  • This is an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again.

    It was my first mother-and-daughter trip in a long time with my daughter who lives in Tokyo.From the moment we left our luggage before check-in, the staff were wonderful. When I checked in and looked hot, a male staff member quickly brought me a cold wet towel.The staff we passed in the hallway,the staff who offered welcome drinks in the first-floor lobby,and the pregnant female staff member who guided us at breakfast (I wonder if she has started her maternity leave?)—everyone was so kind. The breakfast was delicious no matter what we chose, and the kitchen staff were also truly pleasant. We were completely satisfied with everything.The Room was clean and showed great taste.We rested comfortably.Perhaps because it’s not a large property,it was very quiet and relaxing.The beautifully arranged fresh flowers at the entrance were also wonderful.It became a truly enjoyable trip to Kyoto.Thank you very much for your hospitality.

  • This is my second st...

    This is my second stay. After my previous stay, I mentioned a small concern in a comment, and I received a prompt reply, which left a very positive impression and made me want to stay again. During this second visit, I was warmly asked at check-in if there was anything they could help with, which made me glad I came. The hallway leading to the Room and the interior atmosphere were both excellent. I will definitely stay here again.

  • Notice of Changes to the Collection Method for Kyoto City Accommodation Tax

    Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Hotel Kanra Kyoto.

    Until now, we have collected the Kyoto City Accommodation Tax separately at check-in (“tax excluded” method). However, for stays with check-in on or after March 1, 2026, we will switch to a “tax included” method in which the Accommodation Tax is included in the Accommodation Fee.


    ■ About the handling of the Accommodation Tax

    The collection method for the Accommodation Tax will be determined based on the date your Reservation is confirmed.

    We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, but even if your stay is on or after March 1, 2026, the Accommodation Tax is not included in the Accommodation Fee.

    As the Accommodation Tax is included in the Accommodation Fee, no payment will be required at check-in.

    Even if you change your stay dates, this will be determined based on “the date your Reservation was first confirmed.”
