A historic accommodation with the best natural hot spring baths.

I appreciated the traditional elegance of this long-established Ryokan. However, the Room was quite far from the large public bath, located at the very end of the Facility. For elderly guests, this distance might feel significant. The dining area also felt far away. Having large public baths on both sides of the Facility would be more convenient. That said, the abundant flow and quality of Onsen water were excellent, truly living up to its reputation as a natural Onsen.

Thank you very much for choosing Nasu Onsen Sanraku. We are truly honored that you enjoyed our pride, the open-air bath. Our hot spring water is sourced from natural springs in Daimaru no Sawa, where approximately 800 liters per minute naturally flow from several rock crevices. The water is channeled directly to our facility through a 5.4-kilometer upstream route without any heating, circulation, or filtration, offering a pure "onsen kakenagashi" experience. The harmony with the seasonal scenery provides an exceptional view. The spring quality is a simple and odorless type, the same as that of the Imperial Villa's onsen.
