    A Special Evening Featuring a Night Visit to Zuiganji Temple and a Full-Moon Kaiseki Dinner

    YOKI MATSUSHIMA presents a special stay program available only on select autumn nights.

    The beautiful moon over Matsushima—one of Japan’s Three Scenic Views—once captivated Lord Date Masamune and the poet Matsuo Basho.

    With the cooperation of the National Treasure Zuiganji Temple, we offer an exclusive program for Accommodation guests only.

    After regular visiting hours, enjoy a private nighttime viewing of the National Treasure Zuiganji Temple. Guided by a Buddhist monk, you will stroll through the serene temple grounds and main hall at night, experiencing spaces not normally open to the public and taking in a moment shaped by history and prayer.

    After the visit, savor our special dinner course, “Mangetsu Kaiseki (Full Moon Kaiseki),” inspired by the “Moon Road” traced by moonlight across calm waters.

    Carefully selected seasonal ingredients from Miyagi’s Sanriku coast and across Tohoku are presented dish by dish with autumn’s bounty.
