A beautiful Hotel with views of Lake Tazawa
It was pleasant that everything—from the lobby and hallways to inside the elevator—was covered with tatami mats. Right after check-in, we were welcomed with cold matcha tea, which was a nice touch. Both breakfast and dinner were served in a private room across the hallway. The simmered kinki (rockfish) was especially delicious. The staff were also very attentive. I think it would have been perfect if face towels were provided in the large public bath.

There are no extravagant services, but I was fully satisfied.
Our family of four stayed for one night. As the title suggests, there are no flashy services at all, and the Room feels like an old-style Ryokan, but the building is well maintained. The Onsen is small, yet it was never crowded and we could relax comfortably. There is a dining room in the Room, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Not only were the ingredients great, but I believe it also reflects the chef’s skill. For that alone, I felt it was worth making this our regular Accommodation.
