A city Hotel in the heart of Kobe with a large Onsen bath.

2 nights: December 28th to 30th. Every year at the end of the year, it has been a tradition for our family—my wife and I along with our two daughters' families from Tokyo—to gather at Menard Aoyama Resort in Mie Prefecture. This year, we chose this Hotel because when we stayed at Sheraton Kagoshima, we enjoyed the large public bath and open-air bath there. Since this is also a Sheraton, we decided on it and were very satisfied with the Onsen large public bath here as well. This year, I stayed with my daughter (just three of us), as everyone else joined us a few days later. There are many nice shops in the surrounding area. The night view from the Club Lounge is beautiful. However, there are some points I'd like to mention: The hors d'oeuvres in the Club Lounge were lacking variety; maintenance of the floor in the large public bath was insufficient—it hurt walking barefoot; and water flow time from spouts was too short. Living in Nara makes access convenient for us, and nearby stores—especially high-end supermarkets similar to Seijo Ishii—are excellent. We plan to use this Hotel every New Year’s holiday moving forward!
