This was my second stay. Last time, I really enjoyed the “Sukiyaki with Matsutake Mushrooms and Butter-Grilled Autumn Salmon & Mushrooms” course, so this time I chose the classic Plan with a kaiseki meal featuring Mihara’s specialty octopus shabu-shabu and lava-grilled domestic beef. Despite the weak yen continuing due to factors such as the Middle East situation and rising prices overall, it seems they are doing their best with little to no price increase; however, that may be why the meal felt noticeably less satisfying, and I felt the portion size would not be enough for younger families raising children. For guests who want to focus on dining, it would be helpful to recommend choosing a course labeled [Cuisine-Focused]. Even so, the pricing still offers excellent value for money. This year, it seems the “Sukiyaki with Matsutake Mushrooms and Autumn Salmon” course is not being offered, but I hope they will bring it back even if it costs more. This time, we were also able to enjoy fireflies near the Hotel due to the season. The staff are kind, and it’s a great-value Hotel—so I hope they continue offering Plans that let guests fully enjoy delicious food.

Spending time surrounded by uncompromising, carefully curated interiors and decor was truly exceptional. On this trip, everyone was a beer lover, so we worried we might run out—but that concern was unnecessary. The taste was outstanding as well. Also, it’s rare to find an Accommodation where four dogs can stay like ours, so in that sense too it’s a very valuable Accommodation. As expected, there were a lot of insects in summer, so next time we’ll stay outside the summer season. We brought every kind of strong insect repellent in advance, including hangable repellents for the balcony, but in the end the mosquito coils provided as Facility amenities worked best. Since I really can’t handle insects, this was a huge help. Thank you very much.

We stayed here for my partner’s birthday trip. Surrounded by nature in a quiet setting, we were able to step away from everyday life and spend a truly wonderful time. The room was very clean, and the Facility and amenities were well equipped, so we stayed comfortably without any inconvenience throughout our stay. The size was just right, and it felt like a very cozy space for two adults. The sauna is electric, so even someone like me who isn’t used to wood-fired saunas could enjoy it easily—and it still felt authentic, which was more than satisfying. Before our stay, they also shared helpful information such as the destination (Google Maps), what to bring, and recommended nearby places, which we really appreciated. Next time, we’d love to stay for multiple nights!

I stayed at the property in a brand-new condition just over two weeks after its opening. This time, I reserved a Comfort Semi-Double Room, and not only was the size and facility impressive, but I also felt that the overall quality of the setup was higher than other Route Inns. Of course, being newly built plays a significant role in this impression, but I felt this way even in the lobby, corridors, and the bathhouse on the first floor (both the bathtub and washing area were spacious!). It is certain that at least new Route Inns are updated compared to existing ones. Also noteworthy is that the room's TV was a smart TV compatible with Netflix and YouTube!! Due to hosting events, I've had many opportunities to visit Maniwa from Tokyo over recent years. Honestly speaking, there is basically only one business hotel in Kuze-Ochiai area; while it’s a good facility with a homely feel, reservations fill up quickly. As a result, I often ended up staying in Tsuyama or Okayama City and traveling by highway... However, with this new Route Inn opening up here now alleviates some of those inconveniences. Personally though—I hope reservations don’t get filled too fast (laughs). One more thing: due to time constraints during my stay this time around—I left without having breakfast—so next time I'd like experience their breakfast as well! At night they also have restaurant (or izakaya?) services available which I'm interested trying out moving forward. When making reservations through IKYU.com accommodation fees were reasonable too—and as long as there’s availability—it’ll be my go-to property whenever visiting Maniwa henceforth!

They kindly accommodated our last-minute visit. Both the Room and the bath were clean and comfortable, so we’d like to visit again during ski season.

The cuisine, hospitality, Onsen, location, and bicycle rentals—everything was wonderful.

