  • It was small but very cozy! The room was clean, and hot and cold water were provided. The futon was already laid out, which was satisfying! The staff were also very kind.

  • Check-in was until 10 PM, but I was able to check in safely around 9:30 PM. Check-in is done at "Mizunokaori," which is a one-minute walk away, and when I told the taxi driver the hotel name, he promptly took me there, saying "I understand." I felt that this area truly is a hot spring town. "Forest Resort Yumoto Komachikan" is basically an unmanned hotel, and yukata and other amenities are self-service. It had been a while since I stayed at a Ryokan, but the room had the traditional atmosphere I imagined, allowing for a relaxing stay. Although the facilities felt somewhat old, compared to the surrounding hotels and Ryokans, the cost performance was good, and I was generally satisfied.
