The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Sannomiya Station, just across National Route 2. After arriving and checking in at the lobby, I noticed a ring toss game next to the lobby. It brought back childhood memories for me, and although it was my first time playing in over 40 years, I missed all five tries. It was rare to see a ring toss game inside a hotel—was this part of the service? My room was on the 4th floor of a 19-story building. Near the lobby there were Kobe souvenirs for sale, and they also sold ice cream. Higher floors would have offered great views of Kobe at night, but since I was on the 4th floor, I could only see the lower nighttime scenery because of all the surrounding high-rise buildings. On the first floor there is a dining area with Union Curry. I ordered a large curry as a late-night meal and ate it in my room. I had a very comfortable stay—the bed felt great and I slept well. The next morning, I learned that the tap water comes from Mt. Rokko. I drank some and it tasted very good. Mt. Rokko’s water is known throughout Japan for its quality. For me, Kobe is the best place to stay in Kansai because it’s lively, the food and water are delicious, sightseeing is great, and it’s such an enjoyable city that I never get tired of visiting no matter how many times I go. Thank you very much. I will come again next time.

So spacious for a Hotel right in front of the station! It was so affordable that I wondered if it was too good to be true, but the Review ratings were high so I made a Reservation—and it really was great. Bath salts and amenities were well stocked. I didn’t use the restaurant, but it was very lively, so I figured the food must be good. There’s also a convenience store nearby. The parking lot was full so I couldn’t use it, but there’s a paid parking lot right across the street, so it wasn’t a problem. I think it’s a very good Hotel!

Despite being in the midst of Tenjin’s urban bustle, I was able to spend a serene time that felt like a different world. I was highly satisfied with everything from the hospitality and Facility to the amenities and dining. This stay reaffirmed for me the essential value of Hotel service: forgetting everyday life, relaxing, and recharging for tomorrow. In particular, the “perfectly balanced sense of distance” in the service throughout the Hotel and the pleasantly unpretentious atmosphere were truly comfortable. As one of Fukuoka’s premier luxury hotels, it isn’t an experience I can have often, but it left a lasting impression and is a Hotel I would love to stay at again someday.

The location and access from the parking lot were excellent. The restaurant and front desk staff were also very pleasant and helpful. I would like to stay here again the next time I visit the Toyama area.

I realized the day before our stay that I had mistakenly made a Reservation for a smoking Room, and when I called, you kindly changed it to a non-smoking Room—thank you very much. Our trip could have been ruined otherwise. Also, as a pleasant surprise, we found out at the restaurant that alcohol was included with the meal. I wish this had been stated on the booking site. The children said there were not many soft drink options. The Facility itself is old, but the service was great and everyone left satisfied. The price is reasonable, so we would like to stay again.

Our first all-inclusive stay. We set off with high expectations for in-room dining and a private open-air bath in the Room! We’ve stayed at many Ryokan, but Umi no Hana, an Accommodation that feels like traveling through time, was truly outstanding in every way—Room, baths, meals, and service (many of the staff are from overseas, and their hospitality is excellent). We definitely want to stay again! Thank you so much to everyone at the Accommodation.

We stayed here the night before going to KidZania. The station is close, and it’s also convenient for getting to other sightseeing spots. It was hot on the day we stayed, and there was a sudden heavy downpour in the evening, but it was great that we could go directly from the hotel to a convenience store and restaurants without getting wet. The staff at check-in were very helpful, and the staff member who guided us early in the morning on the way to KidZania was also excellent. We would definitely like to stay here again.

We stayed for one night. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and generously portioned, so we were very satisfied. The hot spring bath was also fed directly from the source, and it warmed us through to the core.

We chose the Anniversary Plan as it coincided with my husband’s five-year service refresh leave and the month of our wedding anniversary. On this Hakone trip, we used the free pass and hadn’t realized the hotel was on higher ground, so we quickly arranged a taxi to get there. After the hassle of getting there, I briefly wondered if we’d chosen the wrong place—but that concern disappeared as soon as we arrived. From the large lobby windows, we had a clear view of Lake Ashi, and it was immediately obvious this is a hotel with an outstanding view—scenery you can only get from an elevated location. Our room’s balcony also faced Lake Ashi and had a comfortable table set and an open-air bath. There was a Nespresso machine in the room, so we made coffee right away and enjoyed it on the balcony with the complimentary fruit while relaxing together and taking in the lake view. There were two types of coffee. I appreciated that one was decaf—perfect for evening so caffeine wouldn’t affect sleep—while in the morning there was a richer option to help you wake up. It felt very thoughtful. The bathing setup was also excellent: there was an indoor shower room, so we didn’t have to worry about getting cold while washing up, and then we could simply enjoy soaking in the open-air bath out on the scenic balcony. The hot spring water felt wonderful; I soaked many times and my skin felt silky smooth. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious, but especially memorable was the meat: thick yet incredibly tender, with enough fat to be flavorful while still tasting light. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had meat that good before. The tableware was also beautifully chosen throughout, making each course visually enjoyable as well. The staff were all polite and attentive. One newer staff member seemed possibly mixed heritage; her explanations were sometimes a little hard to catch, but her sincere effort came through clearly and left a great impression. Although we only told them about our anniversary on check-in day, they not only prepared a celebratory message plate but also took photos for us at short notice and presented them to us at breakfast the next morning—it became a wonderful keepsake. The next morning, lake fog covered all of Lake Ashi’s surface, creating an incredibly beautiful, dreamlike scene. We made coffee again in our room and enjoyed it together on the balcony—it truly felt like a luxurious time.