When I lived in Asahikawa, I used to dine at this restaurant because the food was excellent. For this stay, I chose the Plan with breakfast. The asparagus dishes and the ramen made fresh on the spot—along with many other delicious options—were all outstanding, and I was very satisfied. The Room feels a bit dated, but the food more than makes up for it. I will stay here again.

The Room had a private Onsen with an amazing view, and being able to soak in it again and again was truly soothing. My wife and I also had a wonderful time together. Thank you very much for your courteous, kind service, including the teppanyaki dishes we ordered additionally. Reservations are rarely available, but if possible, we would love to stay at this Accommodation again.

To be honest, I stayed without high expectations, but overall it was a very pleasant stay. The Room was spacious and clean, and the meals were delicious. The service was attentive. Relaxing in the Onsen helped me unwind and recover from daily fatigue. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity. Thank you very much.

This Accommodation is located near a ski resort, and the building feels a bit dated. There was still a faint scent of old tatami in the room, but we didn’t encounter any stink bugs that sometimes appear at mountain lodgings, which was reassuring. The bath is an Onsen with a gentle feel on the skin and a slightly silky texture. I prefer soaking slowly in warm rather than hot water, and the temperature was just right for me. Dinner is served around an irori hearth. There seemed to be a tour-bus group staying that day as well, and the dining area was nearly full. Their menu appeared to be different from ours, but our hearth-grilled dishes were carefully turned at the right time by the attendant, and everything was delicious. This isn’t an Accommodation for those seeking glamour or luxury, but what impressed us most was the very reasonable price. It’s surprisingly affordable for a place listed on IKYU—about the cost of one night at a Business Hotel in Tokyo—and it even includes dinner for two. Considering the cool summer climate and this price point, it was more than satisfying stay.

We were very satisfied with the happy hour and breakfast, and the amenities were well stocked. The location was convenient, with a shopping mall nearby, and the front desk and staff were very helpful. The Room was very clean, and it felt like it had been thoroughly cleaned down to every detail. Thank you for taking care of us.

We gathered from various places to celebrate our elderly parent's birthday and stayed for one night. First, we relaxed together in the private bath while watching the clouds drift by. The specially prepared sparkling water was a delightful touch. The Onsen made us quite hungry, so we chose a small portion gourmet plan considering my mother, but it left us all fully satisfied. We were touched by the thoughtful celebration gesture from the accommodation, and the mulberry jam we purchased at the shop on our way home was delicious as well. During our stay, whether it was walking freely on the spacious tatami or feeling the warmth of the staff, there was always a cozy and pleasant atmosphere. Thank you very much!

This was my third stay. After arriving while it was still light out, I first enjoyed Goshobo’s semi-mixed Onsen and the large public bath with its golden Onsen. Since it was summer, even a short soak left me sweating nonstop. In the large bath, I shared the water with someone for the first time here; we had a pleasant chat and ended up soaking a bit longer. Dinner was a lighter, seafood-focused course. The chilled Awaji spiny lobster soup was a perfect match with Koshu wine. The highlight began with sashimi of meita-garei flounder and aged sea bream, followed by more Akashi-ura fish to enjoy. The charcoal-grilled Spanish mackerel and the Akashi sea bream acqua pazza were both seasonal specials you can only have here at this time of year. The broth in the acqua pazza was much lighter than last autumn’s filefish version. To finish, the cheese course left me fully satisfied in both quality and quantity—thank you for the wonderful meal. For breakfast, I switched back to the standard menu: milk, soup, vegetables—an all-around delicious plate—beautiful French toast, and yogurt meant to savor the jam and honey. Everything tasted exactly as good as expected. Even the mini breads were great; this time, the buttery croissant was my favorite. In my Room bath, I topped up little by little while letting it cool slightly, enjoying a pleasantly lukewarm golden Onsen. The breeze through the window felt wonderful: lush greenery everywhere, distant summer skies, murmuring sounds of life outside—and cicadas loud enough not to lose to them. Summer Onsen really is something special. After breakfast I alternated between the golden Onsen and the low-temperature sauna. It was an extremely satisfying holiday stay. Thank you very much. P.S. I enjoyed soaking in Zao Onsen’s strongly acidic, milky-white water with a distinct sulfur scent—this is what an Onsen should be like. Since it’s an old building, there are countless flaws if you start pointing them out, so I stayed while telling myself that’s just how it is. The staff work hard, but not at a level that truly impresses. The meals featured many local specialties and were good, but the rice—the most important part—was too firm at dinner and far too soft at breakfast. This Accommodation is recommended for those who love Onsen.

