Our first all-inclusive stay. We set off with high expectations for in-room dining and a private open-air bath in the Room! We’ve stayed at many Ryokan, but Umi no Hana, an Accommodation that feels like traveling through time, was truly outstanding in every way—Room, baths, meals, and service (many of the staff are from overseas, and their hospitality is excellent). We definitely want to stay again! Thank you so much to everyone at the Accommodation.

I stayed in Nakatsugawa the night before to attend the Kashimo Meijiza Classic Concert the next day. I arrived earlier than expected, but they kindly showed me to my Room early—much appreciated! Inside the building, you take off your shoes, which caught me off guard at first, but I had brought indoor slippers so I was able to stay comfortable. The cafe space has high ceilings and feels clean and uncluttered. Overall it doesn’t have a particularly relaxing atmosphere, but it’s comfortable as a place to stay. You can take a walk nearby, and there are plenty of restaurants around, so it was easy and pleasant to spend time there.

We stayed with 10 family members across three generations to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday. At check-in, we were given a number ticket and had to wait a bit, perhaps because there weren’t enough staff. However, drinks were free-flowing, and the lobby was lovely, so we didn’t mind waiting. We stayed in the renovated main building. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was one mishap—the bathroom door wouldn’t close—but staff came right away and fixed it so it would close (though it still made some noise). We booked a kaiseki dinner plan and went to the dining venue, but we couldn’t find the reception desk and there were no staff around, so we sat at the table number written on paper. Even after waiting for a while, no one came. When we spoke to a trainee staff member, they came to take our drink order. After that, an experienced staff member in charge of our table came over. Since I had noted in our reservation that this was for my father’s 70th birthday celebration, they brought a red celebratory vest (chanchanko). On top of that, they surprised us with an extra celebratory dish “from the kitchen” and even a gift from the hotel—my father was truly delighted. As expected from Hyakumangoku Hotel. We chose this hotel because we stayed here as a family about 25 years ago and remembered it well—my father said he wanted to stay here again. After the renovation made everything even nicer, being able to return together with more grandchildren than before felt very special. It became a wonderful trip to remember. Thank you very much!

A very spacious Room was prepared for us. The coastal view from the Room was wonderful, and the meals were also very delicious. However, there were several large stains on the carpet, which was a bit disappointing.

Thank you for your hospitality. The omelet service at breakfast was delicious. This Accommodation is conveniently located near the station and easy to access. The Room was compact, but I slept very well.

I visit Karuizawa every year and usually stay at a Hotel that costs a fair amount, but this was my first time staying at this Hotel. In conclusion, it was excellent (great value for money). Key points were: 1) Great location. It’s an easy walk to both Karuizawa Station and Old Karuizawa. 2) The Room was better than expected. I reserved the largest Room, and it was very comfortable. The bath was also a large jacuzzi tub, so I could really relax. 3) Great meals. We stayed three nights with both breakfast and dinner included each day; everything tasted good, the portions were just right, and we didn’t get tired of it—very enjoyable throughout. 4) Great Facility and service. The free-flow drinks and various rental items were well stocked, which made it feel like a great deal. There weren’t many downsides—if I had to mention something, I’d say it would be nice to have a large public bath; the foreign staff member’s explanations of the dishes were sometimes a bit hard to understand; and the restaurant could be a little brighter. I’d definitely like to stay again if I have the chance. I just hope it doesn’t become so popular that the Accommodation Fee goes up too much.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. As soon as I entered, the front desk staff greeted me with warm smiles, which put me at ease and made check-in smooth. They explained everything clearly, and at the end they let me know that a discount coupon for the shop would be issued for the next day. When I headed to Huis Ten Bosch in the evening, they were smiling as well, so I asked about a shortcut. It was very close—I’m glad I asked. Thank you very much.

The Room had a wonderful atmosphere and was very clean! The loungewear was also very comfortable—excellent! Since it is free-flowing hot spring water, the bath temperature was around 43°C and too hot for our child to soak in, which was a bit disappointing. But other than that, we have no complaints.

