  • As a travel-loving couple, we’ve recently been taking trips where we stay at a Hotel and eat at local restaurants, so this was our first Ryokan stay in a while. We were completely satisfied with everything—the Room, the bath, and the food—and were able to relax and take our time. The Room was honestly too spacious for just two of us, but every space—the Japanese-style room, Western-style room, and bedroom—had its own charm and was wonderful. The bed was also extremely comfortable, and we slept soundly. We also enjoyed the Bluetooth speaker in the Western-style room; it had great sound quality and created an atmosphere that felt like being in a bar.The open-air bath in the Room had continuously flowing natural hot spring water, so we could soak right away after arriving and truly unwind.Dinner featured locally produced Aizu cuisine, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The recommended sake was delicious as well, and it was nice to be able to ask casually for suggestions while choosing. The pricing also felt very reasonable overall. If I had to mention one thing, breakfast was slightly disappointing: refills of rice or tea had to be requested via the in-room phone, and they took quite a while to arrive—so it would have been better if tea had been left in a pot.We were happy with the service too, and would love to visit again if we have the chance.

  • Based on the name “Hanare” and the photos online, I had assumed it would be a small Accommodation.I also imagined that “Hanare” would offer not only Rooms but also an auberge-style dining experience. As a large Hotel, it was a good Hotel. It would have been nicer if the dining area had a brighter atmosphere.

    ■ Parking: To help prevent issues (vehicle damage, accidents, etc.), guests are generally asked to move their own vehicles. Please note that the area in front of the entrance is a drop-off zone and, in principle, parking is not permitted there. We are not responsible for any accidents or trouble in the parking lot. Thank you for your understanding.

    ■ Dinner/Breakfast times: Once you arrive at the dining venue, we will seat guests in order as soon as preparations are ready. Seating times may vary slightly depending on conditions and other guests, and you may be asked to wait at the venue.

Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for any related trouble.

    ■ Taking items from the room: Please do not take any items home except in-room consumables (single-use amenities and towels). If removal is discovered, you will be charged for replacement costs and related expenses, and we may file a police report if necessary. *Books within the Accommodation; colored yukata robes and obi belts; geta sandals; shoe clips; provided amenities; bath towels; etc., may not be taken.*

■Luggage assistance by staff: To prevent issues (damage, loss, etc.), we generally do not carry or move guests’ luggage. If you have many items and need assistance, please contact the front desk. Please note that we cannot accept any responsibility for damage or loss if staff assist with carrying your luggage. Also, luggage assistance may take some time.

■Guidance to your Room: If you would like to be escorted to your Room, please contact the front desk. Please note that it may take some time before a staff member can assist you.

■Spider webs / insects inside the building: Our inn is surrounded by mountains and located in nature with a mountain stream and two large waterfalls nearby. For this reason, depending on the season, insects may enter the building. We remove spider webs during cleaning; however, spiders can build new webs within 2–3 hours, so webs may appear after check-in as well. As our Facility is built along a cliffside, window cleaning is limited to staff with high-altitude work experience only. If insects are found in your Room and you are concerned, our staff will come to remove them. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

■Entering guest Rooms: We consider each guest Room a private space and make every effort not to disturb you. Therefore, attendants/management will not visit your Room for greetings or tea service.

Upon arrival at the Facility, bathtubs are generally empty; if you wish to bathe, please fill the tub yourself starting about 30 minutes in advance.
Some Rooms may have tubs already filled; however, please adjust/fill as needed yourself so that you can bathe at an appropriate temperature and condition.

Therefore, even if the price increases (for Plans including 1 night with 2 meals), there will be no changes to meal contents. Thank you for your understanding.

■Important Notes and Requests During Cleaning and Futon Setup... We outsource various cleaning services (including futon setup) to a cleaning contractor. During cleaning (when preparing your futon), please be sure to keep valuables with you or use a safety deposit box/safe.