The complimentary drinks in the lobby lounge, the Room, the Onsen, the parking service, and access to the shopping mall were all excellent.

Conveniently located between JR Station and the Otaru Canal, about a 10-minute walk to either. The Room isn’t large, but it’s comfortable enough. The refrigerator is on the small side. The large public bath and open-air bath were great with well-stocked amenities, but bath towels and hand towels are not provided there, so bring them from your Room or request extras at the front desk. The breakfast buffet is delicious, with each item carefully prepared. Reasonably priced and great value for money.

Our family of five (four adults and our third son, 1 year and 9 months old) stayed here. We had been looking forward to this trip for a long time, but the weather on the day was terrible—so bad we were caught in a sudden torrential downpour. The heavy rain made visibility poor on the way to the Facility, and it was still pouring at check-in, but thanks to the staff’s kind and careful guidance, we were able to get into our dome tent safely. Unfortunately, the bonfire event planned at the center was canceled, but that couldn’t be helped given the weather. Even so, the Facility offered a rainy-day-only service of lending a projector free of charge (normally 1,000 yen). Thanks to that thoughtful gesture, our kids never got bored and we were able to enjoy glamping in a way that only a rainy day can offer. By the time we headed to the large public bathhouse, the rain had stopped for a while and there were few other guests. The men’s bath (with our kids) and women’s bath (for my wife) each felt like private use. We could relax without worrying about anyone else—and for our 1-year-9-month-old son it was his very first large public bath. Seeing him enjoy it without being scared put smiles on all of our faces. Even at night the weather remained unsettled—rain on and off with occasional thunder—but we couldn’t give up on seeing the stars. After putting our youngest to sleep, we took it easy with coffee. When I stepped outside around 3:00 a.m., all the clouds had cleared away, revealing an unbelievably beautiful sky full of stars. Countless stars shone brightly—far more than you could ever see in town—and I felt staying up late was truly worth it. On another note, perhaps because of the heavy rain, a few millipedes found their way into our house tent area and our older two boys made quite a fuss in the middle of night (laughs). We ended up slightly sleep-deprived, but now it has become one more funny family story—something that comes with being surrounded by nature. In the morning we woke up to birdsong. The fresh air made for an incredibly pleasant start to day—a luxurious moment you can’t experience in everyday life. The previous day’s bonfire had been canceled as an event, but they kindly arranged for each house area to enjoy one until 8:30 a.m. next morning instead. Watching fire while drinking coffee and reading was exactly what I’d hoped for. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast together as family on deck in front of house area; meals eaten in nature are something special every time—and everything was delicious. Even after returning home,we kept talking about how much we'd love come back again."

We stayed one night in a top-floor Room with an open-air bath. The open-air bath had a great view and was wonderful. For dinner, we enjoyed Japanese cuisine in a semi-private dining area. It was quiet, we could eat as a family, and everything was delicious. When we stay in Tochigi again, we would like to stay here again. This is a highly recommended Hotel.

Although it was a short stay, it was wonderfully comfortable and enjoyable. The Hotel is stylish throughout, impeccably clean, and offers a spacious, relaxing atmosphere. I also appreciated how the staff were courteous and attentive, always with warm smiles. The bath area was very spacious, and I could unwind in the open-air bath while taking in the forest right in front of me. Breakfast featured plenty of local ingredients and regional specialties; everything was excellent and very satisfying. I especially enjoyed being able to try Toji soba. It was a fantastic Hotel that made me want to return. Highly recommended.
