First Lounge Experience

I have stayed at Espacio several times, but this was my first visit since the lounge service was introduced. My goal for this stay was to relax within the Hotel, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment from afternoon tea to aperitif, nightcap, and breakfast. What surprised me most was that alcohol could be enjoyed at any time. The variety of light snacks and appetizers made it a paradise for those who love drinks. I had a truly enjoyable time. At checkout, I found myself wondering where to complete the process. Previously, there was a reception on the first floor, so it required no thought; however, now the regular reception has moved to the 6th floor or possibly up to the lounge on the 18th floor? When I called for confirmation, they informed me that check-out is done on the 18th floor. Carrying heavy luggage up there wasn’t ideal. Upon arrival and giving my name, they mentioned they were already aware from our earlier call. Since it only involved returning my Room key, I handed it over and asked if check-out could also be done on the first floor—only to hear that yes indeed it could have been handled there as well! Hmm... It would’ve been nice if they had told me that during my initial call... Without feeling like complaining further about this minor inconvenience though—I simply left. Speaking of which—the Diamond Member benefits include Room upgrades and late check-out until 2 PM as part of their perks package! While receiving an upgraded Room felt great—it turned out late check-out wasn’t possible after all? When asking whether foregoing upgrades might allow staying till 2 PM instead—they offered upgraded accommodations with extended stay till only around 1 PM due availability constraints apparently affecting options here too somehow… Accepting compromise graciously then heading back towards enjoying Lounge facilities again afterward seemed best course forward under circumstances encountered overall despite noticing next-day availability listed online via IKYU.com still showing same-class Rooms open strangely enough yet ultimately chalked things down toward operational reasons unique unto Hotels themselves likely behind such decisions made therein eventually resignedly accepted outcome altogether finally moving onward positively regardless ultimately satisfied experience overall nonetheless!
