Room with Club Lounge Access

We chose a Room with Club Lounge access. For dinner, we made a Reservation at the Chinese restaurant on the second floor and enjoyed our meal. The Chinese restaurant provided a celebratory plate when informed it was a special occasion, and the food was very delicious. The Room had well-stocked amenities, and the Onsen had excellent water quality, making it an amazing experience. However, it was disappointing that IKYU Diamond benefits were not available, and there was no explanation about this during check-in. Additionally, for certain Room categories with access to the Onsen post-bath lounge and Club Lounge, there were no staff present or door security in place; anyone could enter freely to eat or drink, which diminished its exclusivity. Furthermore, both afternoon tea and evening offerings at the Club Lounge felt sparse in terms of food selection. If these shortcomings are addressed, I believe this would be a wonderful Hotel overall.
