    I was very satisfied...

    I was very satisfied with the stylish exterior and interior design. The staff were cheerful, efficient, and very pleasant; I enjoyed the lounge, and the breakfast showed great attention to detail. When I come to Nagoya, I’d like to stay here again.

    A Comfortable Extended-Stay Hotel

    The Room was spacious and comfortable, and I could also enjoy the plants, which made it very relaxing. The breakfast served in the Room was also very delicious, featuring plenty of vegetables. I also enjoyed the lounge, which offered a wide variety of drinks from alcohol to soft drinks. It was a little inconvenient that there was no place to hang bath towels in the changing area of the in-room bathroom, and since I stayed on a day when Nagoya had heavy rain, there was no TV in the Room so I watched the news online. During disasters, local TV news is often helpful, so I felt it would be useful to have a TV even if it is small. It was a wonderful place, and I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    It was an enjoyable ...

    It was an enjoyable and good Hotel. The design was lovely, the food was delicious, and the lounge was great. The Room is very simple. I knew that in advance so it was fine, and I think it’s good that there’s nothing unnecessary. We stayed in a top-floor Room, but footsteps echoed a lot. Also, the sound of opening and closing the window to access the neighboring Room’s terrace was surprisingly loud. It woke me up many times at dawn. From around 8:00 until checkout, we could hear very loud footsteps continuously, which became quite stressful. My friend wore earplugs. Also, the staff member who brought breakfast had footsteps that were surprisingly loud as well—I felt sorry for the guests on the floor below. I thought they should be a bit more careful. Other than the noise issue, I think it’s a good Hotel.

    ■Highly recommended Accommodation for a trip to Nagoya■

    We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with our child. It was a last-minute Reservation due to circumstances, but thanks to the smiles and thoughtful care of all the staff during our stay, the three of us had a wonderful time as a family. Below are our comments by category. ■Room The ceiling was high, and when the weather was good, sunlight came in through the windows, making it a bright Room. They prepared a baby crib and a diaper disposal bin at the time of Reservation, so we were able to stay comfortably even with an infant. ■Lounge / Shared Facilities The tables and chairs were well arranged. There were many kinds of drinks including beer, whisky, and soft drinks. Snacks were also plentiful—such as Japanese candy and potato chips—so we were very satisfied. ■Sauna / Bath The sauna was clean and had löyly facilities. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use the bath—perhaps it was under maintenance—which was a bit disappointing. ■Meals We only used breakfast for two days. Both mornings featured carefully prepared menus, delivered to our Room, so we could enjoy them comfortably. ■Staff attentiveness They took great care of us in every detail, making our stay very pleasant. We also appreciate them taking a family photo for us at the end.

    It’s quiet.

    I was surprised to find there was no TV—perhaps it’s intended as a digital detox. If there isn’t a TV, I think it would be helpful if guests could borrow at least a monitor. Breakfast was very delicious.

    This Hotel is baby-friendly.

    We stayed here because we were looking for an Accommodation with a separate bathroom and toilet and baby crib rentals. It was new, all-inclusive, and even had a sauna. The staff were kind, there were events, and it was a very comfortable stay with lots of delicious food at this Hotel. We’ve already made our next Reservation, and we’re looking forward to coming back in three months. We’ll be happy to stay again—thank you in advance.

    The Room was so styl...

    The Room was so stylish—it felt like a space I could stay in forever! My 3-year-old child seemed to love it too and had a great time. The lounge was also wonderful, and I ended up using it many times! Compared with the area around Nagoya Station, the area around the Hotel felt quieter and more relaxing. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Nagoya.

    The concept room is innovative.

    I stayed at SETRE Canal Nagoya. As it has only recently opened, the entire Accommodation—from the guest rooms and large public bath to the lounge—felt very clean, and I had a comfortable stay. The warm wood-accented design and the calm atmosphere overlooking the Nakagawa Canal were also appealing. In particular, the concept rooms offered a unique space unlike a typical Hotel, making for a wonderful, out-of-the-ordinary experience. Considering the Facility features and services provided, I also felt the Accommodation Fee was relatively reasonable and offered great value for money. Overall, I was very satisfied with the Accommodation itself. On the other hand, there were areas where I hope to see improvement in customer service. It was disappointing that many staff members did not greet guests even when we passed each other inside. In addition, when an issue occurred during my stay, the response did not feel sufficiently responsible, and explanations and follow-up were inadequate. I would like to see hospitality raised to match the same high level as the Facility quality. Because this is a Hotel with plenty of appeal that I would like to stay at again, I hope that improving service quality will make it even more highly regarded.
