The wait time for breakfast was unacceptable.

This was our second stay because we loved the free-flowing hot spring water. The relaxing open-air bath and sauna were very satisfying. However, we made two Room Reservations under the same name and informed you both in the notes section and by phone that we wanted adjacent Rooms, but at check-in we were assigned Rooms that were somewhat far apart and had to ask for a change. Although our Reservation included dinner and breakfast, we were told it was a plan without meals. The male front desk staff seemed inconsistent, which surprised us. Last time, breakfast required no Reservation and there was an extremely long line, which was frustrating. This time, we heard the system had changed so that Reservations could be made, which reassured us. We followed the suggestion to book a less crowded time slot. However, there was again a very long line just to get a numbered ticket, and we were not even informed about the existence of these tickets at the front desk, which felt unhelpful. While waiting, staff noticed we had a baby with us, but it still took about 45 minutes before we could enter. We truly hope this will be improved. The sashimi at dinner was delicious. The live kitchen is fun as well, but the meat was tough and sinewy. The sukiyaki portion of meat was far too small and looked nothing like the photo. For breakfast, the French toast was crispy outside and fluffy inside, and I also enjoyed the tomato potage. That said, there were long waits and times when dishes ran out so we couldn’t take any—this needs improvement. Even so, food was cleared away right on schedule regardless of delays in entry time concerns me for those who waited even longer. To be honest,, I wanted service worthy of being called “Sheraton.”
