plenty of rice as well. It would have been nice to have coffee after breakfast though! The young staff members gave the impression that this is a great place to work. We talked about wanting to come back again as we headed home. Thank you for your hospitality and for creating such wonderful memories!

    I used this accommodation to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, who lives far away. All the staff were very polite, and the facility was, of course, clean with a spacious room where we could relax comfortably. During dinner, they surprised us with champagne and red rice as a service. The staff in charge was kind and attentive, making the conversation enjoyable and allowing us to have a pleasant time. Although there are not many types of baths, it is indeed a wonderful accommodation as per the reviews. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

    A very relaxing accommodation

    I took my elderly mother to a good Onsen and used this accommodation. It was a very calm and relaxing place, and the young staff enthusiastically explained the facilities, served tea, and assisted with meals, even if they stumbled over their words at times (smile). Both dinner and breakfast were incredibly delicious, and I was surprised that my mother finished everything. The dried daikon radish dish was particularly tasty. I found out there was a mini-concert after dinner, which I slightly regretted missing, but we enjoyed our meal so much that we lost track of time in conversation. I feel like I could do something nice for my mother. Thank you for your hospitality!
