    Because I had a grea...

    Because I had a great stay two days earlier after a long time, I decided at the last minute to stay one more night and made another Reservation with the same Plan. However, the check-in experience that day was extremely disappointing. There were only two other parties besides me, so it wasn’t busy, yet I was kept standing and waiting for a long time. The female staff member who assisted me never smiled and did not even say, “Thank you for waiting.” She also had not read the message I included at the time of Reservation and gave no response at all. If check-in was going to take time, I think it would have helped if the bell staff waiting in front of the front desk (I believe there were more than four) had supported the front desk operations instead of just watching, or if someone had guided me to a nearby chair so I could wait seated—small thoughtful actions like these would have made the wait much easier. I mentioned that if possible I would like a Room with similar interior design to the Room I stayed in two days earlier (which seemed renovated), but for some reason I was first shown what felt like an unrenovated Room with an old toilet seat and old shower fixtures. After calling because of how different it was from my previous Room, a male staff member showed me another Room; however, even that one differed from my previous stay in details such as bedside built-ins and lighting, and it was not an interior style I liked. I also noticed heavy dust behind the TV stand in the Room, which suggested cleaning was not thorough. Even though I paid the same rate, it seems renovated Rooms and partially renovated Rooms are mixed together depending on luck, which left me feeling unsettled. Please clearly indicate whether a Room is renovated or still undergoing renovation. It would be acceptable for renovated Rooms and partially renovated Rooms to be priced differently; since Facilities and interior design are important factors when choosing a Hotel, you should also post photos that match each Plan. Also, why are front desk staff unable to confirm what each Room’s interior is like? Because my stay two days earlier left such a positive impression, this visit was especially disappointing and unsatisfying. If Reservations can be made in advance by specifying a room number by phone or similar means, I would consider visiting again; if not possible, unfortunately I do not think I will return.

    The bathroom layout ...

    The bathroom layout was unusual—with a separate toilet, a separate shower, and the sink and bathtub in the same room—but I found it practical. Most people probably just use the shower, and if it’s attached right next to the bathtub, cleaning the entire tub every time would be a hassle. The only thing that bothered me was that there wasn’t a magnifying mirror at the sink.

    We had a comfortable stay and were very satisfied.

    This year, we visited again as a couple for the first time in a while, returning to this memorable Hotel where we once stayed as a family. It seemed our Room had just finished renovations, and everything—from the shower and bathroom faucets to the toilet—was stylish and spotless. The interior and shower were different from the photos shown online, but it was exactly to our taste. Although it was an affordable Plan, our satisfaction was so high that we felt like staying at Bay Tokyu every time we visit Yokohama. The amenities and interior design were tasteful, and we were impressed by how well thought out everything was—from the layout and flow of movement to space-saving furniture such as rounded sideboards and tables with no sharp corners. When our children were small, we stayed on the Ferris wheel side, but this time we chose a city view, which felt more mature and offered a wonderful景色 that we really enjoyed. The location is excellent as well—convenient and comfortable for getting anywhere. All of the staff that day welcomed us with warm smiles, which helped melt away our疲れ. Many new Hotels have opened in Yokohama in recent years and competition seems intense, but we truly hope you will keep up the great work.
