Breakfast was excellent. The Prince-style omelet was consistently good, and I loved the Danish pastries as well. There were also cold items such as prosciutto and cheese, and you can enjoy Osaka specialties like okonomiyaki and kushikatsu. The bread at the lobby lounge on the first floor was also very tasty. It was a two-night stay, but since we were out most of the time, we made a Reservation for the most affordable twin Room. The Room size was sufficient. From the window we could see a bit of the New Tram and the sea. The table and chairs were just the right size for having a casual drink in the Room. There was also a Nespresso machine. The bed was comfortable, but there were yukata instead of pajamas. Separate pajamas are definitely the most comfortable. After breakfast, I hung a “Please clean” sign on the door and placed a card on the bed requesting fresh towels and bedding before going out. (It seems that during a Multiple Night Stay, towel and bedding replacement is generally not provided.) However, when I returned to my Room after 10:30 p.m., everything looked exactly as it had before I left. Since I had gotten wet in the rain and really wanted to bathe and sleep in clean nightwear, I called reception to request replacements. They also removed our trash because it had piled up. They apologized, but there was no explanation as to why housekeeping did not come in. Even at a Business Hotel, towels and pajamas are usually hung on your door even without cleaning service, so providing no replacements at all felt unacceptable. Using damp towels from morning again at night is unpleasant. There was also no particular apology at checkout regarding this issue, which surprised me—I was disappointed that it hadn’t been communicated. Another disappointment was that although there was an air purifier in the Room, it did not have humidifying function. It seems humidifiers can be borrowed, but I assumed they would be small so I didn’t request one. As expected, my tonsils became swollen afterward. I also wish deodorizing spray had been provided in-room rather than only available upon request. This ended up being my most disappointing stay among Prince-affiliated properties so far. That said, service from both—the gentleman with a wonderful smile who handled reception at breakfast on Sunday morning, and the young woman selling bread in lobby lounge—was excellent.
