    I stayed here after ...

    I stayed here after visiting Nijo Castle (former Imperial Villa). This was my second stay, following last year’s visit. The Room was spacious, easy to use, and very clean. The amenities were plentiful and high quality, so I felt comfortable using them. The breakfast buffet was also excellent—the fresh vegetables were delicious, and I enjoyed the other dishes as well. I would have been even happier with a few more Japanese options, but since they are available at the Japanese restaurant, that may be asking too much. Thank you again for a wonderful time in Kyoto.

    Having a parking lot is much appreciated.

    In Kyoto, many hotels don’t have parking, so it was great to be able to park in the underground garage. Since we stayed on the top-floor Executive Floor, we also had a beautiful view of Kyoto Tower. The selection of drinks in the refrigerator was excellent and we enjoyed it. Although an unexpected incident occurred, thank you for responding quickly even in the middle of the night. At checkout, there wasn’t much explanation, which left us feeling a bit uneasy. There were plenty of amenities provided, but they were loosely placed in a drawer and hard to find, which was disappointing.

    I had plans to be tied up for two days during the hot summer, and I found a great deal with a 5:00 PM check-in and 10:00 AM check-out, so I made a Reservation. After sitting all day and coming back exhausted, it was wonderful to relax in a quiet Room that felt spacious for one person. That alone made me glad I chose your Hotel. For breakfast, I usually go for the buffet, but since I had to leave early, I chose the Japanese set both days. On the second day, you kindly changed the menu from the first day, and I was able to enjoy it at ease—everything was delicious. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration. I’d love to come back next time for sightseeing. Thank you very much.

    Excellent service at the Hotel

    It feels like a Hotel that truly pays attention to its guests and provides thoughtful service. When visiting Kyoto, it’s easy to be drawn to luxury international Hotels, but I was pleasantly surprised to find how wonderful a seemingly older Hotel like this can be. The Room was also very nice.

    A wonderful Hotel with a tower view

    Thank you for upgrading us to a tower-view Room. We were so impressed by the illuminated tower that we slept without closing the curtains. Also, the Room was well prepared, and we truly appreciated being able to check in early. The Hotel has been renovated and was beautifully clean, and the bathroom was very user-friendly—we were completely satisfied. As a Room perk, having complimentary drinks in the refrigerator also made us happy. The meal at Sagano (Japanese restaurant) was especially memorable—the simmered vegetables were outstanding. The sushi and chawanmushi were all delicious as well. The omelet at the breakfast buffet restaurant was average. Overall, the Hotel had a calm atmosphere, a great location, and was kept very clean, so we could relax and enjoy our stay. We would love to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    This Hotel is conveniently located and comfortable.

    It was my first stay in a while. I visit Kyoto fairly often, but many trips are day trips, and when I do stay overnight, I choose an Accommodation depending on where I’m going and the purpose of the trip. Even though I’d been wanting to stay here again, I hadn’t had the chance for some time. This time, I decided to choose a Hotel near Shijo where I could relax. The location is very convenient, yet the surroundings are pleasant and quiet. The Facilities and interior have a slightly nostalgic feel, but you can tell they are carefully maintained. I was pleasantly surprised that the amenities and breakfast (1st-floor buffet) were more substantial than before. The spacious bathroom with a chair, and having a door at the entrance to the bedroom, also made it especially comfortable. Also, the placement of the clock in the washroom was perfect. The staff were naturally courteous without any unnecessary formality, creating an atmosphere that made it easy to relax. It reminded me what a great Hotel this is. I’d love to stay again if I have another opportunity.

    It was my first time...

    It was my first time staying here, and the Room was spacious. The bathroom also had a separate washing area, so I could relax. With breakfast included at this price, it’s a great deal, and all the Hotel staff were kind—I’m very satisfied. I will stay here again.

    Room with a Spacious Bathroom and a Small TV

    The bathroom is spacious, and having a chair is convenient. There are also plenty of amenities, which is nice. However, the TV is quite small—unusually so these days. In addition, it seemed like this Room hadn’t been used much recently, and I gradually became bothered by things like black mold around the bathtub seams and dust on the door louvers that caught my eye when sitting on the toilet.

    A Calm, Adults-Only Hotel

    I’ve stayed in Kyoto many times, and this is a wonderful Hotel. First, the service and interior design are excellent, and the Room was spacious enough and very quiet. The bath area is generously sized with glass walls, and there’s a high chair. It’s so practical that I found myself thinking I’d buy one when I got back to Tokyo. The washing area is the largest I’ve ever seen, and the amenities such as shampoo are of very good quality. Although I had only used the in-Room bath once before, I enjoyed it again in the morning before departure. Breakfast lets you choose between Japanese or Western set meals, served in different dining areas. This time I chose Japanese; it was a calm, classic menu—exactly what you’d expect from Japanese breakfast—and it was delicious. The visitor price for breakfast is 3,800 yen, so I recommend booking a Plan that includes breakfast. I also found some favorite dishes here, and since it’s close to Sanjo Street, I’d definitely like to visit again.

    The design feels outdated.

