This was our first trip with our Pacific parrotlet. After researching online, we found this Hotel recommended as a must-visit spot, so we decided to stay here. As this stay also celebrated our wedding anniversary, we arranged a cake, and we were pleasantly surprised when the Hotel provided sparkling wine. Thank you very much for your thoughtful hospitality. It became a truly memorable trip.

The Facility is old, but it’s well cleaned and very tidy. The amenities were fully provided and made for a comfortable stay. The kids struggled a bit with the unfamiliar 3-piece unit bathroom, but it was a good experience. Personally, I was impressed by how easy the combination of the hair dryer holder and cable clip was to use. Yukata are also provided (they were better than those at a large lakeside Hotel). Since we only needed a place to sleep that day, the Facilities and service were more than sufficient. It’s conveniently located close to both the station and the bus stop. In the morning, we had a set breakfast at the Sukiya next door. I’d like to stay again and would recommend it.

As it’s still fairly new, everything was very clean. The cleaning was thorough, and I had a very comfortable stay. There is no bathtub in the Room—only a shower—but there’s a built-in seat, which was convenient, and it was also nice that the toilet is separate. Much better than an awkward unit bath with a small tub. The air conditioner only has low and high fan settings, and even on low it was noisy, which bothered me. I parked at a multi-story parking garage about a 3-minute walk from the Hotel; it was incredibly cheap at 500 yen max for 24 hours. Considering some Hotels add an extra 1,000 yen for parking, I didn’t mind that there wasn’t on-site parking. I’d like to stay again.

I stayed here again for the first time in five years. The food and service felt much improved, which was a pleasant surprise. For example, the rice at breakfast was excellent—among the best I’ve had in Yamagata. I also enjoyed chatting with the staff and had a great time. I’d like to visit again soon.

The cuisine was outstanding and truly moving. Each dish reflected careful selection of fresh local ingredients and meticulous preparation. Given the location, I expected excellent seafood, but the vegetables were beyond anything I imagined. This Accommodation is well worth going out of your way for.

We stayed in the largest Room with five people! It was comfortable, with private spaces as well. We were impressed to find three toilets and a sauna. The stylish space, well-stocked amenities, and spotless cleanliness throughout made our stay very comfortable. Thank you to all the staff for your help. We would love to stay again.

I stay here for climbing Mt. Fuji. This was my third time, and it’s very convenient for getting to Mt. Fuji. The station is within walking distance, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is also convenient. There is a large public bath as well, and it’s very relaxing. The building feels a bit old, but I can spend my time here comfortably and peacefully. I’d like to stay here again when I climb Mt. Fuji next time.

Upon arrival, your son—nearly three years old now—welcomed us with a cheerful “Welcome.” His slightly shy expression was so adorable that it instantly brought a smile to our faces. Having known him since he was a baby, seeing him again each year is one of the reasons we keep coming back. This time we stayed in the Room “Hagoromo.” From the spacious veranda, we could lie back at night and gaze up at a sky full of stars. Spending time there in the pleasant evening breeze, pleasantly tipsy after dinner and drinks, felt like pure luxury. The cuisine was a summer herbal course. The mousse-like sauce made with herbal broth had a distinctive depth of flavor—I couldn’t resist asking for a spoon and enjoyed every last drop. The tomato simmered in herbal broth and served chilled also had more of a Western touch than before, making it an elegant and refreshing dish. The happy-hour herbal-syrup frappe was perfect for cooling down after our walk; it felt truly reviving. The morning coffee also tasted exceptional, so I asked about it and learned they use rare peaberry beans. Because only one bean develops instead of the usual two, the flavor is said to be more concentrated—and I was told the owner carefully roasts them from green beans himself. I was deeply impressed to see the same sincere dedication found in their herbal cuisine reflected in their coffee as well. Once again during our meal, the proprietress spoke with us warmly by our side. I started writing Reviews after last year’s visit, and looking back, I realized that Accommodations I rated highly always shared one thing: heartfelt hospitality with true attention to detail. This Accommodation embodies that better than anywhere else—and I feel that even more strongly now.

I had a comfortable stay. The Room was spacious, which was great. I would love to stay here again.

This was our third stay, and the free-flowing Onsen with no added water is outstanding. One of the highlights is being able to relax together as a couple in the private bath. Breakfast was delicious both to look at and to eat, and we were completely full. The parking lot is spacious, the location is great, and we love the views from the Room—Shirarahama Beach, sunsets, and more. We’d like to visit again when we can find the time.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused regarding our arrival and meals, and we truly appreciate your kind and flexible support. Thanks to you, we were able to relax at ease. Although we arrived exhausted, we were able to refresh properly. We would love to stay with you again.

