    I would like to stay here again.

    This was my first visit to Hiroshima, and I stayed here. It’s very close to the bus center, and you can also walk to the Atomic Bomb Dome and Hiroshima Castle. Not only was the front desk atmosphere pleasant, but the staff were also very kind and helpful. I had been told it would face Hiroshima Castle, but as it was a corner double, I was able to fully enjoy views of both Hiroshima Castle and the Atomic Bomb Dome, among others. The night view was also beautiful. I think the view from the Room varies greatly depending on the type, so I’m truly grateful that they prepared this Room for me. Breakfast had many international guests, which made me think, “As expected of RIHGA Royal.” The shop open until midnight was also convenient. I would definitely like to stay here again next time.

    We stayed here as a family of three.

    We stayed for one night during Silver Week as a family of three. The Room was very clean and comfortable. We were looking forward to breakfast, but we gave up because 4,000 yen was too expensive. It would be nice if there were several meal pricing Plans to choose from.

    I stayed here on a business trip. The location was very convenient. The Room was clean enough. However, perhaps because there were many international guests, check-in took a long time and I had to wait.

    Check-in and check-out have been changed to self-service.

    I have stayed here 2–3 times a year over the past few years. I understand that changes like this are inevitable with the times. However, I was surprised by the touch operation on a PC screen, which I had never seen before. At check-in, there were no other guests around the front desk besides me, but the PC LCD screen was slow to respond and text entry did not go smoothly, so it took about 10 minutes. In addition, my name could only be entered in Roman letters, and even the signature had to be entered with a fingertip. Selecting options such as Yes/No is one thing, but I have never seen anyone enter text with a fingertip on an almost vertical PC screen. If this kind of input is required, wouldn’t it be more appropriate to use a tablet-type device with a pen? Also, I don’t remember whether there was such an input field, but if entering the Reservation Number could simplify subsequent steps, I think it would be helpful to mention that on (IKYU’s) website. I stay at many hotels, and depending on how well staff handle check-in and how smoothly these self-service procedures work, my impression of the Hotel can change significantly from the moment I arrive. Please consider this. The view from the corner Room on the 28th floor was as wonderful as ever. I also have a Reservation for year-end; next time will be on an executive floor, so I hope these procedures won’t be necessary...

    On my first visit in...

    On my first visit in a while, I was surprised to find that check-in and check-out were fully automated. At check-out, my husband couldn’t find the parking ticket and we were in a rush, but a female staff member kindly helped us with a warm smile. Thank you. Being right in front of the Hiroshima Museum of Art reminded me again what a great location this is.

    As is often the case with long-established luxury hotels, the facilities are outdated.

    It may be luxurious, but the Room’s bath, TV, wiring, and air conditioner are all outdated, and it’s less convenient than a business hotel.

    Great-value Plan

    I stayed at Rihga Royal Hotel Hiroshima because there was a great-value Plan available. As usual, I used the pool. This pool is relatively large, with five lanes. After swimming, I relaxed in the large public bath. Rihga Royal Hotel Hiroshima is directly connected to Kencho-mae Station (the second stop after transferring to the Astram Line from JR Shin-Hakushima Station), so it’s convenient even on rainy days. It’s also close to the underground shopping area Shareo and the SOGO department store. The Room felt a bit old, but there were no particular issues. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Both check-in and check-out were done via a touch panel, so there was almost no contact with the staff. The Room was a corner Room, and even on a lower floor (15th floor), the view was great.

    It was very good.

    All of the bus stops, tram stops, and subway stations were close by, and although I didn’t use it, the bus terminal was also right nearby, so the location was excellent. Hiroshima Castle, Peace Memorial Park, and the downtown area were all within walking distance, making it perfect as a base for a Multiple Night Stay. The Room was spacious and comfortable, and although it was a unit bath, it was plenty large and clean. I was a bit bothered by periodic mechanical noise (maybe the elevator). Since it’s quiet at night, it echoed quite a bit and surprised me at first. I used the laundry facilities; there was no need for detergent or coins, there were plenty of machines, and the laundry room had a cute fluffy sofa. With large windows and a great view, it was very nice.

    Excellent customer service.

    Stayed here for an event. The location is great, so I use it often. The Hotel staff are always kind and provide excellent service. If I had to ask for one thing, I wish the shower water pressure were a bit stronger... (I understand it may be unavoidable since some guests use more water than necessary.) I would like to stay here again next time.

    Luxury that kids will love

    We stayed for one night on the Executive Floor with our child and were satisfied with the location, Room, breakfast, and more. The value for money was also excellent.

    Very disappointing.

    When I arrived at the Hotel at 3:45 PM on Friday, September 4, there was an extremely long line. Unfortunately, it took over an hour to check in. As a result, I almost missed my lecture and had to contact the organizer to urgently adjust the start time. In my experience traveling domestically and to more than 40 countries overseas, I have never had a check-in take more than an hour. This is unacceptable.

    Check-in Congestion

    I checked in on September 4. There was a very long line around 5:00 PM. In the end, I only left my luggage and went out. The Hotel staff responded as if it were normal, and I felt a lack of sincerity. Maybe it couldn’t be helped because it was before the Giants game.

    Good value for money.