    There was noticeable aging throughout, including black stains and cracks around the plumbing, as well as the Room furnishings and wallpaper. The meals also felt lacking in care, and I could not find them tasty.

    Exceptional value for money

    I stayed here for one night on a solo trip. The glamorous entrance and the Room, which had a sense of history, were wonderful. The Room has a coffee machine (Nespresso), which is a welcome Facility for coffee lovers. It was a unique experience to have a step between the bathtub and the changing area. The Room was spacious enough for one person, and I had a comfortable stay. The futon and pillow also felt great, and I slept soundly. With excellent value for money and outstanding access to sightseeing spots, I would like to stay again if I have the chance.

    Consistently reliable service

    Thank you again for taking care of me. This time, there were a few moments that stood out. I stay here several times a year, and when my stays are close together, the front desk staff sometimes remember me and greet me with “Welcome back” at check-in. This time, however, someone who was not at the front desk addressed me by my last name and said, “Have a nice day.” When I returned from dinner, before I even asked for my Room key, they had already brought it to me and greeted me with “Welcome back.” It made me very happy. The pajamas I requested once before are always prepared for me now, and the items I’ve asked for are consistently set up in the Room when I check in. Also, the women’s amenities provided in the Room have been changed to a new brand—the fragrance and feel are much better. I will continue to make Reservations as usual, so thank you in advance.

    An absolutely wonderful Hotel in every way!

    I stayed during a typhoon, but the Hotel has an underground parking lot, so I was able to check in without getting wet at all. The Room was spacious, the amenities were well stocked, and the bathtub was quite large. Breakfast even included mango among the fruit selection, and the service was attentive—I was satisfied with everything.

    Completely satisfied

    I stayed here with my daughter who lives separately. It is a lovely, classic Hotel; the Room was spacious, the bathroom was large, and the amenities even included bath salts, so we could relax and feel at ease. Breakfast was excellent, with both Japanese options and a well-stocked Western buffet. We’re already thinking about when to visit next.

    Convenient in many ways

    I stayed with my high school senior daughter for a two-night stay in a Superior Twin Room with breakfast, while attending memorial services for my husband and father-in-law. As with Hotel Okura Okazaki Bettei from the same group, the bathroom had a spacious washing area and even a chair, so we were able to truly refresh. Both the Japanese set breakfast and the Western buffet were delicious. The location is great, with many places within walking distance. Having an ice machine in the elevator hall on each floor was very convenient for a summer stay—we could fill our bottle with plenty of ice before going out, which made Kyoto’s summer much more comfortable than we had feared. I was also happy to receive a single carnation arranged as a birthday touch, and by borrowing cutlery we could enjoy baumkuchen bought at the station and bread from a nearby bakery in our Room. The Nespresso coffee and Ippodo tea bags were also appreciated. Even the tap water tasted good. With warm hospitality and excellent value, this is an Accommodation I would gladly recommend.

    While the concierge service is excellent, the interior needs significant improvement.

    My elderly mother and I stayed for one night on August 8 and 9. We were not very familiar with sightseeing in Kyoto, but the concierge gave us various helpful suggestions, and we are truly grateful for a memorable trip. On the other hand, the Room key was difficult to use. The doors inside the Room were noisy every time they were closed. While bathing, the window remained uncovered glass, so we would like a way to ensure privacy. There is also room for improvement in the amenities, such as adding moisturizing cream and facial cleanser. We would appreciate your improvements.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    I’m glad we were able to stay at an affordable rate during the summer vacation period. The location was also convenient, and we could get to our destination smoothly. One thing that concerned us was that part of the bathroom floor had some darkened areas, possibly black mold. My wife noticed it as well, so we both felt the same way, and I think other guests staying in this Room may feel similarly. I hope this can be improved.

    This was my first stay, and thanks to the warm, hospitable service, I had a very comfortable time. It is also conveniently located close to the nearest station and convenience store. The meals were delicious with a wide variety of options, so I would love to stay here again.

    An older Hotel, but a relaxing place to stay.

    Long-established, highly regarded Hotels have a wonderful atmosphere even as the building ages, and I personally like the comfortable, well-used feel. This time, since my family members who live separately met on site, we booked two Rooms separately. When I asked on the day of our stay whether it might be possible to have Rooms close to each other, they kindly accommodated us, and the children were very happy. It was also nice to sense the staff’s thoughtful care throughout. Breakfast offered a choice of Japanese or Western set meals; I would have preferred a buffet where you can choose exactly what you want to eat, but we enjoyed it—it was delicious and featured Kyoto-style dishes.

    A wonderful Hotel in Kyoto.

    The front desk staff were very pleasant, and although we arrived earlier than planned this time, they kindly accommodated us, which was a great help. Both the Room and the bath were spacious and relaxing, and it has recently become our regular Hotel in Kyoto. A wide variety of amenities are provided, so there is hardly anything you need to bring. The single-use N Organic items are especially appreciated for my sensitive skin. Breakfast is always a Western-style buffet, and every dish is delicious. This is a Hotel I would definitely like to stay at again.
