A seven-room Accommodation nestled in the nature of Tateshina on the western foothills of Mt. Yatsugatake, offering cuisine made with seasonal ingredients.

A small guesthouse to relax in Tateshina We provide a relaxing space, a slow flow of time, and a place where you can feel the beauty of Tateshina, including the changing seasons, nature, and local ingredients, accompanied by pleasant music to help our guests create wonderful memories. As residents of this area, we are here to assist in making your journey in Tateshina even more enjoyable and memorable. We are always curious and continue to take on new challenges with enthusiasm. To ensure that every guest leaves with a smile. - Our Property was renovated in 2015 but is a 30-year-old guesthouse. We focus on cleanliness, reasonable pricing, and hospitality (warm and welcoming service). We strive to maintain an appropriate distance without interfering too much with our guests. - We started this pension after moving from Chiba to live a life free of constraints on "money" and "time." If you are considering relocating to the Yatsugatake area, feel free to ask us about the climate, lifestyle, and more here (of course, there is no consultation fee). Since 2023, we have purchased a home in Chino City, Hiromi, and are currently living a dual-base lifestyle in Tateshina. - There is a grand piano available, which can be used for individual practice or music camps for groups. (We apologize, but the piano cannot be used on its own. It is limited to guests staying or dining with us. For exclusive use of the piano, please contact us for inquiries.)

    Important Requests for Guests When Making a Reservation

    * From November to April, a heating fee of JPY 1,000 per Room per day (tax included) will be charged separately.
    * From June 1, 2026, an Accommodation Tax will be charged separately in accordance with Nagano Prefecture regulations. The Accommodation Tax is as follows per person per night: For Accommodation Fees of JPY 6,000 or more: JPY 200.
    * We are a small family-run pension and prepare the Rooms until the last minute, so please check in after 15:00. Dinner starts for everyone at 18:30, so please arrive by 18:00 (so we can serve our piping-hot pie stew).
    * Free parking is available for up to 7 cars. Please do not park in the neighboring pension’s parking lot.
    * There are about 10 steps from the parking area to the entrance. All Rooms are on the second floor, so please note this if you have difficulty walking.
    * There is one shared bath in the Accommodation. During busy times, bathing time may be limited. If you would like to soak at your leisure, please use the day-use Onsen “Shikayama-no-Yu” (open-air bath and sauna available), about a 5-minute drive from us (tickets JPY 700 per person).
    * If you usually stay at an Onsen Ryokan or similar properties, our twin Rooms may feel small. We recommend choosing a larger Room such as a wide twin, triple Room, or Japanese-style Room and using it as a twin.
    * If you use a smartphone, we recommend searching for “Guesthouse Kreuzel” on Google Maps (or similar map apps) and using navigation for easier arrival.
    * Our Accommodation is located at an altitude of 1,500 m. Even in summer mornings can feel chilly, so please bring long-sleeved sleepwear.

* This is a private bath available 24 hours a day with views of white birch trees. The natural mineral stones help warm both body and mind. * Our property has only one private bath. During busy periods, it will be by Reservation only, so if you would like to soak at your leisure, please use the natural Onsen “Shikayama-no-Yu” (5 minutes by car from our property). (We sell tickets for adults for 700 yen.)

Except during peak periods such as Golden Week and Obon, if you take the shuttle bus that terminates at the Town Center, we can pick you up there. (About a 5-minute drive to Kreuzer; inquiry required.)

From the West Exit of Chino Station (JR Chuo Main Line), take the bus bound for Pilatus Ropeway (about 30 minutes).
After getting off at Lake Tateshina, Shuttle Service by car takes about 10 minutes (inquiry required). If you change your Reservation to a direct Reservation with us, we can provide Shuttle Service within Tokyu Resort, including to/from Lake Tateshina. Please contact us for details.