The natural Onsen was very clean, with an alkaline spring quality that felt silky-smooth and wonderfully soothing. I used it three times. Since I could check availability, I was able to enjoy it privately without sharing with others.

This was our second stay, and it was truly a wonderful Hotel, just as impressive as the first time. The staff were all very kind, and we were very satisfied with the service at the pool, including bath towels and water! Our 3-year-old also really liked how clean the Room was. The candy we received when leaving was given to our child, but it turned out to be spicy—so we would have been happier if it had been a sweet candy instead.

This was our first trip together, and we stayed here to celebrate her birthday. The Room and service were excellent, but above all, we were truly impressed by the meals. Both breakfast and dinner were a wonderful experience. We would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed here last year and had such a wonderful time that we definitely wanted to come back. This year, we chose our travel destination mainly because we wanted to stay at this Accommodation again, and it did not disappoint. Our Room had an indoor bath, but the open-air bath was so relaxing that we never even found time to use the indoor one (laughs). This is truly an Accommodation we want to return to again. This Accommodation was the final stop on our 3-night, 4-day summer trip through Okayama, Tottori, and Shimane, and it was truly a wonderful place to end our journey. Check-in was very courteous and smooth, and I was surprised—in a good way—that an attendant escorted us to our Room while explaining the building along the way, which is rare these days. They also carefully explained everything in the Room, and I was impressed by the traditional level of hospitality. The Room had great taste, and the open-air bath in the Room was free-flowing Onsen water. It was a bit hot, but adding some water quickly made it comfortable enough to enter, so we enjoyed it many times during our stay. With Rooms that have an open-air Onsen bath, insects often get into either the bath or the Room, but for some reason we had no such issues here and were comfortable throughout. Dinner was served in a private room; the attendant’s explanations were thorough, and everything tasted excellent. The final dish seemed especially delicious—my husband and son even asked for seconds. Breakfast was buffet-style. We went at a later time close to last order, but we were not rushed at all and could enjoy our meal comfortably until the end. We chose late check-out as well. Although there were hardly any other guests around at that time (at other Hotels with late check-out there are usually few staff members left and no send-off), they continued to assist us until departure—taking photos for us and seeing us off properly—which felt like outstanding service. In addition, there were foot reflexology massages as well as foot baths, hand baths, and even face baths. Our Plan also included lounge access—all of which we enjoyed. It is rare to find such a large Ryokan (Hotel) with excellent Facility offerings, ample staffing levels, great service, plus wonderful meals and Onsen. It really shows their dedication. We had a very satisfying stay. Thank you very much.

We chose the assigned Room, and it was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were extremely courteous, offering us drinks and even taking photos for us after checkout, which made us feel truly welcomed. As part of the Accommodation was under renovation, they apologized for any inconvenience and even gave us some sweets. We would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed here for a Multiple Night Stay in early August for a family trip. The welcome cruise we had been looking forward to felt like a private charter, perhaps because it was late, and the sightseeing cruise inside Huis Ten Bosch exceeded our expectations. The Hotel is stunning—not only from the outside, but also with an incredibly elaborate interior that feels overwhelmingly luxurious. After walking down seemingly endless wide corridors, we were shown to our Room, which had a spiral staircase; the upstairs bedroom area was charming and was a big hit with our two daughters. For dinner on the first night, we made a Reservation at one of the Hotel restaurants and enjoyed a delicious meal while listening to live music. Breakfast requires some caution as the buffet can get crowded, but everything—including shabu-shabu—was excellent. The only drawback is that the Onsen is located some distance away, though that can’t really be helped. The Hotel staff were very polished and left us with a great impression. Overall, we were extremely satisfied. Thank you for such an exceptional experience.

All of the staff left a truly great impression and were wonderful. I was very satisfied with the Facility and the meals as well. Since it’s right in front of Jingu Stadium, getting around was extremely easy. The only thing I’d like to see improved is that the large public bath was too hot to stay in for long. (Since there are two tubs, it would be nice if the temperatures could be adjusted.) There were children as well, so I felt a bit sorry for them. Everything else was perfect, so I plan to stay here every year when I come to watch baseball games. Thank you very much.

Not only were the Facility, amenities, cuisine, and location excellent, but above all, the staff’s attentiveness, thoughtfulness, and care were outstanding—my husband and I were impressed again and again. During meals, they noticed even our smallest movements and responded immediately. My favorite part was the corner where guests can freely read books. Cold barley tea was neatly prepared as well, and while enjoying the beautiful view outside, I was able to spend a quiet, unhurried time as if time had stopped. It was a Ryokan we were completely satisfied with. We will definitely come again!
