Opened in 1967. An Onsen Accommodation that preserves and shares the timeless charm of traditional Japanese culture from the Showa era.

A vast Japanese garden that reflects the beauty of every season and the rare radioactive cold mineral spring, “Yusaka Onsen,” gently restore body and mind. Enjoy kaiseki cuisine carefully prepared with seasonal Setouchi ingredients, for a warm, nostalgic stay. Timeless charm and heartfelt hospitality bring comfort to an adult getaway.

  • Welcome drinks, especially the cold sake, were a delightful touch appreciated by the host. Although the walk to the bath was a bit long, guests could choose their yukata, and the men's and women's baths alternated daily for added variety. The Room was a spacious Japanese-Western style, and dinner was served in just the right portions. After check-out, guests could relax in the lobby or garden at their leisure.

  • I stayed the night before my plans in Takehara as it was my first time using this service. Since I had planned to go to a lunch buffet with friends the next day, I appreciated having a dinner-only option. The Room was on the same floor as families, and they kept their doors open while talking loudly until nearly midnight, which was noisy. The Room seemed close to the elevator, so I could hear noises and woke up early; however, this allowed me to enjoy an early morning bath. I enjoyed tasting different types of sake and found the peach juice delicious as well. It was nice that I got to see fireflies after hearing people at a nearby table talk about them. Thank you very much!

Opened in 1967. This calm retreat, filled with the warmth of wood and the gentle comfort of tatami, has been partially updated with modern touches while preserving its distinctly Japanese character. More than 100 paintings and artworks are displayed throughout the property—truly a “museum you can stay in.” Gaze out at nature, immerse yourself in art, and surrender to unhurried time. Here, adults can find true relaxation amid the timeless atmosphere of Japan.

Surrender yourself to “Enmei no Yu.”

Yusaka is a storied hot spring area where Sugawara no Michizane is said to have rested on his journey to Tsukushi, and where feudal lords also stopped during the sankin-kotai system. The Onsen that springs from a well on our grounds is a rare “radioactive cold mineral spring,” even by Japanese standards. This gentle water, containing trace amounts of radon, has long been cherished as the “Onsen of Longevity.” It is believed to be beneficial for hyperuricemia, neuralgia, and rheumatism, and is also known as an Onsen for therapeutic bathing. Surrender yourself to these historic waters and enjoy a moment that gently restores both body and mind.

Fresh spring buds, lush summer greens, vibrant autumn foliage, and crisp winter air. As the Japanese garden changes with the seasons, so does our cuisine. A carefully crafted kais-eki course featuring seasonal ingredients nurtured by the sea and mountains of Setouchi. Each dish enjoyed while gazing out at the garden gently conveys the passing of the seasons. S savor the colors of the season, where nature and cuisine resonate in harmony.