It’s definitely not the newest Hotel, but it was well cleaned and comfortable. Personally, I appreciated that even though it’s a unit bath, there was plenty of space around the toilet and enough room to move comfortably to the bathtub. The location near Matsumoto Station was very convenient, and I was satisfied with the price range, so I’d like to stay again. There are only two evening bus services to the Onsen, but if you want to go out for drinks in Matsumoto at night you can’t use them at all, so I would have been happy if there were also one early-morning service.

We stayed with 10 family members across three generations to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday. At check-in, we were given a number ticket and had to wait a bit, perhaps because there weren’t enough staff. However, drinks were free-flowing, and the lobby was lovely, so we didn’t mind waiting. We stayed in the renovated main building. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was one mishap—the bathroom door wouldn’t close—but staff came right away and fixed it so it would close (though it still made some noise). We booked a kaiseki dinner plan and went to the dining venue, but we couldn’t find the reception desk and there were no staff around, so we sat at the table number written on paper. Even after waiting for a while, no one came. When we spoke to a trainee staff member, they came to take our drink order. After that, an experienced staff member in charge of our table came over. Since I had noted in our reservation that this was for my father’s 70th birthday celebration, they brought a red celebratory vest (chanchanko). On top of that, they surprised us with an extra celebratory dish “from the kitchen” and even a gift from the hotel—my father was truly delighted. As expected from Hyakumangoku Hotel. We chose this hotel because we stayed here as a family about 25 years ago and remembered it well—my father said he wanted to stay here again. After the renovation made everything even nicer, being able to return together with more grandchildren than before felt very special. It became a wonderful trip to remember. Thank you very much!

It was rainy on the day we arrived, so we couldn’t use the open-air bath we had been looking forward to, which was a bit disappointing. The next morning, I went to the open-air bath first thing at 6:00 and enjoyed it. With the indoor bath on B1 and the open-air bath on the 9th floor, it felt a little inconvenient to use.

We were completely satisfied with everything. The local fish deluxe course meal was especially outstandingly delicious! Thank you very much.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. As soon as I entered, the front desk staff greeted me with warm smiles, which put me at ease and made check-in smooth. They explained everything clearly, and at the end they let me know that a discount coupon for the shop would be issued for the next day. When I headed to Huis Ten Bosch in the evening, they were smiling as well, so I asked about a shortcut. It was very close—I’m glad I asked. Thank you very much.

The Room had a wonderful atmosphere and was very clean! The loungewear was also very comfortable—excellent! Since it is free-flowing hot spring water, the bath temperature was around 43°C and too hot for our child to soak in, which was a bit disappointing. But other than that, we have no complaints.

The bath was a natural Onsen, and it felt wonderful! However, the shower pressure was very weak, which was disappointing. The building is fully covered with tatami mats, which was great and dog-friendly. Overall, it feels a bit old, with steep stairs and a small toilet... But it was well cleaned and acceptable. The meals were served in the Room, so we could relax even with our dog. Everything was very luxurious and delicious!

Close to the station and very convenient. The Room was clean and well-prepared, making it very reasonable for the price. This time, I had an early departure, so I couldn't enjoy the breakfast at leisure despite the variety available, which was unfortunate. Next time, I plan to have a schedule that allows for a relaxed morning.

I enjoyed the Mango and Melon Afternoon Tea as a high tea after 6:00 PM for one person. The lounge was calm and relaxing, with a wonderful view as night fell. The scones were freshly baked, and the clotted cream melted just enough to feel truly indulgent. Both the sweets and savory items were delicately presented and carefully prepared—everything was delicious. I’m really looking forward to seeing what future afternoon tea offerings will be like.

I had always wanted to stay at NIPPONIA, and everything exceeded my expectations—the facilities, the hospitality, and the food. I especially enjoyed the unique concept of experiencing the town through NIPPONIA properties spread throughout the area.

I was a bit worried because the building is old, but the room in the main building was well maintained, clean, and full of classic charm. It felt airy and comfortable. The hallway restroom, on the other hand, was modern—like stepping into the present day. The first day was cloudy, but we explored the property and enjoyed walking around while feeling its history. We had fun spotting traces of films and Studio Ghibli here and there. Whenever we passed staff members, they kindly shared explanations and helpful tips. Their affection for the inn really came through, and it made me feel that this is how the place has been carefully preserved over time. The bath temperature was perfect—I could have stayed in for hours—and afterward I cooled off in the evening breeze while enjoying the view. It was a truly relaxing stay. Dinner was served bento-style, but everything tasted great: beautifully presented with a good variety, and more filling than it looked—very satisfying. The flavors were gentle with a clear dashi taste rather than overly strong seasoning like many modern hotels. Since it’s such a photogenic inn, lots of people came to take pictures in front of the main building—and I happily joined in too. A soothing place filled with history and character—this is an inn I’d love to visit again.