    We stayed on an upper floor, and the view was as good as expected. We also enjoyed the breakfast. It was a bit disappointing that the building, hallways, and Room furnishings feel somewhat dated. Still, we had a comfortable stay, and access to nearby restaurants is excellent, so we would like to stay again.

    Overall, hygiene, facilities, and service all fell below expectations, making this a very disappointing stay. Room & hygiene: The Room did not feel clean, and there were ants. The safe deposit box was broken, and the Facility overall is far too outdated. Housekeeping: Unless you hang the housekeeping sign on the door, they will not even replace towels. When I returned to the Room after 5:00 p.m. and contacted them upon noticing this, I was told they could not clean because it was past 5:00 p.m. Staff & service: No matter how many times I called, the front desk never answered. The relaxation staff were extremely rude. Pool: The pool staff were very kind, but it is a paid pool that requires a full Reservation system with one person per lane (maximum five people), creating a unique atmosphere where everyone swims silently. Overall satisfaction was very low, so I will never stay here again.

    My stays are always ...

    My stays are always pleasant, but this time the bathroom didn’t feel very clean. The shower curtain had an odor, there were visible wipe marks on the bathroom counter and mirror, and even the toilet paper was set in reverse—things I hadn’t experienced before, so it was surprising.

    Rihga Royal Hotel Hiroshima

    Both the Hotel and the guest room were very satisfying. The parking is in an off-site lot, and I had some concerns about the map and the clarity of the directions provided.

    I stayed here during...

    I stayed here during a trip to Hiroshima. It was in a very convenient location, close to major sightseeing spots. There were also many restaurants nearby, so finding dinner was easy. I stayed with relatives, and everyone raved about the pillows! They were extremely comfortable, and we all felt refreshed after a day of sightseeing. If I come back to Hiroshima, I would definitely stay here again. Thank you very much to all the staff.

    It was my first time...

    It was my first time in Hiroshima in 40 years, and for the three of us as a family, it was our first visit. Since it’s not easy to travel there often, we decided to stay at a nice Hotel and chose this one. They added two beds to our twin Room, so four of us were able to stay together in one Room. The location was convenient whether we came by train or bus, and we could even walk to the Atomic Bomb Dome. We stayed on the 23rd floor on the seaside, with the sea visible in the distance and buildings nearby. Both the daytime view and the night scenery were absolutely beautiful. There was also a Lopia supermarket in the basement next door, which was very convenient. With IKYU Diamond member benefits, we were able to use the pool and sauna free of charge. The Accommodation rate was also very reasonable. They also stored our luggage both before check-in and after check-out, so we could sightsee hands-free. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Hiroshima.

    That works.

    It seemed there was no hot spring or public bath available, so I can’t give it a three-star rating. This time we stayed in a 26 m² room, and I felt it was spacious enough for two adults. There was also enough space to fully open two 28-inch suitcases without blocking the walkway. The location is close to most attractions. The downside is that it feels a bit old; the air conditioner didn’t cool at first, and it wasn’t until late at night—when we slept without a blanket—that we woke up cold. Cleanliness could also be improved, as there was dust in all the corners and edges.

    Only the parking...

    This was my first stay. I lived in this city for four years back in my student days, and even now I stay here a few times a year. This time I chose this Accommodation because the Diamond member benefits made the rate affordable and came with perks. Access to everywhere, staff hospitality, and services were all excellent. I was especially impressed to see Hiroshima from above for the first time (I was on the 25th floor). Since it was Saturday, 8/15, I entered via the Motomachi Parking access, but there was a huge line. Every lot was full except the Center Building parking garage. Somehow I managed to park and took the elevator up to the shopping area. The connecting passageways were easy to understand, and I reached the front desk quickly. With early check-in, I could get into my Room right away. However, the next morning after checking out, when I tried to head back to the parking garage, none of Center Street/Sogo/etc. were open yet, so I couldn’t figure out how to get down to the Center Building basement… I wandered around for over 30 minutes. I did ask at the front desk just in case, but didn’t quite get clear directions and ended up like this. If you could mark it on an area map with a circle or something similar, I think guests could find it immediately. Still, it helped that the parking fee was cheaper than expected. From next time on, since I’ll know where it is right away, I think it will be fine.

    A long-established, trusted Hotel

    Although the building is a bit old, it is well maintained and thoroughly cleaned, so it felt very clean. All of the staff were professional, as expected of RIHGA Royal Hotel. The location was also great, and we had a comfortable stay.

    The sauna was excellent.

    I was glad this hotel was very close to the Peace Memorial Museum and the Atomic Bomb Dome, which I had wanted to visit again, and the city views from the restaurant bar on the 33rd floor were excellent. Since I made a same-day Reservation, the standard Rooms were fully booked and I was unexpectedly assigned an executive Room, which included free access to the gym and bathing Facility. The sauna was even better than expected—temperature, cleanliness, towels, and the cold bath all made for a truly luxurious time.

    The building, Room, ...

    The building, Room, and location were all great, but the service was disappointing—perhaps due to understaffing. Check-in took as long as 40 minutes, and when returning our luggage, staff did not recognize us and had to search for us. The air conditioning is outdated and does not cool the Room well, and the refrigerator also does not get cold, which was concerning.

    Family Trip During the Obon Holidays

    We stayed here for a family trip during the Obon holidays. We chose Chinese cuisine for dinner, and it was very delicious. The Room was simple but clean, which was nice.
