Experience Nagoya’s most distinguished long-established elegance and quiet luxury.

Having held our wedding at Nagoya Kanko Hotel in the past, we already expected a high level of quality—but this stay on the Espacio Floor added an extra layer of luxury. The Espacio Floor is accessible only to a limited number of guests, and it felt as if there were another quiet luxury hotel tucked inside this long-established Hotel. The guest room struck an excellent balance between fresh, updated design and the calm elegance you would expect from a classic property. The bathroom also felt upscale, and for longer stays the room is even equipped with a kitchen and a drum-type washer/dryer. There is an exclusive lounge, and after check-in we were able to relax during afternoon tea time. Alcoholic drinks such as beer are also available, so even guests who don’t have much of a sweet tooth should feel comfortable. Although more tall buildings have gone up nearby, the view is still quite pleasant; you can enjoy food and drinks while taking in the scenery through large windows. We had breakfast in the lounge as well. Rather than focusing on sheer variety, it delivers satisfaction through the quality of each item. The onigiri and omelets were carefully prepared, allowing us to start the day with a calm and fulfilling morning. For dinner, the front desk kindly recommended family-friendly options for dining with children, and we made a Reservation at “Kuretake,” the Japanese restaurant inside the Hotel. We also used in-room dining for a late-night meal; its wide menu selection, quick service, and consistently excellent taste were all impressive. I was the only one to use the pool, but it had an escape-like atmosphere that reminded me of an overseas hotel—and perhaps because I happened to be alone there, it was wonderfully quiet. Swimsuits and goggles are available to borrow as well, so you can enjoy it without bringing anything. The only drawback might be that getting from your room to the separate building can feel complicated—almost like navigating a maze. There are minor points typical of an older building—such as tight parking—that may stand out. Even so, they are outweighed by Nagoya’s most established Hotel-level reliability in service and by the serene luxury unique to staying on the Espacio Floor. The display in front of the main entrance on Level 1 captivates us every time. We were able to spend an early-summer holiday at ease in a luxurious space far removed from everyday life.
