COVID-19 Response Policy
In accordance with guidelines issued by the Japan Ryokan and Hotel Association and related organizations, we will implement enhanced infection prevention measures as outlined below.
We conduct a “risk assessment” that considers guest and staff traffic flow and contact points, and implement specific risk-reduction measures based on the results.
Based on the risk assessment for “contact transmission,” we identify shared items and frequently touched surfaces, then prioritize disinfection of high-touch areas to reduce risk.
Based on the risk assessment for “droplet transmission,” we pay close attention to ventilation at all times and ensure social distancing to reduce risk.
Measures in the building and guest rooms
1 Thorough disinfection and sterilization
(1) Alcohol-based hand sanitizer is placed throughout the property, and hand hygiene is encouraged.
(2) Tables in the lobby and restaurant, as well as frequently touched surfaces (door handles, stair handrails, elevator buttons, remote controls, etc.), are disinfected by wiping with alcohol.
2 Thorough air purification
Air purifiers are installed throughout the building and in guest rooms to help keep the air clean.
3 Thorough avoidance of the “Three Cs” (closed spaces, crowded places, close-contact settings)
(1) Shared spaces are ventilated regularly.
(2) We take measures to ensure social distancing and prevent droplet transmission (e.g., standing positions during check-in procedures, installation of transparent partitions, seating layout adjustments).
(3) Restrictions on use of the large public bath (*Currently closed until further notice.)
4 Thorough hygiene management for food service
(1) Depending on conditions, buffet service may be replaced with set menus.
(2) Disposable gloves are provided for guests when serving food; tongs are replaced regularly (approximately every 30 minutes).