I enjoyed the Mango and Melon Afternoon Tea as a high tea after 6:00 PM for one person. The lounge was calm and relaxing, with a wonderful view as night fell. The scones were freshly baked, and the clotted cream melted just enough to feel truly indulgent. Both the sweets and savory items were delicately presented and carefully prepared—everything was delicious. I’m really looking forward to seeing what future afternoon tea offerings will be like.

I had long wanted to stay at NIPPONIA, and the facilities, hospitality, and cuisine all exceeded my expectations. I also loved the unique concept of experiencing the town through NIPPONIA properties spread throughout the area.

I booked and stayed on short notice due to sudden plans. The hotel’s parking lot was small, so I used the affiliated parking lot, but it was easy to find and there were no issues. The room was clean and well maintained, and I couldn’t hear noise from neighboring rooms. If anything, I would have liked a bit more variety at breakfast. Overall, I think it is a good hotel.

This time I stayed for three nights and made a Reservation here after researching various options. It was a charming, classic Hotel. Some parts of the Room felt old, but some items had been updated. Although it was a smoking Room, there was an air purifier, and even though it was a single Room, it felt spacious. The front desk staff and the cleaning staff were both excellent. Even though I put my things outside the Room just before going out, the cleaning staff responded quickly—thank you very much. I would like to stay again if I have the chance. I was a bit worried because the building is old, but the room in the main building was well maintained, clean, and full of classic charm. It felt airy and comfortable. The hallway restroom, on the other hand, was modern—like stepping into the present day. The first day was cloudy, but we explored the property and enjoyed walking around while feeling its history. We had fun spotting traces of films and Studio Ghibli here and there. Whenever we passed staff members, they kindly shared explanations and helpful tips. Their affection for the inn really came through, and it made me feel that this is how the place has been carefully preserved over time. The bath temperature was perfect—I could have stayed in for hours—and afterward I cooled off in the evening breeze while enjoying the view. It was a truly relaxing stay. Dinner was served bento-style, but everything tasted great: beautifully presented with a good variety, and more filling than it looked—very satisfying. The flavors were gentle with a clear dashi taste rather than overly strong seasoning like many modern hotels. Since it’s such a photogenic inn, lots of people came to take pictures in front of the main building—and I happily joined in too. A soothing place filled with history and character—this is an inn I’d love to visit again.

The necessary amenities were prepared in the room, which was reassuring. The location, twin room, service, Onsen, and breakfast were all comfortable at this Hotel. During our 4-night trip to Eastern Hokkaido, this was the most comfortable stay.

Four of us, who joined the company at the same time, stayed here. It was our first trip as a group, and we had a relaxing, unhurried, and very enjoyable time. The attendant assigned to our Room was fun to talk with and helped create a cheerful atmosphere. We were also traveling with someone who has back problems, and they kindly accommodated our request to adjust the bedding.

I visited relatives in Takamatsu and stayed here with breakfast included. When I went out at night and it was raining, they kindly lent me an umbrella. The Room was spacious, and the bed was large and clean. At both check-in and check-out, staff spoke to me as soon as I approached the machine, so I could complete the process smoothly. I had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

I stayed here with my mother for a one-night, two-day trip. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much, but when we arrived, the staff were very kind, the Hotel was clean throughout, and the Room was stylish, spotless, and very pleasant. For me, the bed was soft and the pillow was just right—honestly the best I’ve had so far. The Hotel parking lot is small, but there were several paid parking lots within walking distance, which was convenient. I’d like to stay here again if I have the chance.

I can’t remember which visit this was, but it was my first time using the “Good Sleep Room.” I guess I’d been more worn out than I realized. I used the foot massager (it was intense!) and enjoyed the Mirabath, which left me feeling refreshed and moisturized. It was a truly relaxing night—something I can’t experience at home. Thanks to that, I felt energized early the next day on my business trip, and even my legs felt lighter and moved better.
