  • A pleasant fragrance

    I have stayed here several times.The lobby is always filled with a soothing aroma.Artworks are displayed at the Hotel entrance, along the corridors, and near the elevators.There is also art on the guest room walls, making this a Hotel with a strong sense of aesthetics.The room size and furnishings are just right for me.The only drawback is that it’s a bit far from JR Kyoto Station on foot, but it’s still within walking distance.I would like to stay here again.

  • Filled with your favorite scents

    I stay here several times a year and keep coming back—the natural aroma scents and carefully selected ingredients soothe me every time. The new summer welcome drink, which wasn’t available before, looked refreshing and was gentle on the body. Since it was a Multiple Night Stay, I was able to try all three syrups. Mint when I want to feel refreshed, cinnamon when my stomach feels tired, and red shiso when I feel like I might lose to the summer heat—each cup was truly comforting. I hope this becomes a regular offering from now on. The spiced chai at breakfast also felt uniquely special and was delicious.

    At Hotel Anteroom Kyoto, we will be carrying out exterior and interior renovation work to provide our guests with an even safer and more comfortable stay.

    We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to guests staying with us, and kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation.

    From the end of June 2026 onward, due to exterior wall work, some guestroom windows will have restricted opening/closing in order to prioritize guest safety. In addition, contractors may pass by on scaffolding outside the windows during daytime hours. To protect your privacy during your stay, we kindly ask that you keep the curtains closed.


    * Temporary noise, vibration, and odors may occur.
    * Due to scaffolding installation on the exterior walls, please refrain from opening guestroom windows during your stay.
    * Construction personnel and vehicles will be entering and exiting the Hotel premises as well as nearby roads.

15-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station Hachijo East Exit.
8-minute walk from Kujo Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line.
From Exit 4 of Kujo Station, go above ground and head right (south along Karasuma Street). Turn right at the Karasuma Sanno Tsuji intersection, proceed straight for 30m, and find us on the left-hand side. Look for the postbox in front of the Hotel as a landmark.
